- We've reached my favorite part of any remodeling project: DEMO! In this chapter, I talk about the 3 things I kept in mind when taking apart the interior of the vintage camper, plus I discuss what I looked out for in terms of safety (I did nearly all of the demo while pregnant).

Hello, we just got a 55 Royal mansion. We’ll be working on it for the next year. Thanks for all the info! 5:45 thank you for the asbestos info. I think our floor definitely got it. That’s our first project. Congrats on the little one, hope all is well and healthy!
I just discovered your channel and am enjoying watching you transform Ruby! I know as a new mom it is hard to balance everything, but hope to see more on this project. 😊
Hello, my name is Bill. I'm working on a 1957 Executive Mansion. It is in great original condition. First replacing soft spots around toilet and backdoor.
If only I could work as fast as you! What fun to find your channel...
How cool! We have some spots to work on for sure, particularly the wheel area. But I hope we can bring her back to life. So glad to have a fellow Spartan remodeler watching along!
It's great how your just moving right along with this project. Your vidio's are 👍
Thank you! Next one should be coming out soon!
Waiting for update please.
We just bought a 73 Banner motorhome. Watching a lot of restoration videos, but no one is showing the final videos??
Going to start recording tomorrow hopefully i can record all the way from start to finish.
Luckily we have a large yard and were able to put in our side yard close to house and water and garbage area.
Hopefully we'll be able to get ours done faster than slower.
However hubby lost job 3 days after buying ours.
My brother bought some hunting property and it has an old camper on it, and We are considering reviving it. I love your videos. Can’t wait for your next one.
Working on the next one soon! We’re having trouble finding the subfloor material but as soon as we have it that episode will be out!
So let’s see the finished product
This is a series, you’ll have to keep watching but the finished result isn’t done yet
Tell Kyle we like him better than the tree..........and what a wonderful video! Your son can look back and say "Mom, you are a bada** !"
I also subscribe to a few "Skoolie" conversion channels - similar starting points - great ideas in some of those - perhaps an inspiration for Ruby?
Haha I’ll definitely try to get him in more videos in the future! But this time our schedules with Ellis made it difficult to get us both on camera and I wanted to keep my promise not to make folks wait too long on the next video. But you’ll see more of him no doubt. I’ll take a look at the Skoolie stuff, thanks for the tip.
There's a business in Peru, Indiana that specializes in old Spartan trailers... They usually have plenty of odds and ends for sale.
Also, there's a fella here on the Toob named Brian Casson... He's out in Colorado.
His Spartan restorations are magnificent... And he seems like a really, really nice person... I'm sure that you two could develop a great relationship with him.
Cheers!
Thanks for that tip!
@@UglyDucklingHouse OH! that place in Peru, Indiana is actually called "Vintage Campers".
I restored a 1955 Spartan Mansion 25 footer years ago... I sure miss that trailer!
Currently, we have a '77 Dodge Landau Regency 34' motorhome... We've found a lot online in some out of the way places...
Two that come to mind are "RV FABRICS" , they're part of a surplus company in Elkhart, Indiana.
They sell BEAUTIFUL, commercial quality upholstery fabrics for around $10 per yard.
We recently reupholstered a mid century "Gondola" sofa with some beautiful blue and green wool yardage... Turns out that it's a Herman Miller fabric that retailed for around $275 per yard.
And there's also a company that manufactures the old style Linoleum, under the name MARMOLEUM... absolutely beautiful stuff.
Cheers😁
Any update on the Spartan
I am going to go look at a 1946 schult, exterior looks similar to the spartan but this one has lots of hopefully surface rust. Any recommendations to look for before making a deal to purchase
Hi is there a part 2 please 😊
This is episode 6, more episodes are coming this spring (I focus on this project every spring & return to home projects the rest of the year). We moved near the end of last year, including the trailer, so lots to share.
I need closure!!!! How’s the build going?
Slow! We have begun taking apart and rebuilding from the subfloor up. Sourcing the subfloor became really expensive and we had a big move this summer but we’re back to work on it this month, so we’ll have the next episode soon.
WHY N0 More Videos??? 😢😢
Because things take time and cost money, and restoring this camper is an expensive side project. More videos are on the way as my budget and schedule allows.
@@UglyDucklingHouse sorry, not being rude, just was looking at the posted dates, was wondering how the progress is coming along. Such an amazing project! Wishing you positive success!
Progress is coming! I’m so glad people love this project and want to see more. Doing the best I can though because restoration can get very costly when parts are this rare! I have some recent updates on my Instagram but the new subfloor is about halfway done. That will be the next episode unless I get the new windows in first.
We are interested.
