Tbh losing even one space marine to these goofy basicaly super weaker version of guardsmen would be considerated a major loss.
Broken but surviving commando droid to the commander of the Separatist army - It was ter... ter... terrible Siiir, they were monsters compared to the pathetic clo... clones.
Commander - where are the other droids besides you?
Droid commandos - we were destroyed one... one after another, they came at us with their bare hands and strange swords, like jed... jedi, but they were iron and scary-looking swords. And... And... (turns off).
Commander - Well, now we know who our enemy is.

What do you think of doing sub factions? Like for droids. You can do the Trade Federation as a sub faction. Like only using vehicles and droids from Star Wars episode one. Basicly for a sub faction. You only bring things for that army that use stuff for that sub faction. A few more example are. Take the clone army of the republic, and only bring clone commandos for the infantry. And that sub faction is the Clone commando army from clone commando game. And you could bring the 501st from clone wars. As a sub faction. Or you could bring the phase 1 clone army that fought at Geinosis. And for a last example. Take the chaos space marines faction. And only bring tzench space marines, and tzench demons as the infantry force. And that would be the sub faction of the 1000 Sons of Tzench.
The Trade Federation is the one making, selling, and maintaining majority of the droids and weapons. You're not going to get a weak sub faction using B1s if you force them to mobilize, you're getting a faction far stronger than the CIS, they are a core faction, and they are deadly.
Ep 1 was them trying to remove a tax that was sanctiones on trading routes, not start a war from my understanding. Grandpa bad touch used them to get the senete to talk about making their own army. Trade Federation will absolutely use the higher grade droids, and definitely illegal weapons as a main force over B1s and B2s. They didn't mobilize in SW, because they sold to both sides in the clone wars.
Like your thoughts though.
Me: These machines are weaker than the imperial guard. Something tells me we're not in our system.
