This is my favorite leather company videos to watch, I love the way you edit them, the style and the fun you put into them. I love your leathercrafting.
Artie, THANK YOU for sharing you talents with the world. I feel like I am getting a free apprenticeship in leather craft. Your videos offer unique techniques that I have implemented into my craft. As a true beginner I can say you have help me learn this craft. Thank you for your commitment to these videos and to leather craft.
Brother, I am speechless. Thank you so much. I will use this notebook cover for the rest of my lifetime, much like my Mascon Leather Wallet, and afterwards it will continue on in my family as an heirloom, honored by future generations. With technology, it is hard to fathom that my great grandson, after receiving this notebook as he heads off to college in the year 2050, could essentially look this video up and watch its creation by the master's hands ❤️
Okay I came here for the leather work, BUT that ruler trick... I've never seen that done before in my life but it is SO useful! Mind blown, new trick learned. Thanks sir
My Sunday is complete!!! BTW there is a great fractional calculator app for the iPhone. As a woodworker I use it all the time since I'm old and my brains is mush...
Watching you try to figure out the fractions makes me so glad I live in Canada and use the metric system! I suck at fractions! Lol. This build would be perfect if it had a pen holder! I think I’ll make one!! Thanks for the video!
Was wondering how the hard cover notebook slides into the leather sleeve. Do you have to widely open the cover backwards to work it in? Is it easy to insert? I always thought the inside sleeves could only be about half the width of the cover.
@@MasconLeather is there not a rivet gun for leather work and leather specific rivets? I'm trying to be serious, so please don't think I'm joking or being rude.
@@MasconLeather Thanks for the video! You can see a lot of interesting things and laugh at the same time! Everything is done with humor! Your dog is cool, he loves coffee with whiskey! ....) Thank You!
Brother. Where did you get that “sanding tool” you use to edge the leather. It looks like a skiver but more of some kind of rasp (to help with gluing)Or is it something custom you made? Love your videos.
Love the videos. What is the tool your using to scuff the edges of the leather to prepare for gluing? I’ve looked around and can’t find anything like it. Keep up the good work.
Your long pause while trying to add the fractions made me laugh! Btw, I've been recently binge watching your videos. I am hoping to start leather craft this month and I'm trying to soak up as much content as I can. Could you tell me what your circle cutting tools are called? The brass looking ones with different sizes of circles, you use them to cut your corners... Thanks! Great content, keep it coming!
Love the vids as always. Picking up great tips in just about each one--- Question: what do you do with the left over copper stems (?) from the rivets? I've noticed in several videos you collect them in what looks a mortar. I imagine you have some tonnage to deal with as many rivets as you peen. :^)
Amazing leather worker with an alcohol problem an obsession with bras? lol welp I will keep watching because the products are great but not sure the extras do your work any justice.
It started years ago in my Instagram (IG) posts. The thousands of IG followers (58,000+ now) came to expect it, so it carried over into the UA-cam videos.
@@MasconLeather That is awesome, i get it I just am not an IG follower so didn't know there was history there. but hey if people like it more power to you. I just notice oddities.

Great Video.
Another great video....

Can't you use a rivet gun for placing the rivets? Or is it too much force/ pressure ?
Totally different rivets. These are solid metal. And …. Well, simply put, no.

Where did you get that square you're using for aligning the pieces at 8:50? That looks really handy.
I had them custom made by a machinist

It’s a rougher. Custom made by my son. He makes a lot of my tools. If you watch the “making a railroad spike” video on my channel, that’s him.
Hello. What stamping set is that and the metal thing u use to place them in?
I had it custom made years ago. Check out hex n hit
