When he realized the iPad could shrink to a phone size,... he focused on it. So,... yup. He was biting his tongue in this video. I could tell how he was evading the question, and at the end he just said: “I’m gonna have to leave the answer to our actions in the future.” 😅 And laughs nervously.
      What really surprised me, though, was that they quoted Bill gates saying that, “the lifespan of the iPod is limited, because it all will move to the cellphone.” 🤔😮

Cisco sued apple for the use of the NAME 'iPhone'... apple didn't steal any 'designs' from them, it was simply that cisco previously had some shitty phone that they called the 'iphone' before apple released their revolutionary 'iphone' and so their lawyers realised they could make a few $$$ and sue for the name
      The shit you read in youtube comments, that cisco invented the modern smartphone LOL. I mean really just go and google 'Linksys iPhone' and actually look at that thing... you're telling me apple stole that design to make the iPhone? LOL!!!!

      The problem was that Opera Mini, TCPMP and Google Maps were late 2008-2010 Blackberries too slow even if OS was briliant, what Apple introduced was Windows Mobile 6.5.2 coherent, fast, easy to use and right time when people wanted. There was bunch of them before that bunch but tot made good enought Samsung i900 wit original ROM is awful example. WM6 czanges that little yet still Blackberry were better. IPhone was all about OS made to be simple yet capable having apps and 3D games stack lack of it killed Blackberies and WM, having this tested in Java SE made Android so popular. IPhone wasnt anything special it was right moment, right time and good choice for telecoms. Just for telecoms so people paid 300$ to have it not full price as other in regular shop. Right moment, get into peoples needs. Nothing that woyld not exist before.

    • @KabelkowyJoe
      @KabelkowyJoe 5 років тому

      Jobs already said that strategy in 1997 to Rapsody he just has this mindset all the time, this made him unique, to make something good, so he could use. I900 is example of product that looks like iPhone got even trackpad as Blackberries but not giving user ecperience. Once i saw Cook watching new power Mac metal one like he newer saw.. i realised what is wrong with apple now. It wold be never the same.

    As time goes on, I appreciate Jobs more and more. Apple is doing fine without him. However, he really set them up for success. I also think Tim Cook should get a lot of credit for keeping Apple with a sharp focus. Apple is not perfect, but they many things very well, that I can accept paying a little more etc.

    Its crazy to hear him talk about the phone and when they press him about making a phone. You can tell he wants to talk about it but he cant because of NDA. And he actually does a great job of dodging the question and discussing around it.

  •  5 років тому +3

    And he was asked the question, he didn't want to respond with a clear YES! regarding "what about an iPod phone?"
