- A DIY auto mechanic describes must-have tips for replacing spark plugs on a 2007 Toyota Camry with a 2AZ-FE 2.4 Liter VVT-i engine.
The most common signs of bad spark plugs include start-up trouble, engine knocking, rough idling, sluggish acceleration, declining fuel economy, engine misfiring, engine timing issues, and engine knocking. Pro Tip: 2AZ-FE engines are used across 10 Toyota models between 2002 and 2013.

What an incredibly useful video even after a year it's been uploaded. Thank you for keeping the video uploaded.
Why do you disconnect the negative cable from the battery?
Disconnecting the battery is a recommended safety measure when working on the ignition system of a vehicle. It reduces the risk of electrical shock. Great question.
Can anyone tell me what an average price might be if I bring mine to a mechanic? I also have a 2007 Camry. Tia!
In NORCAL, you would pay between $150 and $200. (~$40-$60 for parts). This estimate does not account for taxes, diagnostics, and other fees.
@@protipsplus Thank you for the reply! I’m in Boston, debating if I should ask a friend or take it in 🙃
@RobinLee0074 This is a very basic repair. DIY, and use the remaining $100 on a well-earned massage and a double scoop of chocolate ice cream. You got this. 😉
@@protipsplus ☺️thank you 🫶🏻
Always use iridium never use platinum
You'll be happy with the iridiums.
@@protipsplus I've used platinum they were never good nor lasted longer than my iridums from the. Dealer
I see u deleted your previous comment lol
I don't have a need to be correct, as this is only a hobby for me. Spark plug life can vary significantly depending on the application. I recommend them for most newer vehicles.
