I have been shooting winks and Buddy shoots since I was 12 and I close my left eye to shoot and we got birds coming out of the traphouse at 90mph you gotta lead them about 10 feet or so and we hit them 30 grains of Longshot under an ounce and a quarter of #6 in a Winchester aa hull
It does not work on everyone. Some people need a patch on their glasses. Use painters tape. Some people only have one eye, so it's tough for them to keep both eyes open.
Hey Dean I have a high viz. sight on my Remington 870 and I installed it right behind the muzzle bead, it uses magnets and it fits perfectly over the rib, does that accomplish the same thing? I am a two eyed shooter but I installed it because I thought it would help me break more targets. I just purchased a new CZ redhead premier target O/U 12 gauge shotgun and that has the standard muzzle and mid bead. I only took it out once didn’t shoot very well but I guess there is a learning curve going between a pump shotgun and an O/U is that true?
I would suggest that you pattern both guns. Their is a chance that they have different points of impact. The other main cause for missing with a new gun is your style of shooting. For example if you shoot swing through then the change of weight can cause you to shoot in front with the lighter gun. Also try moving the front sight from the 870 to the O/U if it fits. Yes there is a learning curve with a new gun.

I agree nothing works for everyone.
