Excellent gains of some 10% HP and a 'proper' exhaust note, finally...Fantastic!!
Couldn't agree more!
Great one! Finally a R7. Yosh makes a special airbox that gives it more HP too. Check out their new colorful R7.
Brace yourselves, here come the inevitable r6 comments / comparisons
I know right the r6 was made for the race track and the r7 is made for the street and mountains. They where made for 2 different types of needs and riders.
Man 😂😂
@@insertanime9622well it’s more about, let’s built a new engine that meets the current regulations and then try to sell the bike as good as possible
@@oriolb3chYou can't be more wrong.
R7 doesn't have any new engine, it's the Mt 07 engine that's adapted for a sports bike.
It's for street riding, not for a track
@@Chambers36TheEnter you're comparing different engine sizes with different euro-restrictions probably.
Even for comparing same models between different years, things have change:
For example my Street Triple 2008 675cc makes 115hp (redline 13.5K rpm) on dyno which is nearly the same as the newer 765cc (redline 12k rpm) triples that have +100cc and newer technology and we all could expect to perform way better, but actually power ratio is worse because I need to be compliant with all the regulations.
I'm not saying that newer engines can't produce more hp, I'm saying that it's way more difficult now (time consuming and money) for manufacturers to squeeze more power and still be compliant, therefore on many occasions they opt for releasing a "new" bike that replaces and older model with less cylinders. Such as the R7 with old R6 or new Honda Hornet (2 cyl) vs old Hornets (4 cyl)
So many people talking shit about this bike and don't even have a bike.
Love the content brother keep up the good work and have a happy holiday season
It sounds pretty damn good with the akro exhaust and no baffle. I mean my 1990 fz600 made 70 hp back on the day. So a twin making that is not bad.
Always nice and accurate Chris.
Thank you !
Pretty impressive, wish your customer would have got the air filter too so you would have the perfect tune for me when I send you my ecu
Keep up the great work
Keep those subscribers rolling in 💪💪
Thanks! Will do!
Thanks Moore. According to yoshimura the airbox is the most restrictive.
That chain be flappin'! 😄
Appear to tight to me?
That’s what I was gonna say too.
I saw the flappin
great video! more R7 videos please!!
Let’s not forget most new Harley’s are like 90hp at the tyre and they are like 1800+cc
And most 600cc bikes can gap them in a race stock for stock 😂
lovely bike great tune enjoy - thanks for the show :)
I just put my exhaust on mine already shoots flames but hopefully can get a tune pretty soon 🤞
I wish you could find a B King stock and go from there. I love mine especially after you folks worked your magic. Dollar for dollar they're hard to beat.
I can't believe how low powered it is. Sheesh man
nice job on the tune there....looks good.
I love it i love it i love it! Thanks man.
Love the content! Curious what mine makes have full exhaust Vance&Hines plus air filter, air box lid, velocity stacks, reflash
Honestly Chris, the check engine light went out on my 2022 mt07 after 3 ride cycles. Just had 2wdw flash the ecm.
R7 Drama Always Fun
Bikes sound so much better with a different exhaust lol. Nice gains as well.
Well Done!, Greetings From Philippines
Unlike the R6 and R7 the check light will go off after a few rides but if you do get the adapter then it’s a 6 pin not a 4 pin.
That’s pretty good gains for that bike.. That will be fast in the mtn’s 💯
people don't buy these too do highway pulls. these are more along the lines of 1 wheel bike life.. 🏍 🤘🏽
I wanted an r6 badly before i started getting into biker community but now since their not makin none no more and hard to find i was gonna get an r7 just to play around on and get get use to riding then get my actual dream bike . Iknow some think its okay or good and some say fuck no but just here to hear you guys advice lmk!
I want one , people always gonna be hating. The idea of more usable power from low end ,for everyday riding sounds like a plus to me
I ride a 650 and am debating between a 600 or R7 next. I get waxed by 600s currently, and they also sound so much better than the parallel twin (regardless of exhaust). I’m curious how much a 10% HP increase actually means for top speed and acceleration?
@@mattgledhill4539 You will regret getting a r7. It's in the same league as the 650, a few extra horsepower, maybe 7hp or 8hp, a more aggressive riding position and a somewhat decent suspension. If you want the race bike experience, it's either 600cc, 750cc ou 1000cc. These parallel twins serve their purpose, but the racing excitement is not there. Cheers.
Awesome tune 😎👍🏼😎
Sounds amazing brother, Maybe I could get my 2019 ZX6R to you for a flash, I would love to come down for a dyno tune, I'm not to far , about a mile or so from Rockingham Speedway and Dragstrip in NC so about 3 hours, hopefully I can get with you this spring, Love your channel and your content man, keep it coming.
2Wheels1Love
I’ll take any motorcycle!! Love them all!! Well, not all. Except the E- motorcycles. No way. Ever.
is the adapter for the scanner the 6 PIN?
What are the chances of getting a Ducati V4S street fighter on the dyno?
Great channel, love to watch your magic
Nice gains...Have not seen you do one on the R7's competitor the RS660, can you do it?
*00:20* “All original, all factory.. ZERO modifications”
Nice PUIG windscreen bro 😜😝 *#SorryLoL*
I’m about to get a yoshimura on my Kawasaki ninja 650. If I wanted to tune it would I have to bring it to a tuner before putting it on so they know the stats on the stock? Or do I put it on the bring it to a tuner
Then*
wish I was closer to you would like to see mine on the dyno two brothers full exhaust air filter different sprockets and chain and you have already flashed mine feel like since you've had one there now you may be able to get a little more out of it now but I'm still overall happy and by no means did I buy this bike thinking it was going to be crazy fast - its my first bike
This is not too much gain for the price, only the sound worth it. In hungary (EU) the bike price is 3,5 million huf and the exaust is 700.000 huf this is 20% for the bike price.
how is the air box on the r7? on mt07 its really restricted and have read that a kn filter and exhaust will give up to 10hp from stock
Can’t wait for this new r9 to drop I’ll be back on 2 wheels again 💪 😈
That chain seemed a little loose
Chris,
About time you did this video. I'm not sure if you remember the issue on mine with the check engine light still being on when the o2 was unplugged and turning off when plugged back in, even tho it was turned off in the tune.
Did that get sorted out with the flash, or is it still needed to be kept plugged in. You didn't touch on if that was an issue still.
I have a dinosaur R7 that is around 121 hp. Thought this newer tech would be better 😮
Ya that hp is weak as hell
@@taters9273 Absolutely! When my stage 3 Iron 883 makes more hp compared to a bike called an R7, that’s embarrassing. The styling is too aggressive also, it doesn’t have the power to back it up.
It’s the damn Euro 4&5 emissions…BMW built that parallel twin a long time ago(stil does) and it was weak/slow/lame and I could never figure out why they did it. Well they knew the eco/carbon tax was coming around the corner and wanted to get a jump on it. Like muscle cars peaking at the end of the 1960’s motorcycles are going to get lamer and lamer my fiends. My suggesting is get your dream superbike and hold on to it forever…then just wait for the Mad Max Thunder Dome end of times.
@@Chambers36TheEnter yea I know. Didn’t realize that the R7 was a twin. But I definitely don’t agree with your technology statement vs. physics. Not being able to beat physics. Years ago physics said cars couldn’t achieve over 250 miles an hour. Technology made that happen. Technology gets better as time goes on, physics stay the same.
@@SH-ni8sh2022 R7 won it's championship 1st year out! Technology is good!
Quick question? If I buy a R7 with the adrenaline pack which includes the full akropovic exhaust system well it come tuned from factory. Because here where I live on an island we don’t have dynos
How is the dyno with the baffle in and stock tune tho?
Because that's what's leagal in most Europe.
You can forget it alone with the baffle out.
So, it hit the exact numbers from a ninja 400rr with graves slip on and Moore tune….being old, I need a more upright seating position that the r7 gives but damn, it’s so wimpy!! I think I’m pushing Pennie’s for a 2023 mt-10sp…. And when I do, I’ll also try to find me an r1 motor as it has the beefed up internals. But with Moore….the mt-10sp is like an R1M on the cheap!!
Hi guys I’m new to the bikes so please teach me but Is that with the standard intake as well? I heard if you change the air intake, it won’t be ass restricted and you can gain some pretty good power for just that little mod
Why no air fuel ratio and no Torque curve stock ????
FortNine just did a pretty cool video about the R7
Was the exhaust the ece approved or the non homologated version akrapovic, in California we can only get ece but if it doesn’t sound much different or weigh significantly less then what’s the point?
Great video
excellent bike
Do you have a tune for the new KLX300SM (exhaust, dna filter and kdx intake mod) right now I have a EJK on it but it’s just a fuel controller but I can’t read afr on it or change anything except the fuel
At least it’s better than an R3. Sad they’re getting rid of the R6 in the US. Would’ve been cool if it were an in-line triple like the Daytona 675
I've heard rumors of a R9 would be sick
@@dukenukem7183 I was hoping they would do that. I loved my fz09
Do you have the link to this exhaust?? It sounds magnificent 😊
What if you disconnect the battery before removing the ECU? Still get a code? Or do you get a different code?
Nice video dose the r7 have ram air intake duct ?
part nummber of this exhaust ? and do you put a tune or it oem tune
I love my R7 i just hope that bike was at least partially warm before you went to rippin it lol. Orbat least i would hope my personal bike was warm before full throttle rips.
Could we use the powerful Exhaust & quieted at the same time ?
Would been more Hp if they use a full Grave exhaust which usually add 5-10 hp more and a bigger intake. Grave exhaust the only exhaust out there that only make horse power
Is this the tune you used for my ECU I sent mine in on 12/19?
why didn't they put in a sprint air filter?
Oh snap awesome
Guys is universal term. They'll be alright
Here we go with more cult of Yamaha uploads..
Why no dna air filter?
I guarantee 99% of the people could use this bike to its full potential but talking about needing a r6. If you talking straight line so skill riding y’all are very correct that’s not this bike’s market
Is it possible to flash the ecu to give you better gas mileage?
I wanna know the answer to this one too because i want better sound and gas mileage.
Absolutly yes!! more lean air fuel ratio... thats all
Stock, you could hear the flat spots so clearly
Get the turbo kit for it double the power
These parallel twins sound like Kubota lawn tractors
where is dyno located?
Would you ever dyno a ducati scrambler if it came in?
Yes sir
@Moore Mafia I suppose I'll be making a trip down some time in the summer then 🌞
🔥🔥🔥
Vary nice bike
Looks like SV650 power.
ECU WILL BE ON THE WAY SOON
Wait so the r7 is more weak than the r6?
cool mt07!
CW got 66.3 hp at 8610 rpm on their dyno. Bone stock.
Sounds like and makes power just like a harley..
alright guys=alright people that like bikes, men and women. you should know this. i will look at 3 girls at work and say " bye guy" NO PROBLEM because you they know
I thought the r7 would be sick ,it’s pretty nice looking but disappointed in the performance compared to the r6 ,it should of gone up in performance not down, nice bike tho ,the exhaust change and tune is a must ,otherwise you may as well get a Grom 😎
A Grom makes 8 hp on my dyno.
@@TeamMooreMafia o boy you done gone and said it ,bro I seen some of them groom’s absolutely flying with 600 engine swaps ,I know there is a modified road legal gromster out there with the goods to rectify that 8 ,to over the 100 ,now I just need the gromsters to get up to more mafia n get on that Dino and show mr Moore a grom faster than the r7 ,come on boys and girls show him the money ,I do like the look of r7 but again the performance seems to have dropped from the r6
@@leeberry3155 thanks for the comedy relief!
Restrictions on a 2 cylinder 750cc ? 🤷
64bhp stock for the r7 is just 😢😢😢
Not impressed for an R version sport bike. But it looks fast.
I like the idea of a torquey twin sport bike, but this thing is just plain weak. I wonder if Yamaha has any plans for an R9 or something like that in the future.
I think it's coming for 23
They should have never got rid of the R6
i wonder whats the top speed is
I get mine to 140mph. Only mod i have is termignoni exhaust.
It’s basically a Ninja 650 which is sad. They’ve ruined the R series
@@mattgledhill4539ninja 650 could never 😂 👎
@@Dogsarebetter-07 I owned both. The difference is 10-15 kmh (6-10mph). I now own a ‘17 R6 and can confidently say there both MID
Why do people keeping saying this will replace the R6?. This is the same engine(CP2) as the MT07, Tracer 700 and Tenere 700. The R9 will replace the R6. The R9 will be faster with a broader power band and one less cylinder. It's part of Yamaha moving everything to their very successful "CP" line of engines.
that CHain looks like it counld jump off at any second.....
Lets go
The ZX6R 636 blows that R7 out the water by a far. I like how the R7 looks though. It's a good looking bike. But as far as power the Ninja ZX6R has the R7 beat.
Apples to oranges. The r7 is basically a mt07 with fairings. Great mountain road carver, but not a race bike like the 636 or the gsxr600
The R6 and R7 are the best looking bikes on the market. It’s a shame the R7 is neutered and even with tuning can’t touch an R6. Is the move to wait for the R9 or buy a ZX6R?
@@mattgledhill4539 The new 2024 zx6r looks pretty good. Comes stock with a quickshifter. I had a 2021 and loved it
How long does the dyno tube process normally take?
So, are you getting your best power with it around 13-1 A/f? And you get that pretty much right through. I ran my old BSA twin on a dyno without taking main jets with me, and it started pulls at around 18-1 and by 7,800 it was down to 14.8-1 or so. I changed jets after and that which seemed to help the midrange even on the needle. That 1970 motor was enlarged from 654cc to 883cc and even being lean made 85hp. I also wonder if it had tyre or clutch slipping a little. The R7 sounds really good with that pipe, this is what an old pushrod motor sounds like;
ua-cam.com/video/x2SFZ7TEOMU/v-deo.html
This is one of my video's of a couple of us just doing some rev's, but the sound of the Akropovic on the R7 on my right is insanely deep and def turns heads when you hear it.
Is there anything out there similar in sound for an 2023 Suzuki GSX-R 750? Link: ua-cam.com/video/rRaZdKJuthk/v-deo.html
Mt 07 basically
Gettin rid of the restrictions requires throwing away the inline twin engine... 😜
I love the look. But.....I ride a 2019 MT07 and it's.....ok. it's an entertaining cheaply built nose diving wheeling machine. Outside of that it's very uninspiring to me. Putting this same bike in a sportier sport bike package doesn't seem like it's going to make it any more fun. I am a fan of the higher RPM rush. Not so much the low end grunt. I've ridden cruisers and now this MT07. The power down low is nice, but they get real boring real fast once I'm off city traffic roads. I'm also older and not super fond of leaning over a tank and having a sore back and shoulders and wrists after long rides so cruisers and nakeds have been my go-to. But, I love the top and rush of a nice sport bike. I'm now looking to sell my MT07 so I can pick me up a last gen Suzuki GSX s750. I test road one of those bikes and not only are they comfortable, but they have the awesome fun top end rush that a sport bike would have. I wish Yamaha would bring back the FZ6 and FZ1. I think those bikes were way ahead of their time and they would definitely get my money now.
