My set of these are currently in transit from China. They are the last component of my new set up. Really looking forward to testing it all out, playing around with the different elastomers and springs. It is great that they come with options. Even better value for money.
Thanks God I made a good decision purchasing these pedals set from Aliexpress, I got a $10 discount and I'm just waiting for them to arrive at Panama to give a try. Your previous review made me decide to buy them. Thanks!
Good update mate & I too was looking out for Sim Kool Cat. Totally agree re the white elastomers - ridiculously soft. I put them on just to see what they felt like and one of them slipped over the washer and the others looked ready to burst ! After trying literally a dozen or more combinations I have settled on 2 x black elastomers and the yellow spring on top of the original spring. To me it is right amount of rubber feeling together with good amount of progressive feel. Tried other springs and the blue spring is also great. Red is hard and Green is super hard. Good to have such choice though.
I have a set of SimJack Pro that I got about a year ago - seems like the biggest upgrade in these are the bearing - do you know if that's a part we can buy and upgrade ourselves? I mean it obviously is, we'd just need to find the part and it's possible/probable no one sells just that bearing (or that there are other changes to facilitate the bearing - couldn't tell from the video, can you comment on that?) Thanks as always!
I got mine last week. They are great, the only thing I don't like is that they can basically only adjust forward, I wish I could adjust the backwards some to get a different angle on the pedal plate. It works perfectly fine with the pedalplate being level, but I would prefer it at a slight angle.
You can do that by simply reversing the base of the pedals by unscrewing the base section, turn them around and put the screws back, so then your pedal can tilt backwards.
@@marcushillerstrom25 I got mine about 4 weeks ago and initially thought to do that but I ended up tilting my pedal plate and the original angle was perfect but is always an option too. cheers.
@@Mark_Blanes wow, I've adjusted my pedal tray of my rig to tilt everything backwards when swapping my V3 for these. I've never had the thought of flipping them 😂 Sadly, the pedal face gets too high, when tilting them too far backwards, so in the end I would've had to adjust my pedal try anyway. But it's quite genius to just flip them!
OK, has anyone else tried these pedals with a Heusinkveld control box? I'm curious because it would probably make them compatible with the Drivehub device for use on PS5 etc. Thanks for any info👍
What software are you guys using? I can't get them to detect in FreeJoy the Simsonn Software works and calibrates but these are making my Fanatec wheel/base disconnect, making ACC freeze everything I go to controls and adjust things anywhere from 30 seconds to minutes. Hope I can sort it out over the weekend.
The calibration software is only required to tune the load cell sensors, and save the settings to the hardware controller. It's not needed beyond that. The pedals require no software drivers, other than Window's. So it's not a software conflict. It could be grounding issue, Fanatec DD wheelbases are known for EMI issues. Try and make use of the ground cable on the Simsonn pedals controller board. Also try plugging into a different USB socket.
I know Simjack got a few nice upgrades making them more refined lately. Would you recommend these or the simjack pro pedals? I recently purchased the simjack ones and just wondering if I should have gone with these. Thank you!
I also have an older SimJack pedal set like you do. I don't know what tweaks they've done to since then. But fundamentally, they (SimJack/Simosonn) are kind of similar when you take stock of the overall design and performance. I would say these updated Simsonn's are a better finished product than my current SimJack pedals.
@SimRacingCorner Mine are in UK customs being assessed for import duties and local taxes. Did you have to pay anything? Mine are via free shipping and I have no idea how this all works.
@@SimRacingCorner Yes I bought them via AliExpress Simsonn Official store. I am just curious as it says "Customs charges raised" now on the tracking site.
@@Niodium Got mine around 7 days later after paying £38 Import tax and £12 handling fee from Royalmail... Must say the pedals are worth it after a bit of tweaking... I would recommend them, just be aware to add a few £ if you get them via free shipping
Hey, I just got my set of these pedals and I’ve been having some interference troubles. I have a fanatec csl dd wheel base hooked up to the rig with these pedals and whenever I move the wheel there’s spikes of activity going to the pedals. I’ve tried attaching the ground wire to the rig and to the throttle pedal but it doesn’t seem to help deal with these spikes. Any help would be appreciated!
I know Fanatec wheelbases can encounter EMI issues with other hardware. But I don't have an answer for you for that. I'm not sure if I ran my older set of SIMSONN pedals with my CSL DD. When I dive into my full testing for these pedals, I'll hook up my CSL DD and see if I encounter this issue, and I'll make sure to cover this in the review, either way.
apologies for the potentially stupid question, but these will not work with a dd+ base for us PS5 only folks, right? these look like an nice upgrade from my csl lc pedals (which i've modded and now like enough tbh)
Can someone measure the mounting caps on the bodys please, im making plate for those. Is 12cm side bolt difference good (middle of the slots about?) and what is bolt difference on side to side? Is there any drawings available? thanks.
nice nice but unfortunately not enough of an upgrade for me, to buy theese , insted of staying with my SJP´s .... and to be honest puttting 4 springs (get these on ali. for 1-3€ per piece) and 2 sets of unusable rubbers is more small extra than an upgrade. but the ballbearing and counternuts are nice.
Hello, my pedals are in flash mode enabled and I can't get out of it, it's not possible to calibrate like this and the seller isn't helping me... can you give me a solution to get back to normal? thanks.
I don't know what the pedal plate looks like on that rig, so I can't answer that exactly. The mounting slots on the pedals are generous. That should make things easier. Otherwise, you'll need to get the drill out and make new holes in the pedal deck. But there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to get them to work for you.
I know it's kinda whatever, but there is a lot to be said for 'what's in a name?' The simsonn branding in the pedals looks junk, and the name isn't good either imo. Same with sim jack, but their branding and etching looks really nice, so I still prefer the sim jacks. Even simagic is eh. All these Chinese names sound garbage except for Moza which nailed it for having a racing heritage name to it.
So what's your thought on Samsung, I feel they have moved there name just far enough away from Simsonn to not rub me up the wrong way, But I have a Samsonite suit case in the loft which I feel is garbage and a step too far.

Almost identical to my Simubox pedals 😊 I bought the skateboard mod for my brake pedal.

There's are DIY guides for swapping out the bushing for bearings. Just google 'Simjack bearing mod', and you'll find them.
