Great story. I remember that the only helicopter had to remain available as it was the Oka crisis at this time. The French balado captive has recently covered this case. I live near Bonnaventure hotel and visited it with my children this summer. I told them the story while we were in the pool.
Great story. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm a bit of an enthusiast of the UFO phenomenon, so I always enjoy learning new things about it. The Canadian angle makes it interesting as well. 🙂
Thanks for watching - this story was interesting to me and it's not as well known as some of the other prominent Canadian sightings. Cheers mate, have a great weekend!
About 20 years ago, give or take a few, I saw a UFO just like this that I haven't told many people about because, well, why? But I will take the time to put it here, because it was also in Canada but on the west coast. I was driving west on Highway #1 about an hour away from Vancouver, BC. I'm not sure what time of day it was, but it was dark outside, and a clear night. I was sitting in the passenger seat, and traffic was light with a few cars spread out ahead and behind us. Suddenly, a light appeared in the sky ahead of us. About an eighth of a mile down the road and several hundred feet up in the sky, it started as a small, orange-ish, round but fuzzy light. It very rapidly grew in size until it looked to be around 100 feet in diameter. It lit the entire area up as if it was daytime. The highway, the trees, the buildings around the area-everything was as bright as the middle of the day. This lasted for maybe three seconds or so, and then the light reversed what it did. It went small until it disappeared. At first, I thought I was having a stroke or maybe dying from a lack of blood to my brain, but I looked at my cousin, who was driving, and before I made a sound, he said, "What the fuck was THAT?!" Then I started thinking, "Oh no! He is having a stroke too!" That worry was quickly abated, however, once I looked back outside to the highway and realized that the other vehicles on the highway were acting strangely, like they had seen something in the sky and didn't know what to do. The vehicles ahead of us all had brake lights on and were clearly moving a bit left and right as if they were looking up at the light and then back to the road ahead. It was clear to us that everyone had also seen it. And that was it. That's all that ever happened, and I never heard about this event from anyone else, ever. Just driving down the highway at night, a bright light slowly appears, lights the entire area up like day, and then fades back into the size it was when it showed up and then it just disappears.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate when people take the time to comment - sounds like a wild experience and many others have reported having similar things happen to them. I have a feeling some of these things are unmanned drones (or something similar) rather than craft with biological beings piloting them. Fascinating subject, and it seems like there is a gradual disclosure happening globally. Cheers mate, have a great weekend!
@@strangenorth Speaking of drones, I saw one when sleeping outside near a military site in Alberta, back in 2009. I was hitchhiking across the country with a friend, and we hit some cold weather. We stopped near the fence of a military site, because it looked like a spot we could sleep at. We laid a tarp on the snow with our bags on either end so it wouldn't fly off, and curled into our sleeping bags. When sleeping outside, I like being on my back and watching the sky a bit before closing my eyes. As I was doing that, I saw a triangular object silently gliding above our heads. My first reaction was "OMG, is that a UFO?!" but then I figured we were next to a military site, so they probably sent a drone to look at what we were doing. My friend didn't see it (he was trying to sleep). Afterwards, I just closed my eyes and curled as deep in my sleeping back as I could to survive the cold. I was very impressed by how silent that drone was, and by how smoothly it just glided over.
@@wandererstraining was the base you're mentioning - the CLAWR? I was working up north in 2009 on that base. I never saw a triangle but there was a lot of unexplained things going on in that area. I myself not military but was working as a contractor at the time.
@@TreCayUltimateLife Interesting! It wasn't the CLAWR. I was more South, closer to Calgary. Not sure of the exact location anymore, because I was offline back then and just had to stop somewhere for the night (also my paper map didn't go down to that level of detail, and cold and "drone" aside, it wasn't a remarkable location). I remember however that this "drone" was perfectly silent, it glided over without a sound and went away very quickly, too. What did you see around the CLAWR? Or heard about?
That's super interesting! I'm thinking this must be some kind of a weird atmospheric phenomenon, but I don't know what. When they turned off the lights from the crane but the UFO stayed there, maybe it's just because there were lights being reflected that were not on the crane? It happened downtown after all, where there are a lot of other sources of light, at a time of the year when it's starting to get colder and where ice crystals could form at certain heights but not others.
Thanks for watching, this case interests me and it's unusual among prominent Canadian UFO sightings in that it occurred over the downtown of a major city. Definitely hard to say what happened, and the pictures taken were pretty fuzzy and inconclusive. Multiple witnesses felt it was definitely a craft but who knows. Interesting case nonetheless! Cheers mate
Another great video. Really enjoy your channel and I appreciate the work you’ve put into your craft.
I appreciate it, thanks for watching - glad you're enjoying the channel! Cheers

Thanks for watching - it's a cool story and even Bonnaventure Place itself is a cool building. Cheers mate
Fascinating! Appreciate the research you do!

What did you see around the CLAWR? Or heard about?
I wish i had those coins...
I can hook you up with the complete set for 12 easy payments of $950
The first one, Shag Harbor, is one of very few Royal Canadian Mint coins that has actually gone up in value. They are like $500+ now.
Pretty cool. I hadn’t heard about this one either. Of course Canada made a square coin 😂 gotta get me one now lol
Just don't try using that coin in a vending machine lol
