    I love the dartmoor legends, always a pleasure when they come on ads a little spice to the mundane walk/set up/make a hot drink/dinner/sleep routine of every other camping channel in yt!

    I've always enjoyed the music in your videos, Trev. But there's somethig refreshing about allowing the wind and rain to speak in this one. Maybe it works best with these solo adventures.
    Thanks for putting this one together and for sharing. All the best.

    Looked cold Trev, a world away from those still, mild summer nights. I also was amazed at the warming effect I felt when I switched to my xtherm. I haven’t been out for a winter camp yet. Not confident in the Lanshan 2 pro for the winter so I will go back to my Banshee for winter.

    In 500 years in cold and stormy nights or in nights with rain and thunder you may see a pale figure tirelessly roaming dartmoor! Wandering from tor to tor setting up a tent for a while, making a brew and then packing his rucksack and get on the way again!

      @@SummitOrNothing partly due to your reviews I own a Cloud Up 2 with snow skirts, I've been wild camping now for 7 months in Scotland's Highlands, a brilliant tent for the money, I use it in all conditions wind rain and snow, it's done me proud, in the Cairngorms at present where it's been cold at times so I just cover the inner netting with light weight plastic sheet (half a dust sheet from Poundland :) leaving the front a rear netting free for ventilation works great and I've kept warm well below zero camping on a few feet of snow. Thanks so much for your video's, love your honest reviews and down to earth style, filming even when things don't go quite right it shows part of the fun is in the learning and that wild camping is available to all no matter your budget. Cheers 😁

    Great trip, but why you not wearing rain coat on way back ? You must got soaked.

      @SummitOrNothing  2 роки тому

      The same reason that I wasn't wearing the down jacket on the way up, it was packed. Must admit, it was was bit misty, but as soon as I started to pack up the tent, the heavens opened. Was a mad dash to get it packed away and yea, I was soaked to my underwear 🤦‍♂️

    For the ruling price of the jacket it better provide ducking warmth same with the tent.

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  2 роки тому

      The jacket is a great insulative layer - but not a bad price, about a third of the price of Rab and North Face jackets. The tent was fairly toasty - but then it could have been my sleeping system.

      No, but the naturehike spare I had taken did, had a small tear in it, looked like I been mutilating chickens in the morning.

      @@SummitOrNothing yea same here. I used it up at steeperton last weekend and the feathers were clumped in the corner where condensation had formed. I have been told down stuff can leak for a bit and then it stops. Fingers crossed !
