Few years ago I bought 2 phantoms pro 100p from the same on line shop but 2 months apart. I went to my local tennis shop to have them customized to be identical but they told me it didn't need because weight was within 1g, balance and SW identical. Serial numbers were not close either. Amazing quality.
My pro 100P‘s had to be aligned…weight and swingweight were different. But overall, Prince are phenomenal in feel and control! At the moment I am testing TOALSON S-MACH 97. I am very impressed!! The 295 version fits my game totally. They feel like a dampened prince, but not to much, great stability and more easy power… I can recommend a test for players, who are searching for an easy to play racket..!!
@TheBlessedLion after 2 years of play I with these decided to go back to my Yonex vcore SV 98s. Reason was the lack of power from The phantom made pridyced short balls in difficult position where i ended up loosing the point. But I vastly prefer the feel of the phantoms over the stiffer vcores...
This in large part due to the baseline QA/QC offered by Prince's OEM, YMA Univers, who also make Diadem and Solinco's racquets -- all three of who's QA/QC seem to be a notch higher than anything being put out by Bab, Dunlop, Head, Tec or Wilson. Only Yonex and Angell are higher, and Yonex not by much, as they've suffered in the last 5-10 years under pressure to increase volume and cut costs, and Japanese methods can only handle so much of that. Angell, well, their base hairpins are probably similar to industry standard QA/QC, but they hand-finish in-house, to manually bring the frames into spec. IMHO, I think the best bang for the buck is simply negotiating for a higher-level finished good straight away -- ie. the Prince/Diadem/Solinco approach, who are all collectively leading the pack right now.
Not a word mentioned in this review on the Textreme Zylon material added on this new line of Phantom racquets. TeXtreme Zylon is placed in the shaft and upper hoop.
Prince needs to lead a grassroots marketing campaign. go after popular tennis youtubers that are going pro and make rackets that meet their needs. if we all see Karue and Felix playing with their rackets and doing well, we will be curious. They also completely squandered their chance to sign Iga who won her first french open with a prince racket. They have really missed every opportunity.
Pros plays with brands that gives him more money. If prince doesn't work on young players like Tecnifibre is doing, you'll never see a great prince player
That's what they were doing and it wasn't working. Now, they have given Tennis Warehouse exclusive rights in the USA (coincidentally Prince racquets started getting great reviews starting with the Textreme Tour 100 310). Rather than throwing money at endorsements, they've kept their racquets affordable.
Prince was ONCE a great brand but they are barely keeping afloat now so you are completely correct. Thing is Karue is with Yonex and Felix is Dunlop all over so it would have to be some other serious minded youtube-player OR an upcoming junior
The previous generation of the 100X felt absolutely amazing. But switched to the Blade 100 v8 after hearing you both rage about it and I haven’t looked back since. What a stick.
I played with the green and black phantom 100 (not the x) and while it is a novel racquet with a high launch angle and great soft feel. It just fell apart on slices or hard ground strokes.
Played the Tour 95 (2015) and the Synergy 98. Liked the Tour much more, but the point is, like Henrik says, the quality of the materials, the paint and "aura" is still there. Apart from the funky/interesting molds, their more down-to-earth series like the Beast and Textreme Tours could do much better. There's absolutely zero marketing in the Westworld. I don't see how hard could it be for Prince or Tennis Warehouse to put into circulation 5-10 frames to youtubers like you and go from one youtuber to another in a loop for a few months, so content could be created for Prince.
Prince doesn’t even respond to inquiry emails or anything. For a year or so they were heavily involved in the Prince thread on tennis warehouse boards and one day disappeared and never came back.

Curious if Henrik's reviews should be taken with a grain of salt considering how big a guy he is. I'm thinking particularly of power or lack of power. He doesn't look like he needs a lot of help.
That's why Prince or TW - distributor should put a few of them in circulation to other content creators to get more exposure and feedback from different player styles and levels. Put the 100x in my hands for 2-3 weeks max and you'll have a review about it. Then I could return it to TW headquarters.

I have used the V9 Blade 100 during the winter but just recently started using a beefed up V9 Blade 104. I have added a total of 30 grams to it (20 grams in the handle) and 10 grams at the sides 3 and 9. It helps me a lot out in the corners with a bigger sweetspot and some extra power in the serves.
@@hankthetanksweden Hi Henrik, it would be very interesting a comparison between the new 100X 290 gr, and the Textreme Tour ATS 290gr. If the newer 100X is more stiff and powerful than the predecessor, could not be maybe more similar to the Tour ATS 290gr? Thanks
What a shame. I was looking forward to Prince beefing up the Phantoms and making them their main line of players frames. Thin beams just don't cut it when you need stability at an advanced level.
How broke is prince that they can't even sponsor a handful of players? Love their lineup and my next racquet may very well be the outgoing 107 but it's sad to see how far they've fallen
Last I heard prince is owed by tennis warehouse and if so, then maybe TW just wants this to be a value racquet.
