    I've always been curious about the Radical line.. if I would say Gravity is a control/power racquet.. Boom is spin.. Speed is control/power.. Extreme is spin.. where do you say Radical is?

    Surprised to see a new radical already! I was clearly looking forward to both the Gravity 98 Tour and the new Ezone, the latter will be a bigger deal considering Yonex make big upgrades when they do a proper release. Keeping fingers crossed they get rid of VDM!

    • @markhibbitt1269
      @markhibbitt1269 3 місяці тому

      @@brodytaylor2020 yes I used the first version and didn't like it, I found it vague so sold it on. Picked up a shoulder injury so went with the Clash 98 V2 as I saw it on at a sale price so thought I would give it another try. Used it for 3 sets yesterday and again thought it was not too bad at all and I enjoyed it and no shoulder pain. I miss the power of my Ezone but apart from that the Clash does everything else really well in my opinion although it doesn't seem to get good reviews so I must be in the minority!!

      @@markhibbitt1269 did you go from Ezone to Clash? You downgraded. Ezone is an amazing racket that is powerful, consistent and stable. I started with clash as a beginner, 4 years ago. Perfect racket for beginners.

      @@nicolasX2602 Nope I havent downgraded, I still use my Ezone, but as you will see from my comments I picked up a shoulder injury so using the Clash from time to time just to keep on playing on a regular basis so managing the injury. I have used the Ezone 98 3 or 4 times every week for the last two years so it is my racket of choice and I would highly recommend it to anyone that asks. Just dont think the Clash V2 is as bad as everyone seems to make out!!

    Great video and I look forward to seeing these racquets when they come out! Have you ever watched Intuitive Tennis on UA-cam? He says that if you have tennis elbow you should use a stiffer more responsive racquet. Any thoughts on this? I’m dealing with tennis elbow right now so I’m doing a lot of research on it.

    • @kkarx
      @kkarx 3 місяці тому

      It is bs. His reasoning is flawed. There is a general consensus that stiff rackets are harsher on your arm. A soft frame bends and absorbs the energy of the ball like that. A stiffer frame doesnt bend that much and thus it sends more energy (shock) to your arm. Tennis elbow is caused by a bad technique (hitting the ball late with bend arm, off centre, not using your body to generate power but just your arm). If your technique is perfect then you might use whatever you want and have no issues but if you already have tennis elbow it would be really stupid to use a stiff racket. Every bad technique is punished way more by a stiff frame.

    • @alexsad1000
      @alexsad1000 3 місяці тому

      @@kkarx there’s some truth to Intuitive Tennis’ logic though. If your technique is flawed/bad and causing TE then you’ll have even more pain from using a more flexible racket. As you will have to swing it harder to achieve similar power and depth on your shots compared to a stiffer racket. Bottom line, improve your technique and maybe start with something in mid stiffness range like 64-65 RA?

    • @TheTennisDaddy
      @TheTennisDaddy 3 місяці тому +1

      Speeds are the most comfortable of all the racquets I’ve tried, I’ve had golfers elbow for about 7months this year, got it initially from 2 x 3hr sessions on court with the Extreme Tour which is flexible but also it’s too light and unforgiving on mis hits which I had quite a few after 10yrs off the court…weekly physio etc..and it just lingered, even gave it a couple weeks rest to be pain free but it came back as soon as I’d hit until I went back to Speed Pros which I’d always used previously and never had issues back then…pain disappeared so I’m staying with the Speed…100sq head and 23mm nice flex beam is as good as you’ll get for comfort👌

    • @alexsad1000
      @alexsad1000 3 місяці тому +1

      @@TheTennisDaddy Head Speeds are really nice! I think another super important aspect of preventing TE is to have swing weight around or even above 330. I use two Yonexes: newer 2021 Vcore 95 (RA 64) and older 2010 RDiS 93 (RA 68), both 16x20 and both leaded to SW of 335. Stiffer RDiS 93 never causes TE and not string sensitive at all while more flexible Vcore sometimes does despite having lager sweetspot and it’s a very string sensitive racket.

    • @TheTennisDaddy
      @TheTennisDaddy 3 місяці тому +1

      @ agreed, that plough through weight goes a long way providing you have the strength and technique to swing it properly…I found my Prestige Tour at 350g (unsure of SW) was friendly on my arm compared to my Extreme Tours purely from that ball collision being so effortless…unfortunately it’s just a little more demanding in matches than the Speeds but hitting with it is bliss
