  • My first pair of NOS (new old stock) (never worn) vintage shoes. My other vintage were pre worn.
These brown cordovan 1983 Florsheim Imperials came with the box (WOW). This 93606 style is the KING of the PTB
In this video I do a brief overview of the PTB style with examples from Alden, Allen Edmonds, Carmina, Trickers, Carlos Santos and Crockett and Jones before sharing this very special new pair.

I adore PTBs too, it's amazing what amazing quality shoes you can find on the used or NOS market if you dig around! Stunning shoes, wear them in good health!

Love that Carlos Santos bison pair.. very cool and unique. I have a love / hate relationship with PTB. While I love they are tanks, are usually incredibly comfortable and the soles last forever (or a good long time anyway), the toe box is not my favorite, but it is kinda fug-beautiful in a way too. Lol . The PTB is kinda the fat cousin of the more dapper and svelte split toe , which I know have a great place in your heart like my own.
    Beautiful shoes as always!!

PTB shoes I am very partial to as I have many pairs of this shoe. The Florsheims are certainly my true favorite I have these Shell Cordovans like the ones you got comfortable to wear and came with the original soles and heels

I have the calf pebble grain in black. Also a nice shoe. Thanks for your review.

Looks like the glue got absorbed into the heel pad leather after all those years. They look great IMO.

Beautiul collection! Don't like the relatively low sole stitching density this pair has though. It varies greatly among vintage Florsheimes

I've got like 8 pairs of 93602/93603 and others ( can't remember all the numbers). Most have heel pads, all have tongue pads. My NOS 93602 have tongue pads, not heel pads.
If you plan on giving them foot time I would install brass eyelets. Congrats.

    Great 96060 !!
I am just wondering how can I know cordovan or calf skin. Please let me know it.
Because I can not see any cordovan letter.

Cordovan doesn’t crease so if you see creasing at the flex points of the shoe it’s calf. Cordovan has distinctive rolls. Some really cheap corrected grain leathers look similar when new until the plastic coating cracks. Cordovan doesn’t have the same porous structure as leather so it takes special ingredients for care and won’t absorb conditioner the same as calf. Another way you can tell.
