Hi alan you ok pal, thanks for the watch again. I would love a session on chesil iff i lived closer. I might try that rig out myself. You rekon it was conger eel what eat your whiting? I was out thursday on the humber and it was slow going, just a dab and a flounder. All the best from GRIMSBY.
Hi Carl, thanks for watching. Conger most probably , they can go big on the beach , never had a big conger myself. Heading down again this week, bigger tide , fish into the night , same tactics - Doubt I'll catch as much as the water will have cleared down. Going to try the 2 hook rig again, think it would work better with a sliding clip for the 'up over element' rather than a fixed genie clip I'm using !
What a great days fishing for you 👍 some good sized whiting there. I thought there would still be a significant swell after all that wind but it’s settled down nicely by the look of things. Cracking start to the year for you, will probably be blowing its arse off when my turn comes around next 😂 look after yourself 👍🙂
Thanks, was a bit nervous heading down thinking ' will swell be ok' Surprised how flat it was. You know its going to be a good day when you don't know which rod to pick up as all 3 are bouncing. Got to go back , must still be big conger lurking after those whiting. Was actually my 1st ever time on Chesil in a January
4 species on the first session great start buddy!
Thanks guys, long drive but worth it

@@fishingatYes, big eels and still chance of a decent cod over the next couple of months too I think…it’s an addictive place!
