Tried to kill Tony in season 5, had a hand in creating the port to port killer in season 8 who killed many including Mike Franks, and prior to this scene he personally killed several agency officials from different agencies including the original NCIS director he also tried to kill Fornell for being a witness. He may not have killed Ziva but Kort is not worth anyone’s tears.

some time back, i binged through fifteen seasons of NCIS. Came to see every single character as my own family. Cried when one died, rejoiced when revenge or justice was served. still tear up over remembering how Ziva died... then jumping for joy when it turned out she hadn't.. (spoiler alert if you haven't watched it all).

I like the fact that Tony didn't go in full-on "raging bull" - the shots he fired we basically like an act of catharsis - he already knew Kort wasn't getting out of this alive, and everyone else unloading their mags at Kort was already enough for him.
I think it would have been a dark touch if he walked up the body and mag dumped him. Buuuuuuuuuut being NCIS and its a real agency IRL, they wouldn't want to portray anyone doing a revenge/personal killing like that.
Tony wears it so often that we forget that the happy-go-lucky "Very Special Agent" is a mask for facing the world built up by his career and upbringing. Under it is a hard man who will cross any line to protect his team and family. Kort was just the latest to find that out the hard way. Kort also forgot that Tony is not the one who makes many promises. Such as when Tony promised that if Kort ever got a member of Tony's team hurt or killed, he would kill Kort. The reason Tony doesn't make many promises is just like here. He always keeps them to the letter.

After the Season 13 finale, I love every single episode of Seasons 14 and 15 because we meet and get to know more about Alexandra Quinn, Nicholas Torres, Clayton Reeves, and Jack Sloane.
Looking at the positions people were in, I’d say it was actually Tony and he was aiming for Korts middle (the greatest body mass and less chance of missing and hitting the others. If you look he’s only kind of aiming (hip fire) so not 100% accurate.
Not that he didn't deserve it, but there were so many ways he could've stayed alive: 1. Not taken the trouble to explain the 21st century to Edgar 2. Just kept on running from the moment he exited the house 3. Seen that rock behind him while fighting Clayton 4. Just shoot Clayton to begin with or run as soon as he was incapacitated And the most annoying one yet... JUST TAKE THE FILES INTO THE FRONT SEAT WITH HIM I mean he's a 9/10 antagonist for NCIS, so kinda sad he only had what 6 appearances over 4 seasons?

Excellent scene...I'm showing my age here...but almost the same scenario happened on the great NBC TV series 'Crime Story' (circa 1988), with the bad-guy getting filled with lead in the end. Great TV (both shows).

So, the scenarists made him dumb near the end out of nowhere to justify he tried to shoot, against a whole crew pointing guns at him all direction, and the whole team had a "valuable reason" to respond fire and kill him... Sure. You know, i would ask, how would have they done, if the bad guy wouldn't have done that? Well, probably jail, sudden escape, And Tony waiting to shoot at the back door.
It won't be good on their conscience if he surrendered and they still shot him. It would be hard for them to write a report if it's plain murder and not a shootout. (Going for the gun, I already considered that as PART of a shootout)
No, he realized after he learned he and Ziva had a daughter that he couldn't be an Agent anymore. He never had any regrets for killing Kort, especially since Kort was a cold-blooded assassin.
