The longest recorded sniper shot eas almost a mile and a half I believe from a British Soldier on top of a water tower in Iraq with a 50cal rifle. Marine Snipers regularly practice at the 1000 meter line ising an modified M1 Garand Rifle or the M14 Rifle.
Didn’t a Canadian sniper(i think it was a woman) in Iraq make a 2.04 mile sniper shot and confirmed kill in the late 2000’s? Between 2004 and 2010 if I remember correctly. I thought that was the longest confirmed kill.
@@KingArthur7777xbox Yes. I saw the video of it on yt before it was (justifiably) removed 3 weeks later. There was a woman, don't remember if it was the shooter or spotter though.
@@KingArthur7777xbox I believe you are thinking of Dallas Alexander of JTF2 (Canadian Spec Ops). I believe he has the world's furthest IIRC. You can find a good interview with him via the Shawn Ryan show if interested.
This was one of the best scenes in the entire show's run.............and the only thing that hurts it is Gibbs showing up in the hallway 45 seconds after he makes that incredible, long-distance sniper shot.
Exactly. There is no way he could have covered that distance over rough terrain in enemy territory in that short amount of time. Not even in a vehicle.
Or, how it COULD have gone in a different scenario... Tony: My boss is a sniper. Salim: (ducks, just in case) And all goes south. Tony should have fought like hell with himself to shut about the sniper bit
Ah, yes, the good old times when crime investigators went into international hot spots to do the jobs of special forces - led by a boss who not only is a deadly shot but also apparently a speedster, able to run what looked like 2 kilometers in about 40 seconds. Entertaining to watch? Hell yeah. But utter BS.
@@robertmandl9326No different than CSI and them running around hunting the bad guys. That's why I prefered the original. They were doing their job, not the cops.
@@robertmandl9326 Exactly. It's a fantasy but it was an enjoyable one. I don't know who was taking it as any type of realistic look at NCIS...the HR violations alone from the Gibbs slap and shutting down the elevator for discussions should eliminate that.

@@tonyburzio4107 It wasn't gibbs correct it was another sniper. But for a joke it's simple how he got there so quick, He shot himself from the hill to the outside door
Maybe they dragged Ziva down a lot more corridors than was shown on tv and got lost a couple times like in Spinal Tap. Giving Gibbs time to scamper down the hills. 😉
Bro...did you not hear the helicopter? Lol, that's how I always believed he got there that quick. Could've had a chopper waiting on the ground just behind him on the other side of that hill.
to think that the first episode started with Gibbs, Tony, Kate, Abby and Ducky, they all left the show and the actor who played Ducky"David McCallum" passed away. the show lasted for almost 21 years
I always loved this scene most of al. I wondered how Gibbs could move from his sniper-position into the building so quickly. He protects hes team at al cost If he can avoid harm to one of his family he will do it no matter what.
Great scene in a great era of the show and it's characters. All you have to do is just a little suspension of reality in the time distance factor. But it wouldn't be the same without that closing shot of Gibbs.
I love how Gibbs took that shot from two miles away then was standing there 30 seconds later. SO he's an expert marksman AND HE CAN TELEPORT? "You could have just led with that"
Right because the timing was too perfect how could the bad guys not see the ear bud in his ear Tony knew to keep stalling until Gibbs was in position in real life they would have had to rely on intel in the vicinity put a sniper in the right spot where he could see where they were being held and watch everything from his position till the rest of the forces to get in position before giving the go ahead to take the shot that’s just my opinion
If theres not an appearance similar to this for the tiva spinoff im going to be sad. They deserve to have gibbs come out of retirement for them and say "lets go home" especially Ziva.
Awesome freakin' shot for a guy that the series made a point of declaring loudly, had bad vision. I know of at least 4 separate times people mentioned in the show that Gibb's vision was deteriorating.
The actor was so great in this role (Denozzo?). Comparing it to the show he did after (about the jury consultant) makes on realize-great acting but also writing for this character.
I watched NCIS until Ziva left. I tried a few episodes with the new girl but it just wasn't the same. But now I hear they're bringing Tony and Ziva back with their own show. That has to just a little curious...
Damn, that was one hell of a sniper shot! Gibbs, that was badass!
More impressed with how he covered that ground in less than 2 minutes...

most likely was driven there
You do not know: between solving cases and building boats, he's the coach to Usain Bolt.
The second shot wasn't Gibbs.
Exactly. There is no way he could have covered that distance over rough terrain in enemy territory in that short amount of time. Not even in a vehicle.
Two incredible shots.
Not only a sniper ....but also the ability to teleport
gibbs is a superhero we all know it lol
I know right!? He made it down there in flash and still wearing his ghillie suit.
Lol passive sniper skill...being exactly where you need to be at the right moment 🤣🤣🤣
he has the ability to stay out of his own line of fire.
You noticed that too. Leroy can teleport.
When Dad arrives to get his kids😂😂😂
Probably one of my favorite episodes in the whole show.
And Gibbs moves like The Flash............
There must have been a commercial break in there for him to cover that much ground on foot
Of course he does, he’s Gibbs!
Actually, there are two Gibbs's. That's been his main secret all along.
@@7thsealord888 That would explain why wherever you think he is and whatever you think he's doing, HE IS ALWAYS STOOD BEHIND YOU! lol
I actually counted. It was 14 seconds from the second shot until the third. That is some Usain Bolt shit.🤣
NCIS was never better than in the years with Ziva, though Kate was sorely missed. 😢
This is fake, but I agree 👍
(Been in it)
Fav line ; “I didn’t say I was going to be the one to kill you. Remember when I told you my boss was a sniper?” - still one of my fav lines from NCIS
Tony: .... and my boss is a sniper...
"Bang... Thud."
Nice timing Gibbs! 😂😂😂
Or, how it COULD have gone in a different scenario...
Tony: My boss is a sniper.
Salim: (ducks, just in case)

That kill was impossible.
That's when NCIS was worth watching.
Dam right my man

Great series

Watched NCIS faithfully until Gibbs left, then without trying I just drifted away. Was a good run as long as it lasted.
I did the same
I left when that blond girl was on the show. Like, wtf?

I love the look that Ziva gave Tony when he told Salem he had thirty seconds to live
She gives him this look of "that's my line"
One of the best scenes from that show. Fantastic
There is no NCIS without Gibbs.
Gibbs, Tony AND Ziva!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this episode, Truth or Consequences. My favorite.
One of the best scenes of the whole series!!!
In my book once a Sniper always a Sniper. That is one badass shot Gibbs.
Just this week I was telling my mother-in-law about this scene and that it was one of my most favorite from NCIS!
Best scene in the series. I haven't watched NCIS for a number of years but I still remember that.
I totally agree, and great playing by Michael.
One of the best scenes of many truly excellent scenes! I really miss this cast of NCIS!
I still wish Tony would have said “Hey boss.” Before Gibbs said “Let’s go home.”
How the he'll did Gibbs get there from a mile away in 10 seconds?
I always wondered that too. Awww the magic of television
Maybe the same way he got his boat out of the basement.😂
Maybe they dragged Ziva down a lot more corridors than was shown on tv and got lost a couple times like in Spinal Tap. Giving Gibbs time to scamper down the hills. 😉
He is the Six Million Dollar Man.
Bro...did you not hear the helicopter? Lol, that's how I always believed he got there that quick. Could've had a chopper waiting on the ground just behind him on the other side of that hill.
one of the best scenes in NCIS history.
Possibly my favorite scene of the entire series. I love Mark Harmon as Gibbs.
Love Mark Harmon period
@dennistofvesson6351 Good point!!😊😊😊
He was on the move the minute he shot the bullet that how good his aim is
This scene always makes me laugh, from so far away to in the doorway... Gibbs must cross over with some sci-fi beaming tech at some point
I remeber this episode. I was actually hoping there would be a gag that they all said "Dad!" When they walked around the corner and saw him.
This is still my favorite NCIS episode, primarily for this scene!
to think that the first episode started with Gibbs, Tony, Kate, Abby and Ducky, they all left the show and the actor who played Ducky"David McCallum" passed away.
the show lasted for almost 21 years
I remember this guy; they were able to track him down, all the way to his super top-secret base...because he had to have his Caff-POW~
Badass shot, Gibbs !!!
Tony always wanted a scenario in his life where he was living a movie, I guess he got to be Arnold in True Lies for a bit.
This was my favorite episode of NCIS.
I always loved this scene most of al.

He protects hes team at al cost If he can avoid harm to one of his family he will do it no matter what.
Best scene in NCIS series.
There's dad coming to save his kids
Made it all the way down from his sniper position in the time it took them to get into the hallway. Magic!
Long Range, the next best thing to being there!
Playing Ma Bell! Reaching out and touching someone!!
Great scene in a great era of the show and it's characters. All you have to do is just a little suspension of reality in the time distance factor. But it wouldn't be the same without that closing shot of Gibbs.
I still love this scene today, awesome episode
I love how Gibbs took that shot from two miles away then was standing there 30 seconds later. SO he's an expert marksman AND HE CAN TELEPORT?
"You could have just led with that"
He must have drunk a lot of Red Bull to get from where he fired the shot to reach them so quick.
One of the best episodes ever.
So Tony had Gibbs in his ear the whole time
Right because the timing was too perfect how could the bad guys not see the ear bud in his ear Tony knew to keep stalling until Gibbs was in position in real life they would have had to rely on intel in the vicinity put a sniper in the right spot where he could see where they were being held and watch everything from his position till the rest of the forces to get in position before giving the go ahead to take the shot that’s just my opinion
Or Tony was trying to keep him standing by the window because Gibbs being there was his last hope.
Yuppp,... the wildcard just got you to hold still long enough for the flight time.
I never looked at McGee face when Gibbs appears. At 2:18 😂😂
Holy shit Jethro must have super jumped to get there that quick.
One of the best scenes in TV history!!!!

The very best scene in all of NCIS!

Just in time for Christmas it's our latest toy, a Gibbs in a Ghillie Suit. 😂
That was such a great scene! I got goosebumps the first time I watched it.
One of the greatest scenes in tv history
one of the best shows, till the cast started leaving.
It started to decline before Ziva left.
Great episode!!❤
Carrying the rifle in his sniper gear and from Point A to Point B in a matter of seconds. 😂😂😂
Great clip! I loved this show.
That was the best ever episode of NCIS, but how did Gibbs get from his sniper nest, half a mile away, into the prison, in a matter of seconds?
To have a boss with that stat is priceless
Loves Tony here as he was not kidding and he knes what Gibbs would do to the guy
I remember watching this episode when it aired! I was amazed by that shot
The only thing more impressive than how well Gibbs can shoot, is how fast he can run.
Yup, I agree. Although when are they releasing NCIS Disney?
One of my favorite scenes
For me Gibbs sure is the best sniper on any tv show followed by Seeley Booth from Bones.
Gibbs 😘 I knew you'd come to save us 🥰

a sniper and the ability to teleport, that is a great skill set.

Yep, NCIS was great back then.
