I have a soft spot for "Calm down Caitlin" personally. I admit, on rewatch it's not a strong episode, more mid and repetitive with the moral. But as someone with brothers and a dog, I can relate to the engines just trying to get rid of someone while you try to relax. Plus the episode has a lot of gorgeous morning, evening and night shots. Not a 10/10 at all, just a mid episode to me.
While I don't necessarily agree with Over the Hill, the rest are pretty spot on. Samson annoys the heck out of me, the Henry/Chickenpox thing is a facepalm and Bill and Ben are just awful. Great video my friend, well done ☺️🚂🚃

I disagree with a lot of choices on the list, but Henry Spots Trouble is one I firmly agree with. Like, what the heck was up with him this episode? Three Steam Engines Gruff could have worked with A) tweaked dialogue and B) other characters (maybe some characters we don't really see that often, like Stanley, Rosie and Charlie). Pouty James... yeah, it happened way too late in the series. If this was early James, *maybe* I could by it. And the Bill and Ben episodes... I just have to wonder where this behaviour came from.
I actually like Samson Sent For Scrap, No Help at All (sort of barely), Over the Hill, Timothy and the Rainbow Truck and The Phantom Express. Reasons for SSFS: Scruff is likable, Reasons for: NHAA: Timothy finally takes action against the obnoxious rather unlikable twins, Reasons for OTH: It's so cool we get Sodor's own version of Statler and Wardolf, Reasons for T&TRT: I just love the busy industry in this one and reasons for The Phantom Express: I like the nighttime visuals a great deal, and we finally see another aspect of James' character which would only turn out for the worse as it flanderizes him in the next few series, but ignoring that those nighttime visuals man.
Samson sent for scrap: Harvey is the only one with braincells. Pouty James: This was comedy gold for me. That eye twitch from James killed me... 😂 Calm down Caitlin: Don't care for. No help at all: I was surprised to find out later on in the episode it takes place during "Salty all at sea". Over the hill: I died laughing during Stephen and Glynn's race when it started with "Eye of the tiger" to goofy old folk piano music... 😂🤣 Runaway engine: Don't care for. Scruff's makeover: Its fine for me. I want to see Whiff have a turn to be in Scruff's situation someday. Steamie Stafford: I have very little memory of what was seen in this episode. Henry spots trouble: Fact: The episode got banned in Australia for anti vaccination messages. No steam without coal: Don't care much. The phantom express: Meh. James was at his absolute worst in "Apology impossible" than this. 3 steam engines gruff: Mostly its Percy and Toby being hypochondriacs that annoyed me and Henrietta being the only one with braincells to tell the 3 Ffarquhar bois "You 3 are idiots... l:(".
Mines would defenitly be Pouty James Rocky Rescue/The missing Breakdown Crane Basically tied them The Frozen Turntable Signals Crossed Engine of The Future The Flatbeads of Fear The Three Steam Engines Gruff Hasty Hannah Henry Sports Trouble Dishonorable Mentions (These episodes are just okay) Duck and the Slip Coaches The Phantom Express The worst of them all A shed for Edward
Nearly all of Bill and Ben's Brennersance appearances are about them being freeloaders who argue all the time, and it makes me wonder why anyone keeps them around.
Bill and Benn are fully in character during the Brenner era with their mischief traits intact so their portrayal is fine.
