George Graham does not get the credit he deserves for what he achieved at Arsenal they were going nowhere until George took over he give youth a chance built the best back 4/5 as a unit the best I have ever seen he won 2 league titles 2 league cups an FA Cup and a cup winners cup and was unlucky not to win it again the following season after that fluke Nayim goal he won the league in 1991 loosing 1 game and conceding 18 goals in the league Arsene Wenger had alot of George Graham's foundations to build on. to win the league at Anfield by 2 clear goals was a masterstroke by George and signing Ian Wright was brilliant as Ian wright was the Reason I started supporting Arsenal at 10 years old he was a brilliant player and to come to Arsenal at 28 and score 186 goals is outstanding imagine we had Ian at 21 years old he would of hit 300 goals no problem COYG 😊

I’m going to try and upload the Nayim season next. I’m actually keen to see the run to the final again. I remember missing the 2nd leg v Sampdoria at the time as I was on a School trip. I still hate seeing the Nayim goal today. Horrible. There are 3 goals I hate seeing. Nayim, Owen in the 2001 FA Cup final & that Rooney goal for Everton 😄

@PES_DNA Shales I'm from swansea and John hartson scored in that game nayim was ex spurs 😡 which made it worse and the Liverpool game in 2001 we absolutely batterd them in that final I mean we took them apart then Owen scored those 2 goals my biggest upset was lehmann getting sent off in the 2006 champions league final after 15 mins we took Pires off to put the sub keeper on we went 1.0 up aswell but we struggled with 10 men hence why we lost 2.1 if lehmann had not been sent off we would of won that trophy I belive that would of made wenger the greatest then also the goal that kills me is giggs goal in the fa cup semi final replay 1998/99 bergkamp missing that pen was heartbreaking I believe if he scored it we would of won the double again but it was utd season winning the treble people ask me would I swap our unbeaten season for the treble no chance going the season unbeaten will never happen again I don't think it is so hard to do we nearly done it in 1991 loosing 1 game and winning the league we were the first to do it going unbeaten we have the rest of eternity to win a treble or European Cup but there is only one invincible the gunners 2003/04 P38 W26 D12 L0 brilliant 👏

Some terrific goals here. I didn't have Sky back then and it was great following Arsenal's run to the CWC final live on ITV.
I can remember rushing home from school to watch the Torino away match which ended in a 0-0 draw courtesy of some typically great Arsenal defending.
That CWC final was the longest 70 minutes ever after Smudgers strike. Changed days with Arsenal winning a European trophy with 11 English players starting..

What a night in Copenhagen for us.
Am proud to be an Arsenal fan.
Arsenal winning our second cup in Europe.
It's shame Rocky Rocastle didn't get the chance to celebrate our glory in Europe.

He got rid of the creative players like Limpar, Thomas and Rocky and replaced them with work horses with no technical ability like Hillier, Jensen and Selley. We played terrible football just lumping it up to Wrighty and hoping he’d score. If the defence conceded, which was rare tbf, we’d be in trouble and that was the reason we were so poor in the league

A lot of it was due to clubs redeveloping their grounds to implement the recommendations of the Taylor report. I'm a Manchester United fan, went to my first game at Old Trafford in November 1985. I went to virtually every game that season and it was packed out everywhere I went. We played at Stamford Bridge in September 1993 and we took 15,000 fans and packed out the old North stand. It was the last game I went to as an away fan at Stamford Bridge where the away end was terracing. I'm watching this because I prefer football from back then, compared to the rubbish we get now. VAR has ruined the game.

Once again, far too over reliant on Ian Wright. I remember Arsenal being heavily linked with players like Les Ferdinand and David Ginola at the time, but never followed up on it. Those two ended up doing very well at Newcastle.
