The Evil Within 2 had such a beautiful ending. Sebastian, reunited with his daughter in limbo, escaping the clutches of Mobius and STEM. TEW 2 is easily one of the most underrated games this generation.

Also, they're the publisher, not the main studio who develop the game, they do have a say in things, but if they aren't dumb, they'll just toss money and developers to help create it for the most part.
Agreed! And if they make a third one and plan to kill off Sebastian, I say don't make it! Some others say it should star Joseph or Kidman....but side characters leading the final game in a trilogy? Terrible idea! So, they should either let him survive the game or don't make it at all. But I really want to see him take down Ruvik, once and for all.

Now that'd sound cool for "Sebastian to take down Ruvik", but let's be honest, it's EW, not a Marvel Superhero movie. I'd rather see another character with some callback to sebastian, we have close to nothing on Joseph, so that could be interesting. You could make a point of "Hey let's save Myra now", but that'd be lame as fuck, for her death in the second game would be meaningless and it'd be the same plotline more or less than the second game ... Meh. I'm all for something new, as long as it's still horrific.

I just want to see her innocent smile The world is ending, yet I still climb, with a hope to save her and be with her again. Let my daughter know, her father is coming home again.
This part of the game took such an emotional toll on all of us.. I literally bawled my eyes out! This song is so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. This game told such a wonderful story.. I can’t believe all the hate it gets! I can’t wait until the next game comes out. There has to be another one, there’s so many unanswered questions. Joseph is still out there, too! We need to get him back!
He might come back in the next game! In the first game we only saw Mobius carry his unconscious body away, it could have been to preform more experiments with STEM because of his possible compatibility to the machine. There could be another branch of Mobius that was unaffected by the chips being destroyed. OR if Jacob was put into a STEM before everyone in Mobius died, he could essentially be trapped in it with a bunch of other people.
I honestly didn't expect to get emotional. I was pretty chill through most of the game. I supported Seb, he's a good guy. But just his voice when he says to Myra at the end "We can be a family again!" so hopeful just before the boss fight with her is what got me... then the camera cuts to Lily's drawing of them.
I am not going to stop thinking about this moment in the game ever. It was so well put together and so emotionally pulling. Holy shit. good job tango studios
Speaking to the nurse for the last time and seeing the cat just sleeping like his jobs done while this song plays is what does it for me for some reason. Always gets an emotion tug at the heartstrings, such an amazing game
This is what got me, as well, coming to the safe room. Sitting one last time in the upgrades chair, having one last small talk with the nurse, who at times was my sanity savior. I would come running to the safe room after a tense scene and just sit to hear her talk, grounding me and showing me I was safe that... She has kept me safe and helped me every step of the way. So, coming to hear her say this was it. Got me all teary eyed.
Amazing song. The artwork too though. How the character blends into the background with the scary faces behind him, holding the gun as if attempting to shoot himself yet his hands look like he is praying and his expression is a calm one.
I can never listen to this track without it bringing me to tears. I keep telling myself 'I won't cry this time'. It doesn't work. It gets me every time.

I am about to finish this game for the second time. What an awesome piece of work. If only Shinji Mikami knew how much we care about this game... there would be a third entry in the franchise. There is so much to tell about Stem, Ruvik, Joseph...
Lost my mom back in 2016, and this was the first game I got after she passed..the ending hit so hard with me that I can't helo but associate this song with her passing...but also the life she wanted for me, coming back to this song 6 years later...still strikes a heart wrenching chord with me
This game was a HUGE step up from the last one. Incorporating redemption, regret and loss as the main themes was a great choice on the new director's part. The same director of the Kidman DLCs that gave her more characterization than the actual main protagonist. The last game Sebastian was a cliche cop and an uninteresting character, but this game really made me feel for him. I am glad they improved his character and the story for the sequel.
I loved the first game, but this one was so much better. It had more dimension. While it had many of the dark and chilling aspects of the first game it also had many sad and tragic parts that explained what was weighing on Sebastian's heart. I hope they make a third game where he either gets his wife back, or he hooks up with Kidman.

Yukikos sacrifice hit me the hardest, I've done some really awful things in my life that I'm in no way proud of but the idea of redemption always keeps me going instead of giving up or going back to being the kind of person I was, watching her do what she did for the idea of redemption and then that being taken from her in a big sacrifice killed me :/ I had to genuinely take some time before continuing the game.
Was going through a bad break up of 10 years with kids and all when I played this game and man.... this part just broke me.... everything going on in my life just felt like this part and the title making your way home smh.... probably one of the most emotional time I ever got playing a game
Played the first one, it was good. Sometimes frustrating but it has it´s atmosphere and originality. Finally got to the second part. Immediately liked it, everything was working so good, one of the most polished games regarding gameplay. The atmosphere was even better! Dialogues made sense, Sebs reactions logical, I really cared for his story, for him. Enjoyed every minute of the game. I didn´t know it is so good! And then came the ending :O And this game got even higher in my list of top games. It was absolutely beautiful, sad and emotional. I call it now a MASTERPIECE! And this song, it made the ending so good! It also sits there with the best OST tracks from now on :)

I am lucky to have finished the Evil within Part 1 in my old Xbox 360 as I dont own a Xbox One. But THIS Game compels me to get it. Loved the game ! The characters, the story, the emotions...Very Underrated game this one.

Stupenda... Finito ieri sera grazie a Playstation Now e il punto finale con questa canzoncina di sottofondo mi ha fatto davvero emozionare... Povero Sebastian... Ne ha passate tante, sia nel mondo reale che nello STEM (avendo affrontato tanti mostri e boss) e si è ritrovato costretto a battersi contro sua moglie e voleva tanto che ritornassero a casa tutti insieme ed essere di nuovo una famiglia felice.. Tutti insieme. Mi ha colpito molto anche specialmente quando arrivati a casa nel capitolo 17, che c'era Myra fuori dalla casa e che Sebastian le stava parlando provando a farla ragionare ecc.. Che si mette a guardare la finestra della camera di Lily e che c'era il suo disegnino appeso vicino la finestra.. "Dad, mom, me"... Sempre con questa canzoncina di sottofondo... Emozionante davvero... e idem tutto il seguito fino alla fine, quando Kidman lotta contro la Mobius e nel frattempo Sebastian la sta cercando e poi la porta via dalla casa per scappare.. Con i vari cambi di scena fra loro

The Evil Within 2 is and has will always forever be one of my favorite video games. My Re5/Re6/Re7/P.T., all in one.
I pray that all is good in the world. That he doesn't ever have to go back.
