This video was hit with Limited adds for extreme violence so I had to re-upload the entire thing and censor a bit of the video.
But why Limited adds.? I think it's because UA-cam has placed this channel on alert and is deliberately hitting these videos before it's even done uploading yet.
What does Limited adds mean? It means that it will not get the views it would normally get and the video will fall out off UA-cam's algorithm.
Most of the time it will get adds back after review, sadly that's not working anymore. So i'm getting demonetized without breaking the UA-cam guidelines.

You nailed it.... I've walked many untouched battlefields off the beaten path... and I visited these fake 'foxholes' which are now sadly behind a tourist pay wall. There are many authentic foxholes around Foy and Bastogne, and I visited them myself. But sadly in the area Bois Jacques, there is nothing authentic to see there anymore; historical ground has been molested beyond recognition. As a tourist, appreciate the ground you stand on, but don't give an ounce of attention to any holes you see there.

Awesome video. The points you laid out speak volumes and I think it's only "fanboys" that will doubt it. So much information has been lost since ww2 between the combatants passing and other untraceable information that we can't ever know PRECISELY where things happened.
For me it would be amazing to just be in the general area of ww2 activity without having to be stood in the EXACT spot where a supposed legendary action took place because as mentioned before we can't 100% accurately place it a lot of the time.

I’ve visited with groups and wholeheartedly agree with you, it’s a money making location with no original fox holes. The general public though love it and it was top of their wish list during the visit. B of B created the legend of Easy Coy and people really want to visit locations within the series.

Couldn't agree more. Complete garbage. Been there at least a dozen times between 2006 and 2023, it's only a 45min drive from my place. All money making. It has become an insane cult, we don't have a single remembrance ceremony without any reenactors. A toxic culture it is and don't get me wrong, my folks were liberated by americans too. In my opinion it started a little over 10 years ago. The old bastogne museum was awesome. Thanks for your content!

It's a joke and been saying this for years and people called me a complaining crying boomer, but they pretty much did everything I called out. Atleast people are waking up to it now.

I live in the US and go to Kennesaw Mountain. It is a Civil War-protected battlefield park (1865) The Trenches are still there. I Have hiked it for 15 years and have not seen any noticeable change in the trenches. I do need to ask the park rangers if they do any maintenance on the trenches. You are not allowed to walk on anything but the trails they have set up. I do know they created many of the trials in the 1930s during the Depression. They did do digging and found bodies, but I don't know if they maintained the trenches. Having them survive for over 160 years seems a bit hard to believe, but our clay in this area makes that believable? Any thoughts? I should ask the questions about if they do "maintenance" but I guess I don't want to know. They so have many spots though that are irrefutable. You can see photos at the time and compare them against today.

Thank you for the comment and I think if they mow the grass, it is some short of maintenance to me. I don't think that sites actually dig out the trenches to keep them deep, but cleaning them of high grass would help.

I believe the most devastating battle was at st Vith it was more armored battle than Bastone 101 were surrounded and the Germans went around it 🤔

The trees around the 'fox holes' are not 70+ years old. End of story.

I’d never really thought about those foxholes other than it would be amazing to visit them when I go to Foy and Bastongne next year. I mean it’s crazy if they were real and had survived water damage especially during the winter time and especially so when considering this place is known for its harsh weather conditions in winter. I would like to add we shouldn’t criticise the other content creators for making videos talking about these foxholes and actually visiting them as I suppose they just read basic information about the area and didn’t look at it in as much detail as you did and you never know there could be some original foxholes somewhere hidden in the area. Also question how close were Easy Company to where these foxholes are during the battle?

    • @PanzerPicture
      @PanzerPicture  7 місяців тому +2

Some creators actually would deserve some critisisme, seen some respond to people saying they were fake holes and they admit in knowing they were fake but make more money out of YT if they follow the standard video format.
And I'm sorry but I don't understand your last qeustion?

@@PanzerPictureI was thinking of history secrets video on the foxholes, he makes some of the best WW2 content on social media in my opinion and he obviously didn’t know they were fake so I think he should be criticised because of it( I’m not saying you were criticising him It’s just some people might interpret you are). Anyway what I meant in my question was, was Easy Company in the forest were these foxholes are located during the Battle of Foy?

Been there a couple of times. Noticed in your video at around 11:14 that you mention that the original tree line used to be more towards the village. That tree line is exactly where it is compared to the old pictures that are in your video. So I don't get it where you think that the tree line used to be more towards the village. Cant post a picture here but if you draw the lines over the maps, its clearly that that outer line of forest hasn't moved . This is about the spot where the most photographed foxhole is. Also if you check the part of the forest that is to your left when visiting the Fenced off part of the forest you will find shallow spots where there used to be foxholes. The deeper ones are either new ones from reenactment or reactivated (dug again). Also the area of Foy knows 2 episodes in the battle of the bulge, the defending part and the attack part. The second took place in another part around the village Foy. The original foxholes are gone because the woods where they prepared the attack are long gone. Thanks for uploading your video, was fun to watch and i got more information out of it. Cheers.

Not sure about this, but if my memory is correct, digging around Bastogne has always been prohibit because of all the unknown graves and active ammunition that is still around@@thatguyguy1741
