I haven’t experimented much with it, just arrived last week, but the freedom to wash the developer down the drain with Black White & Green is a huge advantage to me.
Thanks for the comment John, That is big plus for this developer, it done a nice job on every thing that I have developed with it so far. I really liked it with semi stand on this first roll of Kemtmere.
I usually semi-stand develop my formapan 100 and 400 using HC110 which I believe is one of the best developers for this process. I don't get any more grain using this technique and indeed get a lot less grain than standard development in Rodinal. Formapan films really look good with semi-stand development and I almost always use this technique with it. T-grain films e.g. TMAX and Delta don't look as good but Tri-X can produce gorgeous, fine grain prints with 35mm negatives that were semi-stand developed.
Thanks for making this video! I've been looking into stand/semi-stand development with Black/White & Green, as it is my developer of choice, and I had been unsure of how to figure out my dilution. Your results look great, and I'm excited to try it myself now!
@@fasphoto since l wrote that, i now much prefer XTOL 1:5 for kentmere 400. 45-50m for box speed up to 1h30m for 1600. Its not that different looking but way less toxic
@@gavinjenkins899 Xtol seems to be a fav. of many, nice to know it works for stand. That's also why I gave B&W and Green - Ascorbic acid based also less toxic like Xtol
@@fasphoto As far as I know, literally every developer works for stand, with maybe the exception of diafine or C41. I'm experimenting with XTOL 1:7 even and getting reasonable results

Gorgeous results!
Thank you.

Thanks, I haven't used HC110 since the 70's and 80's. I have to revisit and a try using semi stand.
Truly envious of your results. Looking into Black White %& Green.
Thanks for the comment. I think it has done very well so far and I am especially impressed using it for stand development to this point.

Thanks. Glad you found the video helpful. It has produced some nice results for me both standard and semi stand.
I've usually liked the results better from stand development with D76 1:3 than Rodinal (same timings, about an hour)
I haven't used D76 since the 70"s. I should go back and revisit. Thanks for the tip.

awesome
Thank you Chris
Cool! Also have a look at compilations of my film photos.
Thanks.
@@fasphoto Do you know if Holga has some official website? I would like to buy 135 version but can't find any official site or store.
@@AnalogFramecraft I don't know of any official Holga store website, but you can try B&H photo, Freestyle, and amazon.
