With a prime minster who’s a true leader, he appears to be a man of values, honour and integrity with great pride in his country.
If only all countries could be so lucky as to have a leader like this man.
I wonder. As a Scotsman… when we are inevitably invaded (officially- the unofficially has already begun)
Will Poland help us as we did in 1932? 🤔

'Hubal' embodied the spirit of Polish King John III Sobreski who led the Hussars cavalry to break the Ottoman siege against Vienna in 1683 that saved what was left of Christendom and was the beginning of the end of Ottoman domination in eastern Europe. Sobreski is the reason we use the term "The West" today. 'Hubal' is a more recent Sobreski.

I’ve only positive experiences of polish and Hungarian. As a Scottish infantryman.
To be honest the Russian guys i met were v cool with me too.
Admittedly I met them in a setting where “I’m the cool guy” (a demonstration where the instructor had asked me the previous night if I would work with him on)
So I was introduced as “this soldier who knows more than any of you” much to my own chagrin.
However. It was a multi country project/event and had shared training events any could attend. This was only in 2015.
I definitely remember drinking with Latvian and Russian guys… (vaguely but definitely😅)
I remember a very interesting conversation with a Spanish skydiving instructor (thank you brother your advice has changed my life)
Many Americans, Brits, Aussies, some guys I’ve trained with in Canada… different cap badges (mos for Americans) and all sorts of roles. Had everything from the “special pen service” who have no fitness tests, close protection, remfs’ all the way to tier 1 operators. (I don’t like this reference but it seems to in English at least turning into the standard to how we measure special forces)
Anyway: like 8.5 years ago… 2 phones ago. Maybe 3.
We all laughing and joking with each other.
You know who wasn’t there though? Ukrainians.
Interesting now I think on it.

No other country suffered in World War 2 as much as Poland, with 24% of their entire population not surviving to the end of the war. My heart bleeds for their suffering. This extraordinary tale of an extraordinary man should stand as a testament to their courage, their forbearance, and their determination to endure. That Poland should at last be safe within the structures of the EU and NATO gives me immense satisfaction, and I firmly believe that they are now on the threshold of a Golden Age in Polish history. Niech Zyje Polska! With much love and admiration from the UK.

Poland was the only country occupied by Germans, which never surrender to them. In fact mjr. Hubal was a part of country wide organised Underground Polish State, which was organized in 1939/1940. The underground state with a fully organized underground army of 380.000 soldiers in its peak, underground education system on every level with approx 1.000.000 students, underground judicial system, underground postal service, underground press system, etc. This was a phenomen on the World's scale, back then. There are so many books, movies, mentions gloryfing rightfully the French Resistance. However, with all due respect for the French Resistance, they were just very brave amateurs comparing to the Polish Underground State. Someone could ask why nobody in the West ever heard about this. The answer is simple. Because British and Americans sold Poland to Soviet Union, and severed ANY ties with Poland. To this very day, so called British "historians", are keeping silence or vastly and purposefuly deminishing and undermaining the role of Polish Armed Forces on the West WW II theatres, and the Polish Underground State in occupied Poland. And this have been and still is a systematic action. Silence about all the above, keeps hidden the historical and undeniable fact, that "great British hero" W. Churchill enthusiaticly betrayed Poland, by trading it to Soviets, without any hesitation. That is a classic don't ask - don't tell situation, for mentioned British "Historians". Guess who delivered to Britons the first fully functioning and decoded Enigma machine (before even WWII started)? Bletchley Park would be a sorrow joke without Polish highly educated engineers. Guess who delivered the first complete V1 missle (deassebled of course), long beore ANY of these missles hit English soil? Maybe it would be worth to look into a wider history of the Underground Polish State? There are tones of available sources on that topic world wide (except England of course).

my godfather , wladomir jannecki, continued the fight too, despite being very underage.
his size and appearance brought him to the attention of occupying forces and he was so often questioned as to his knowledge of partizan activity, that it pushed him into the arms of the resistants.
his eyes were deepset as though they had seen too much, yet sparkled with warmth.
    sorely missed.

I could not find a book reference, even though I recall a detailed description of this last stand in English somewhere I can't find now. Yes, they were Soviets, and Russians are "bad guys" now and always have been vis a vis Poland. So what, hopeless defiance is admirable in any people.

All through the thirties, germany sent "engineers" and other assets to map the invasion in 1940. My country suffer this day from german tourists that use german gps to navigate roads. German gps still use the maps they mapped out in the 1930`s instead of using modern maps. This is very amusing and have lead to a lot of frustration and a lot of laughs not from germans. The germans knew every centimeter of europe. It is astonishing that the intelligence services of the day never saw that threat. As the soviet threat after, soviets had more detailed maps of my country that was available to civillians or even the coast guard.

Unfortunately, most countries governments focus on their self not the best for their country and citizens. Blind by greed and power, not watching the ones who are paying them leading to the downfall. In general no nation is helping another one without a reason, that reason is normally the other's downfall. I have been seeing this unfold in my own country. The many traitor's betrayal, creating laws against the people, handing technology, money and access to undermine, buy, and steal the country. . . A country that has stated that it's goal is to destroy my country before I was born and has repeatedly said that since.
