I'm wondering if the reason he did not get the metal he deserved was because he was not seen as Soviet enough IE he was Jewish or gypsy from what I understand it wasn't only the Americans who had the habit of not giving minorities the medals that would do them it was also the Communists have it as well, especially if you were not a party member.
Another legendary T34 commander plays a great role in the movie White Tiger. Probably not as real as this hero!
Lavranenko was Ukrainian. This is what the world doesn’t realise, is that Ukrainian soldiers won the war for the soviets. And there’s no such thing as “russian Cossacks” if anything russia always tried to disrupt and marginalise Ukrainian Cossacks.
❤
The T-34 was actually almost useless at the beginning because of lack of training, poor design standardization, and difficult to use controls.
For every German tank destroyed at the stsrt, it took about 5 Soviet tanks if they were lucky.
😂😂😂
@@brankomilicevic6904 Not to mention they had air filters so shitty, the engine would die after about 120 km but that was okay because most of them only drove about 50 before they got taken out.

The T-34 will soon be called back into service. Putin needs them…
No, T72 ´s turrets fly way better and are considered more dangerous than the russian Air Force!!

mad that Russia has gone weak since then 🤣
Weak how is Ukraine doing with it's invasion of Kursk 😂😂
At 12:25 i guess Russian men kiss each other on the lips.
If you are getting your facts from Soviet sources , then I call BS .
You don't know where he got his sources.
@@Vaushgg I'm sure the Germans would say that a Soviet soldier was such a wonderful person .
@@augustuswayne9676 I don't think so.
The Russian “T-34” movie from 2019 is actually a really good watch. Rotten Tomatoes rating is in the 80s. Watching with the original Russian with subtitles is the best, in my opinion. The English dubbed version doesn’t really flow. It’s not based on this, but it’s still worth a watch.
sounds more like red army propaganda. What are your sources for this "documentary?"
The BBC department of totally true facts
Most T-34's had a service life expectancy shorter than the time it took to burn a full tank of fuel. Most literally didn't make it far enough to need a refill.
You know nothing. T 34 was the tank which won WW2.
@@Jakez408 Yeah, with sheer numbers. Just like the Shermans.
