As an EMT, this video came in very useful as I knew what to ask for from the cabin crew when a diabetic patient had an issue with their glucometer. While not an emergency at that moment, it did help avert one in the end.
Strange to see no needle cricothyroidotomy kit or scalpel, interesting none the less. As a paramedic here in the UK I can use almost all of those drugs.
@@TexasCCLP Yeah but its just easier to use an epi-pen in an emergency situation say if there is an EMT-B on an aircraft and he cant do intramuscularly
I still to this day don't understand why they don't have a nurse or two on every flight. Would make sense since a lot could go wrong in this type of situation for a 9 hr flight.
But these people are not medically train to do these I already have anxiety when I have to get an iv done at the hospital bc I worry about air bubbles and these people have had training but what if they miss a step and kill someone it's scary

It’s in the IV-kit apparently
Excellent video! Thanks for posting!
That kit has everything Paramedics carry in the jump bags. Weird coincidence.
They should add some epi pens
@@tgs9034 The 1:1000 epi given intramuscularly is essentially the same thing as an epi pen

Ty appreciate it
King airway or Igel would be awesome.
I find it silly that they have propofol and succinocolym but no et tubes and a trach tueb but no scalpel smh
@@meowpurrr they dont have propofol or sux www.cmaj.ca/content/190/8/E217/tab-figures-data
