Making Two Mallets, Two Different Ways

I needed to make two smaller mallets for fine chisel work. The two mallets that I've been using are just a little to big. I had also gotten a bunch of veritas hand tools for Christmas and I really wanted a project just for them! Hope you enjoy the video!

Nice mallets! I recently made one that cracked also. I drilled it and glued in a 1/2" dowel for reinforcement. Thanks for sharing this.
