CDJ-200 is $400, It is all you need, Incredibly durable and will never break, lightweight, 3 effects that are useful as heck, incredible accuracy with pitch control, and smooth jogwheel. Also the play and cue buttons are extremely responsive and are metal. Definently worth the money, the blue glow looks great! And who needs cdj 1000's? These play mp3s!
@iluvrandomnames i know ;) they haven't cause they are not midi compatible but you can use this cd-player as a timecode controller to control your dj program but it doesn't have an inbuilt soundcard! Daniel
i have the CDJ200, and it works great with CDs, but some mp3s are a problem for it, and it displays a VBR on the screen, and wont rewind or fastforward, loop, or even allow me to CUE where i want :(
Can you specify "some cables" please? Do I need a timecoded CD, and can you tell me how it works?? Sorry for my questions, but it is a lot of money for my, and I don't wanna wast it... Thx a lot for your help!!
If you want to learn on both CD's and TT's then i advise getting one of each. I always advise people to learn on TT's first with no BPM counter so you get the basics of beat matching with no modern BPM aids. If you can master this then learning to use CDJ's is an absolute doddle.
@kazaamjt True, but I don't even play with it anymore only once in awhile. It was a hammy down from my cousin when it was poppin in the late 80's to the early 90's MK2 FTW!!!!
yo man i need help. I am about to get some cdj 200s like tonight, and i am wondering do you use itunes? becuase most of my music has been bought off itunes and they are all in mpeg4 protected format, so i am wondering does the cdj 200 play mpeg4s?
i'm so confused about what cdj to get now.... I can't say that there's no way to compare a cdj on a turntable, but it's cheaper for me to get a cdj plus it takes up less space. i have about $800 to spend, what can you recommend? I'm still fairly new, but i know basic elements of djing.
True, but as a minimum to start off with. I'm saving up to get a better mixer cause a vmx 100 does NOT cut it! First thing is first though, traktor scratch, then technics, then the mixer. Effect and the likes are only bonuses. As long as I can mix I'm happy
hy i am christian from ROMANIA and i wanna ask u something, i just wanna buy 2 cdj 200 pioneer and i donno what mixer is ideal to this players can u give me a advice what mixer should i must buy?:) thanx
I would like to get into electro and house... Hip-hop isn't my style, and I'm not going to scratch... The reason why I wanted icdx'es is because I was able to use them with the PC... (I'm working with VDJ now, just for fun, but I'm a bit used to that program...) I don't think I wanna go for Vinyl... that's a bit to expensive for me, but thanks for the interrest...
i´m buying my first real dj kit... the mixer will be a DJM-400 and i´m thinking of buying 2 CDJ-200... should i buy them or CDJ-800 or 1000? im on a low budget :/
@TheOfficialWarpath I like how i asked the question 2 years ago and ppl are still replying llike i didnt read the first 15 comments and haven't djed a ton of parties since when i asked it.
@korni4ever get two used or refurbished CDJ 200s for under 600$ and get a basic mixer with your remainder 200$. Get used to using CDJs and then you can move on to more advanced models etc (with lots more money of course). :P
there sooo nice!! had one ended up selling for car got 100s nows but o the 200 i think that jog wheel is a bit tooo smooth i didnt like it much prefer one with some grip lol
Well a cdj 200 will set you back around 400 dollars... 2 cdjs and a mixer you can expect 900 dollars. If I were you I'd buy vinyl turntables first to see if you like it, then upgrade to cdjs
All these years gone and I TOUGHT I was alone with my set of CD 200 and 100
the ideal mixer is a pioneer djm300 or djm400(the 400 one comes with effects) pioneer intended this 3 (2xcdj and djm400 to go togeather)
I did, and I came to the Icdx'es... they're normal CD-players with a midi controller inside, but I'd like CDJ's more...

i´m buying my first real dj kit... the mixer will be a DJM-400 and i´m thinking of buying 2 CDJ-200... should i buy them or CDJ-800 or 1000? im on a low budget :/

@flyersqb5 i like how people only care about scratching. it's the mix that really matters, if you wanna scatrch, get some technics
yes, it is, but I don't see why you should do that...
(btw, you can't control your volume if you do that...)
do you actually need cds or can you just use the music off your laptop?
Pioneer DJ ki kya price hai Haritha hai
there sooo nice!! had one ended up selling for car got 100s nows

I was glad to see the hand was ok.
@Seantube3 yeah, $400 is cheap for a pioneer cdj lol. they are the best makers of cdjs in the world.
@AntonioKolicUK SOSOSOSOSOSOSO FUNNY. I LOVE YOU !!
anybody know if the cdj200 has vinyl mode/ can scratch? please let me know!!
It doesn't, the jog wheel is just for pitch bend. Hope this helps.

Vinyl mode is not part of the CDJ-200.
