- In this scene, my heart melted because the youkai knew that humans have a short life, just like the short life of these flowers, yet they're still entranced by Natsume. This scene represents the encompassment of all the youkais Natsume made such an impact on their lives.

For those who don’t know the story, during this episode, Natume caught a cold after accompanied these two yokai to view those pretty flowers, so these two tried very hard to obtain a legendary fever medicine just for him.
After they delivered the medicine by completing a difficult quest, they learned from another yokai that it wouldn’t work for human.
All of their hard works meant nothing, so they decided to pick the pretty flowers for him.
But Natsume did get better, and believed that the medicine helped, so he came thanking them.

Actually the medicine worked you see his grandmother wasn't completely a human either... so there's a chance that the same Yokai blood was passed on him as well
@@piyushpandey9942 When did they say that? I didn't read anything about she not being a full human. I am pretty sure his grandmother was also a human, same with his grandfather, who was mentioned on one occasion.

@@piyushpandey9942 the point wasnt really about whether the med worked or not. the point was how the midrankers youkai tried their best to actually cure natsume, but then they finding out that the medicine wouldnt actually work that they still try to gather flowers to give to natsume, how they are shocked and how they want to make natsume healthy again, even though they know that one day, just like reiko, as fragile as humans are, that natsume will eventually die, but how they are entranced by him.
Coming back to this scene to cry again after knowing that natsume's getting a seventh season!! This series' beauty will never cease to mesmerize me

These yokai exerted so much effort just to get the medicine needed for Natsume. So touching! Another episode also that Natsume's yokai friends together with Misuzu and Hinoe came for Natsume to help him and protect him from other yokai. Even tho Natsume didn't call them. Such friendship!

I love this scene so much. It was so beautifully written and so beautifully portrayed. The youkais knew how short a humans life is yet still, they care so much about Natsume. I can only just imagine how many youkais would be so heartbroken when Natsume becomes old and passes away or when he can no longer see them again. ;~;

This anime is so sad, knowing they'll have to say goodbye one day. Them knowing that humans live little but still love Natsume. Knowing that he will never meet Reiko, but that if they had met, perhaps neither of them would feel so alone... Everything is so so sad
