cheers for the helpful advice man, i get you now, thats currently what im working with, circuit abs training, i find it works much more effectively, not only working the abs harder and not wasting as much time in the gym, but its also a great substitute for fat burning ! my abs are well developed atm, just trying to mix up some other routines to really nail them and keep my body guessing ! cheers man

Those 'leg lifts' (the 1st exercise) are great, a brilliant way of combining leg raises with reverse crunches. Try holding a light dumbbell between your feet, doing a set of around 20 reps, then dropping the dumbbell and immediately doing as many more as you can for a great lower abs workout.

Yep. That's dedication and Rob knows what he's doing. A lot of damn work and cardio as he said. Working out and diet to get less than 10% fat to even see the ab muscles is damn hard I imagine. You can't target fat sections of the body either so there's no short cuts.

Hi Rob, big fan of your videos, helpful for even advanced trainers like myself (god that sounded arrogant no?!) What I am interested to know is if you aim to reach concentric failure on each set? or do you 'ease off' slightly to make the ab workout have more of an endurance feel?
Thanks in advance, you're a true inspiration.

Hi I´m 16 years old, 17 in two months. I started on a diet and started to cut a week ago, I wasn't overweight I was exercising 6-8 times a week and I did'nt eat junk food. I am 186cm tall and I was weighing 87kg. I did some tests on the internet to know approximately how much body fat I have and all tests showed around 10-15% (I know they aren't 100% correct since its taken from averages but it´s highly possible that I lie around that area).
After a week I now weight in at 84kg, I have been exercising 12 times this week. I´ve been going up 7 in the morning all days except Saturday (my rest day). On Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday I did 30min walking on a treadmill then around 40min or ab workout. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday I did 40min of high intense interval training.
I´ve been having oatmeal and mixed berries for breakfast everyday except my rest day, I´ve been eating tuna salad each workout day for lunch, avocado and an egg for snack. And then I go to the gym again working out with weights. Monday and Thursday I did chest and shoulders, Tuesday and Friday I did biceps and triceps and Wednesday and Sunday I did back and legs. All these workouts took about 1.5 hour to 2 hours. I always had a protein shake after working out with weights with some cinmamon and nutmeg to increase my metabolism and burn extra fat. For dinner at 17:00 I had chicken with vegetables every workout day. And at around 19.30 I ate a handfull of nuts (cashews and almonds).
As you see I´ve been working on like crazy and the only supplement I´ve been taking is protein powder (100% whey gold standard with 88grams of protein and 3 grams of fast acting sugars per 100gram) and I´ve been going to bed at around 21.30-22.00. And I do see quite big results, my abs are starting to show I still don't have a sixpack but the V and my obliques are starting to show.
So I just wondered if this is too dangerous since I eat very few carbs a day, I try to eat just enough carbs to keep my healthy but not to many. As I said before I´m only 16 soon 17 years old I dont have that much experience. If its too dangerous could you guys give me advices on how to burn fat fast but keeping it safe.

Not sure you are serious but if this is for real you'd better consult a trainer. Not sure what country you're in so don't know how much possibility there is for you to speak to fitness experienced people.
From my long and extensive experience you are overdoing it. Your bones and body are still developing so you need at least 8 hours of sleep and rest days.
You can do yourself long term injury to joints and tendons. The bicep muscle for example is a very small muscle and if not treated well can give you a lifetime of problems.
Every serious expert says one needs a day off in between. Train 2 or 3 days and one day rest. Or every other day.
You need to talk to people who are serious and have trained a long time.
I knew a lad in Germany where I was living who was 26. He had a body like a god and told me he began age 16. And some of what I've recommended to you is what he told me. I saw him 6 years later and he was still a god and training regularly with consistency.
Are you in this for the short term or long run??

    • @ZNI492
      @ZNI492 10 років тому +1

thanks for your answer. I live in Sweden so there are PTs everywhere, So here´s the "new" deal. I grew tired of my diet so I redid it. I added more protein overall and a little bit more carbs after workout. But I still go minus about 600-800 calories a day, before it was between 1000-1200 some days maybe even 1400. And to be honest I dont really need advices anymore, I´ve found what fits for me now. I´m not losing any weight anymore, im steady at 82-83kgs. However, I´m still losing fat and I grow stronger. But thanks anyways, and btw I´m in for the long run :)

If he does steroids, well, he'll have to deal with the consequences. At this point most who exercise know the dangers of juicing up, and if they decided to do it, what can I say?
