Love this device! You gotta try the Koriki custom firmware, that really opened up this device for me. SUPER easy to install on a fresh SD card and a much nicer overall user experience. Great vid!
Love that clear purple color. Btw the resolution on the 35XXh is much higher than the old one. This one is 4:3 at 640x480 resolution while the old one is 3:2 at 320x480. Also the RA section plays the games through retro arch and the game rooms section uses stand alone emulators. You want to the the RA section most of the time so you can have all the scaling options and shader options and games run much better. The Game rooms section gives you almost no options to work with. You only want to use game rooms for psp. Just a little tip for everyone out there.
Seems pretty good. Probably would pick this one up if I need another or have to recommend one to a friend. I've been using my ARC-D and have been pretty happy with the way that it runs a ton of the homebrew and indie GB and NES games available.
I actually like the long press to boot it up. It prevents it from accidentally being turned on by mistake and you not knowing, only to find a dead battery when you go to play it.
I guess when it comes to Anbernic it is part of the fun to tinker with custom firmwares bcs the stock os won't deliver the full potential... nevertheless I love Anbernic devices, my trustworthy RG405m and new RG35XX Plus that arrived today. Now I just need to find a custom firmware for the 35xx😅 nice video!
I need to look into custom OS for this one! I remember changing the old one to EmuElec and everything worked much better! Also thanks for being a channel member! Appreciate the support :)
@@RetroBreak definitely keep a lookout for Black Seraph and their garlicOS 2.0 project for the rg35xx H. Once it is out of the alpha phase it will blow the anbernic stock os straight out of the water!
@@RetroBreakThere’s a recent one that’s in a decent state although it’s labelled as an alpha. I can’t post a link but just Google “Batocera Lite/Koriki Alpha for RG35XX Plus and RG35XX H” and you’ll find it.

I got my threw days ago and loving the handheld console along with the clear purple colour.. But noticed both sd cards share most of the same games I've ordered 2 brand new sd cards so when they turn up be doing fresh roms but just wounding if I'll be able to slit the consoles between sd cards like old snes and etc on sd card one and sd card 2 for dmc games and psp games is this possible 🤔 or making life just harder for my self 🤣
Are the original SD cards really as bad as people say? I have one of these coming this week and have ordered 2 sandisk extreme cards to flash Koriki to and replace to stock ones. Just wondering if I need to do it immediately
I ordered the normal as plus instead of a gbc screen 😂 but i will end in getting an ips for a gbc one day i think. At least for one game o own wich cant be emulated becaus it has acceleration sensors in it.
Not great honestly, I tried it on my monitor and it was 720p low res and blurry, no reason I’d ever use it compared to any of the other ways I have for playing retro games
i put Batocera lite on mine , it's not the finished product yet and having to rest the system to turn N64 off is a pain but it's better than the stock FW.

many emulation devices have phone screen dimensions with superior controls though i can see how some would prefer to combine their phone as an all in one, power with convenience. at the end of the day phone screens will always be too wide for 8/16-bit games
@@FARDEENKHANQWE123 the difference is phones don't have 4:3 or 720 x 720 sized screens like these devices. so you're stuck with huge black bars or ugly borders to fill out the rest

Hi 👋
As a Hand Held Fanatic I'm putting this on my list of devices to own! Thanks for the link to get one & thanks for the Retro Break!

I've seen so many of these struggle with Dreamcast. Thanks for showing some of those titles off on this.
I was really impressed with how Dreamcast ran on this! It’s so cool to have DC games on something this size!
Is it good for dreamcast and n64? If not what is the next best console that can do that?
I ordered one this week. Really looking forward to it arriving.
I actually like the long press to boot it up. It prevents it from accidentally being turned on by mistake and you not knowing, only to find a dead battery when you go to play it.
Nice, Cool emulation
Enjoyed so I subbed
I imagine moonlight is the software that enables you to stream games from a pc
Yep moonlight to receive the signal on the hand held and I think Sunlight to broadcast from the PC
I’m a huge fan of the Anbernic RG353M, the perfect little retro handheld, Linux-based so no Android control lag!
I've definitely launched the SD out of my RG35XX Plus lol
Moonlighting is so you can stream games from like, your PC, and you can play them right on your handheld..pretty cool option

Can you add pico 8 roms? If so where can you find them? I can't find them anywhere.
Having trouble deciding between this and miyoo mini plus. This looks more comfortable to hold but the onionos is so clean
Can I officially use this to play multiplayer Mariokart DS since it has a newer WiFi chip?
How do you save a file state using Koriki? the function button isn't working for me.
I had a copy of the game disk made on an up-graded 64 GB. disk. Is this a good thing to do? I heard the one it comes with will probley go bad.
I've been umming and arring between the Plus and the H. The Gameboy fan in me says the Plus but the practical side says the H for the analog sticks.
Either choice is great! I think this one is a bit more powerful, but the Plus looks and feels nicer
@@RetroBreakwait why is more powerful? Isn't the hardware the same minus the sticks?
Now I just need to decide between the 'Atomic Purple' or clear white 😅

is it better than the rg35xx plus? How does it compare to the rg35xx plus specs wise?
it's the same, the XX is the chip used, so the only difference is the form factor
@@RetroBreak okey, thanks!
Is it true that we must not use charger with out put more than 5 watts on RG35XX ?
Do it have n64 on here ?
Think I'll wait for the RDG405HHTYLW200 model.

This or rgb30
The screen is defininitely a different resolution to rhe 351p, its not even the same aspect ratio 351p had a 3:2 screen
Are there cheat options for the emulators on the stock anbernic os? Oh and fast forward for GB GBC etc?
I didn’t see any cheat or fast forward options, maybe you can set them up in the retroarch emulators but not on the default ones
@@RetroBreak thank you!!!!!
