Hey guys, here is the link to my 1st video testing out Crayola air dry clay, Das, Creative Paper clay, Amaco & Jovi: ua-cam.com/video/4XeG4lKoB4E/v-deo.html
Hi there, I am looking for advice on which kind of clay would be best for taking some paw prints from my pet? I have read mixed answers on whether polymer or air dry clay is best. Air dry apparently shrinks and cracks easier, whereas polymer should not do those? There aren't many options in my area, so I have been looking on ebay. I have found sculpey and mont marte but now have read bad things about mont marte, including this video mentioning how sticky it is. Should I try sculpey? Should I just stick with air dry clay? I'm so lost and confused about what to do.. PLEASE HELP AND ADVISE
This has to be the best product comparison video I've ever seen!!!! You went about this whole thing in a really consistent and useful way. Thank you so much for sharing this info with everyone!!!
Lucky me -- I don't have to look up anymore videos about air dry clay. This review is probably all I need. I don't know what your channel is about , but you got a new subscriber. I have never seen a better review of anything, than what you just did~GOOD JOB!
I'm so happy activa did so well I had it in my cart but I was still looking through reviews. I made the mistake of leaving my phone unlocked around a 4 year old who ultimately ending up buying it for me 😅. This video put my mind at ease. Awesome job!
Super helpful video! Do you ever work with cold porcelain clay? it's another type of air dry clay. I'd love to see a comparison video on those types if you are looking for suggestions.
I came to this video from your first one searching for comparisons of Air Dry clays. Both were so helpful and you cover so many aspects of the clays. Well done. I do wish you had tested the first other clays with the mold too as you did on this one. Do you think you could do a follow up new video putting those other clays to the mold tests? I mostly use molds so it would be very helpful. Thank you. Maybe you could do a special video with only all the mold tests, using the footage from this one and adding the other new tests. I think that would be a great video for those of us who use molds. Specially if you added the test of letting the clay dry overnight or several hours INSIDE the mold. I usually do that, i let it dry inside so that I get all the details and its easier to pull out. Oh and also may I ask why you do not use a wooden roller pin as I have seen other use? Does it stick more than a glass bottle?
Because of your last video I have been using DAS, but always looking to improve, learn, and try new things. I do very small projects like candle holders and trinket dishes but there is not much out there in my style which is shabby chic so I wing it. If you every try shabby chic style I will definitely be one to watch videos. Thank you again for this wonderful comparison.
I've been using mont Marte clay for 6 months now, I never faced cracking issues. But yes, it gets messy and sticks to the hand a lot, specially when I add water in it to soften it a bit. but for me, it's not an issue because it's pretty affordable in my country for small clay artists like me! I've made many clay charms and pots with this clay, and didn't face any major issues.
Thank you so much for going through all the rigamaroo buying and testing all these clays for us. I am just starting out, a newbie for sure and want to add on air dry clay castings on ornaments for Christmas this year. Yep, getting started now but what a huge variety and no clue what I needed. That is until i saw this video. Thanks again. Now to look for the right molds….ugh! ;)
Another really good video. Very interesting very useful. How would these Clays compare to the ones in your first videos, especially the ones you liked?
Hello; I do appreciate you shedding light on the viability of these clays. However one slight concern is that the shape (disk) may not be the only test shape you should use, because of energy distribution when it comes in contact with the surfaces you drop it on may be less reactive as a cylinder, or perhaps a pot shape. These shapes have different surface areas that may demonstrate the true strength of the produce. However having said that, I do think that from your videos, I may want to try out Das clay as well.
Out of both videos the clays I always use are Das, creative, jovi, activa supreme & Sculpey air dry clay. I love them all but if I had to pick 2 I would pick activa supreme & creative paper clay. So sorry for such a late response for some reason I didn’t see your comment before. 💖😊
I need help for craft mostly jewelry but others items for sculpting need o if between das or sculpy. Only thing differe between the too is that sculpt is a bit more ding forgiving softer to work with and das main point is that it lays flat after curing no warping which is good for jewelry.
Hi! I’ve been using DAS modeling clay for my clients hand prints! It is MIA and can’t find them anywhere anymore?! I’m so sad it was the best! Is Sculpey you think really good compared to das? I’m so sad!!
Yes I think sculpey is a great alternative if you can’t find das. The texture is a little bit different from das’ texture but it’s still a great clay. 😊

Sculpey is an overall really good clay for both their air dry clay & polymer clays. Das air dry clay would be good for paw prints too. They also sell dog clay paw ornament kits on amazon. I’ve used them before to make some for my dog and they came out great! 😊
The one air dry clay that I have tried that feels closest to polymer clay is the sculpey air dry clay. Its also a really good clay, just softer than polymer.
Two great terracotta air dry clays are the Das terracotta air dry clay & the Jovi terracotta air dry clay. I find that they preform the same as the white versions. :)
I bought Crafts Smart clay and it breaks really easily :'( literally the moment I hold it with a little bit of pressure it just breaks, I wish I saw this video before buying it 😢
You've mixed too much water in Mont marte clay, that's your fault, why blame clay? I've seen many using it, they got super soft n neat works! And you've given "not bad " label for the ones which got cracked, but Mont marte didn't got cracked

Absolutely cackling at the drop test. I'd like a throw test next.
Honestly was kind of hoping the Mont Marte would just shatter to a million pieces.
I was also hoping that mont marte would break lol
Why am I living for these drop tests?! Lol!
It’s my fav part of the video
I'm so happy activa did so well I had it in my cart but I was still looking through reviews. I made the mistake of leaving my phone unlocked around a 4 year old who ultimately ending up buying it for me 😅. This video put my mind at ease. Awesome job!
Thank you! And glad everything worked out lol 😊
Thankyou for making this video!! Just what i was looking for! I will be trying out sculpey and activa for my sculptures!:)
I'm glad this was helpful!
Not mont marte with the “🥴” lol
Thank you for this. I’m definitely going to try out sculpey air dry clay
I had too 😂
You mentioned there are tricks to prevent warping. What are they?
I would love to know how Staedthler's Fimo Air Dry Clay holds up to what you've tested so far.

How would you go about making water colour palette. Please could you let me know. Thank you. God Bless from Montreal.
This video and the first one was awesome. Great job. I love these reviews and how you sciences the differences. Thank you.

Which clay do you think is best for candle holders and wouldn’t melt or something 😭 , also which one for trinket dishes ?

Actually gonna buy Mont Marte clay Soon
This tells me exactly what i needed to know. My choice based on your video was Sculpy, which happens to be in stock at my local Walmart.

Craftsmart shattered like my last nerve after a 15 hour road trip through multiple construction zones.
Thank you so much for these reviews!
🤣....thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video! So is creative paper clay better than sculpey? Or the other way around? thank you!

I'd actually really love to know your thoughts on your favorite two coats from here compared to your best picks from your previous clay video. ♡

Thanks for this. Very helpful. I wonder if the terracotta color behaves differently
Thorough review! Awesome
I really appreciate this video. You've saved me so much time and money. Thanks!

I’m wondering, which of these clays would carve well? I like to carve clay.

Thank you that was a really instructive video. New subbie

I've been wanting to try air dry clay, your videos have been very helpful. Not sure if I'll find one I like as I normally use polymer clay.
The one air dry clay that I have tried that feels closest to polymer clay is the sculpey air dry clay. Its also a really good clay, just softer than polymer.
Which one would you recommend Das or sculpey air dryclay
Both are amazing! If you want a softer clay go with sculpey & if you want one that’s more dense go with das.
What's best for say jewelry ?
This is so entertaining! Thank you.
Great tests! Have you tried the air dry clay from Dollar Tree?
I haven't just because I can never find it in stock whenever I go there.
Hi Ivett wonderful insight.thank you so much ..can you do a vidio on making faces on vases ❤
Yes, of course. I will add that to my list of videos to do :)
If you try das or creative paper clay in the test it may break somewhere in the drop test the smooth concrete
You did such a wonderful job ❤
Thank you!!!
Very helpful for me, thanks!
Have you tried Pott'd air dry clay?
No, I haven’t yet. But when I do I’ll make a video to let u guys know if it’s good or bad
Will you try Creative Paper Clay, Sculpey, and Activa Supreme?
I did try sculpey & activia supreme in this video
@@IvettDIY Yes. I was wondering if you can compare all the winners to for the ultimate winner. Das, Creative Paper Clay, Sculpey, and Activia Supreme?
This video really saved me a lot of money,I just found out sculpey made air dry
Good video great info
Great Information thank you!
Can you test terracotta air dry clay please 😭😭
Two great terracotta air dry clays are the Das terracotta air dry clay & the Jovi terracotta air dry clay. I find that they preform the same as the white versions. :)
In my country they only sell Mont Marte, probably because it's cheaper 😭 😭
oh nooo. I hope you get other options soon
Thank you!
So exciting😂😂😂
lol 😂
I bought Crafts Smart clay and it breaks really easily :'( literally the moment I hold it with a little bit of pressure it just breaks, I wish I saw this video before buying it 😢
I think Mont marte are not that good.
Cuz I bought it and I have straggle with this clay it's very sticky.
So yeah.
mont marte RUINED my whole project by making a big pot. And I got F. Never dare to buy mont marte, This is the worst and expensive on my region
Using Pepy right now. I do not smell any odor.
Activa is considered as stoneware clay
Lee Sarah Robinson Melissa Jackson Helen
Arts channel doesn't get so much views and revenue that much they work hard
Oh nooo i accidentally bought mont marte😢
You've mixed too much water in Mont marte clay, that's your fault, why blame clay? I've seen many using it, they got super soft n neat works! And you've given "not bad " label for the ones which got cracked, but Mont marte didn't got cracked
Chill. The clay was beyond sticky when I pulled it out of the package. I’ll never use it again.
How many times must you ay GUYS? Ugh
Definitely not enough
May be we will see and other more savage test of Creative Paperclay and Das from previous video vs Sculpey Air Dry and Activa Supreme from this video.
