Hey man, first of all thanks for all these guides! I've already learned a thing or two from them and I have a couple more to watch still! Secondly, though I'd like to ask something. I see in this video, as well as at least one previous guide, that you tend to only queue one or two technologies and productions and often start a turn to see either the technology queue or the production queue empty. Don't you miss out on the rest of the output for science and industry respectively that would've gone into the next item in the queue otherwise? Do you have a reason for doing that?
Industry and science are queued up and nothing is lost, even if you don't take a technology for a turn or two. While it will still take a turn to research, for example, a technology might take 0 turns, it will still only be processed next turn. In a normal game I typically don't do this it's just from redoing the same turns when I make a mistake recording lol. It takes a while to record even 30 seconds since I make a lot of mistakes.
@@theendlessspaceacademy Wait what? Really? Thanks for the swift reply and I getcha, but let me see if I get that right, since I might have misunderstood it all this time. So say you have 300 industry and the thing you're producing only needs 200 more to finish and you have nothing queued after that. Next turn starts and you queue a new thing. Does that mean that at the end of that turn the new thing you queued will get 400 industry? 300 from the turn in which you queued it and the 100 that was leftover from the previous turn?
Yea it queues the production or science if you miss it. I haven't tested not producing something for a few turns myself however. I know for a fact it saves the science, not sure about the production though.

It's better to use the essence to expand, the amount of pops aren't as important as claiming good systems. Plus you can fully grow a colony with the normal food buildings it just takes a bit, better not not waste the food.

I cant equip my hero in turn one to save his life did they change something its like 130 credits not 40ish
Are you using the ESG mod? It changes a lot of stuff about the game. Also this could be out of date.
@@theendlessspaceacademy I think its outdated, I've been playing Vodyani lately, and it changes a lot of stuff, upgrades and modifications on early ships are more expensive and they even changed science costs on a lot of techs
Not sure why but all of your stuff costs way less resources than my game shows. like the Ark is 300 essence vs 1200 on mine.
he's playing on fast game speed, that should be the reason
also arks become more expensive with each you have already built
Mine cost 1.600, it's exhausting
@@fpcoutinho From what I've read the Heretic skin Ark is cheaper than regular one. 1200 instead of 1600.

Now for real, I do know and already tested the Game Speed does affect the cost of the Arks, but it also affects the Vodyani food consumption
Like, the "slower" we set the game, the cheaper the Arks will be but the higher the food consumption will be
How exactly this works, that's why I'm trying to figure out as Vodyani are the most affected by "RNG" (starting position) as well as the Game Speed Setting...
Did you use the ESG mod it changes the cost of things. Also as you build more arcs the cost increases over time.
