I enjoyed your video. I know how to rig with these but somehow I forgot just how versatile this rigging is. I always think small swimbaits, but there's so much more. The one thing I find frustrating is how they offer the heavier weights predominantly on the largest hook size, when I don't find that's necessarily the gauge they should be using. I fish a lot of spinning with lighter braid to leader but these swimbait hooks do come with stout hooks that imo would require heavier # tests in order to set the hook without busting the lighter lines.
I forget so often that I have this stuff in the tackle bag and then realize later I should have thrown it. I agree with the stout hooks. I would like to a find a light wire hook with a smaller weight for flukes and smaller worms like a 7” curl tail. Glad you enjoyed the video.
To solve the problems you mentioned, Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp L111 series of medium wire belly-weighted hooks has a 1/4oz 3/0 (L11114G-3/0). I use it all the time with my 3.8" paddletail swimbaits (including in lily pads).
great intermediate punching rig!
Excellent suggestion 👍
