Nice to see you doing ok Dave and hope you’re feeling much better mate. You know I was talking to my friend yesterday trying to find a fault on my car we were moaning about the modern complexes of car electrics so it was really great to see someone doing something I actually understand ! great vid enjoyed it 👍
Take it easy Dave mate, nice to see you back at it though. I spent 3 weeks in hopsital this year, then told to go slow for a couple of months. Fair to say it sent me mad, not one for sitting around doing nothing.
Very happy to seeing you are progressing quickly. I completely understand what you are going through. Been fighting the "get well" game for the past three years. Just now feeling I am getting back up to speed. I have learned two things about vehicle wiring, One, take one wire/circuit at a time. Two, grounds are very important.
Great to see you on road to recovery. The reason car Companies use computers to switch lights / circuits . its the reduction in cross section of copper wires, using the CAN BUS system. It saves weight and money in using lighter cables with less copper. Over 1.5 million cars it's saving £ millions but at the expense of home mechanic, and also providing manufacturer servicing income!
I found that once you strip out the wiring that feeds the lights, theres not an awful lot left, especially the older you go, and then you can treat each circuit on its own merit.
@@martinblack5021 personally, I think building your own Mk1 Escort Road/rally car is about the best medication anyone could have. My second-ever car was a bubble arch Mk1 (back in ‘73 😁) so I’m looking forward to hopefully meeting Dave and his car at a show one day and shaking his hand.
Don't overdo it Dave, the car and your subscribers will still be here !!
