I was impressed by the fact that, like most tourists who come to Korea,
the tours did not take place in cities such as Seoul or Busan, but rather focused on rural areas close to nature on the outskirts.
This is a good video that shows another side of Korea.
Thank you
Thank you 🌷
Thanks for sharing this incredible video. God bless you and your trip.
32:23 that signs tell you the traffic situation nearby. green is good, yeallow is little traffic, red means traffic congestion.
32:31 u need rain check. you need to reduce your speed 20~50%.
I watched your whole footage about Korea and I felt we need to add English information to public signs.
I enjoyed staying in South Korea on and off around 2010.
I found it usable to understand the basics of Korean writing, but never got to a level where I could read and understand.
I was able to find the titles of English films at the cinema schedule, by decoding the sounds.
I was able to greet Korean colleagues, even if their name tag was only in Korean.
I was able to order food by name, looking at pictures, even if I didn't understand.
But because English was the business language between colleagues, I never learned many words.
Amazing nature, amazing architecture, amazing infrastructure, and most importantly, amazing people
As a Seoul guy who worked and lived at the island last year as a public health doctor for a year due to mandatory military service, I am quite surprised and pleased to watch your trip at the island😊 Thanks for the video
Thank you

South Korea 🇰🇷 is amazing, I was there on vacation in July 2023. --- The road side stations are huge indeed. I also agree how kind and nice are the people. Almost everywhere we went in Korea, and we ravelled 2000 km in 2 weeks, people were giving us extra water or fruit or sweets for free. I am sorry to see you were not able to visit the bamboo forest. It is otherworldly. I recommend it to anyone passing by if they can visit.
We managed to go to the bamboo forest in the next video 😉
I love how happy and positive you guys are. Really enjoying watching your travels.
Thanks
I was stationed in South Korea back in 1976 and it rained all most every day for 3 months
Relaxing, positive vibes background music.😊👍
That is a huge service station puts ours to shame in the uk, def what is meant by a rest stop !!
How nice of them to bring you food 👏👏
The weather can ruin plans whatever country your in 🤔☹️
You get some right idiots on the road, everyone can make a mistake and it never caused an accident so what’s their problem !!!
Back with Anna that will def bring a smile to your face 😀
On the highway, the sign (20%-50%) is advice to drive as slow as the sign when it rains. There is no compulsion
Thank you. I am enjoying your video.😊
There were dinosaur footprints on the sedimentary rock you walked on... and you can see them on the screen.
Never a dull day when we get a vid from you two. Keep finding all of these great places to see.
Keith.
Thanks Keith
Living in Kent our roads are often full of European drivers, I'm always extra patient with them on the roads. If they make a mistake (and they do) better to just let it go and be thankful no damage etc. I'd certainly wouldn't bother commenting on their YT page and saying I've called the cops, what a dick!
Korean name of the land shrips you called is '갯강구' (sea louse). ChaeseokKang is one of the famous spot in that region(Byeonsan peninsula). It was good choice~!
I'm enjoying your vlog with different point of view. Thank you for upload 😊
Thank you
Service station in Korea on the highway is the world best I've ever seen. Clean Convenient Compatible. Enjoy~~~
Korea has improved a lot. It is rare for British people to travel to Korea by car, and I am surprised and interested in it. I hope you finish your trip in good health.
Thank you
32:30 This means slowing down the maximum speed limit by 20-50% on rainy roads.
Why no use normal road signs
Red triangle, with a rainy cloud = warning rain
Red circle with "km/h" = speed limit, then " - 20-50%"
@@thorbjrnhellehaven5766 I think it's a recommendation like common sense rather than a hard law. Also that's why it's given in ranges of 20~30% because people drive at different speeds.
@@thorbjrnhellehaven5766cause no one keeps the speed limit
@@minami_kotori sure, I remember the the traffic flowing pretty fast, except rush hours. I remember preferring to live close to the worksite when I was at 거제시, while some coworkers had stronger preferences on where to stay, but spent spent quite a bit of time in traffic ever day.
I enjoyed my time there, but never got to learn the language, except some very basic understanding of sounds for 한글. Just enough to find the time English movies at the schedule, and guess the name of a dish at a restaurant, even if I didn't know what it was. And understand the name of Korean coworkers, even if their name tag was only 한글.
I would never understood the % on those signs, but probably take it slowly anyway.
11:39 That bug is 'sea slater' , korean name is '갯강구'
Those are isopods running around. They are commonly called sow bugs or pill bugs or woodlice or rolly pollies. They literally are land shrimps, since they are in the crustacean sub phylum.
@instadan_in_kyoto8102 Thank you for that information. I always like to learn. Still, they are a type of isopod and also crustaceans, so "land shrimp" is a reasonable description.
Those crawling creatures are called 갯강구(get gang goo) aka sea roach, which is not an insect but far relative of a crab or prawn. They are not harmful and sometimes fishermen use them as bait. They are cleaners of the beach. It is said that they are edible but the taste is awful and nobody eats them.
You've been to Gogunsan isl which is beautiful place
Have a safe trip
From Korea
2:53 It was the most popular rest stop about 10 years ago, and it had more than 12 million visitors a year. Now, it is about 8th place in the number of visitors.
If you ever come back to Korea, make sure to check out Jeju island. Beautiful island and great place for RV/Caravans
23:21 as a geologist I'd say the ground that you walked through should be slates formed within deformation process of fine-grained rocks such as claystone and sandstone so that's why they look like crumbles in close-up view. i send my regards from Turkiye to u and have good journeys in South Korea.
Thank you
I love traveling the world with you !
Have a wonderful day / week !
😊
Thank you! You too! 🌷
I am in New Jersey USA it does my soul Good to hear and see your travels.
Thanks for watching! And we are so delighted to hear that - we love sharing some good news 😉🚐🙌🌷
This is a real travel~
Those land shrimps felt it was the right thing to pop out and say, hi, as it would have been shellfish for them not to have done so 🦐
LOL
Really, these people are amazing ! really respect them in a completely unfamilier country with a different language and appearance!! really respect them! When you go back to your home contry, please live korea it is !!
5:34 Accurate. When a highway is built, a lot of compensation must be paid to surrounding areas, and in large cities, tunnels are sometimes built to reduce noise damage.
You were driving on the longest seawall in the world in Kunsan at 8:00 minute mark.
6:59 This is the Saemangeum seawall. It was created to carry out reclamation projects in the area within the seawall.
Wonderful video 🌹❤️🌹
Great video guys, stay safe and will wait and see what Ana has planned for you both, thats lovely that she gave you larger room🥰 Takecare Love Rose xx

Hi Chris and Marian
Having a fun and enjoy the amazing traveling in S.K
Keep going on the funny trip around world
Thanks! 😃
good evening in Seoul! I enjoyed watching it at the end of the day~ I'm very curious about the change!
Thank you - we love Korea 🌷🙌🚐🇬🇧
Thank you
I used to take a train from London to Cornwall to enjoy scenery - especially Indian ocean views and cliffs - marble cliff! Your video reminds me that I have to take more time to see lovely corner of my country. Lovely video and happy to see that you guys enjoyed trip here.
There were lots of rainy scenes during trip to Korea. Perhaps you traveled during the rainy season in Korea. Monsoon is from late June to early or mid-July. Please take note if you are traveling to Korea.
32:24 Since Korea's highways and national roads are very dense and have many detours, this is an electronic sign that tells you to detour to a place with less traffic. All roads are green, so you can take any road.
32:31 the sign says slow down at 20-50% of the speed limit on the wet road.
I am glad to meet you here.
You are amazing
I respect you. Especially driving is wonderful. That isn't easy things.
I live in Pohang.
How long will you stay in Korea?
I want recommend to you Tongdo Temple in Yangsan
Have a temple meal.
In Korea .The most
Beautiful places are located in the mountains .
I wish your happy time in here.
Thanks and welcome
Awesome video as always Chris and Marianne. Just one word Amazing simply Amazing.
Thank you 🌷
The geology of those islands are fascinating! I'm scanning the comments for Nick The Rock Guy's explanation, too! Always a magical place where the land & sea meet. ❤️❤️😎👍xx
Oh yes Nick the rock guy from Florida (who is Turkish) will be giving us the run down ... he always helps us know the cool stuff about rocks !! The land meets the sea ... just reading that makes me feel calm !! M xx
28:41 A very good choice! Daegu is in the southern region and has a basin type, so it is the region with the least snow and rain in Korea! Even if it rains, it stops quickly!
I guess you had to be somewhere in August. But, yeah, to all others, don't tour South Korea in August. Right from heat wave to monsoon rains.
Thank you
32:31 It means to reduce your speed by 20~50% because it is raining.
I love your channel guys. I only started watching you few weeks ago when you crossed from Japan to Korea. YOu are great at what you do. I follow many youtubers and you are one of the best ones. Cannot wait to see you back in action with Anna. I bet you will have a blast and she will cook some more of her amazing KOrean food. Sending lots of love from Guildford. Surrey. xx
Awesome! Thank you!

I could spend the day at that service station and be happy 😊. Great video guys, love the nature walk. Take care and travel safe.
Another great video!
Wow, the Korean countryside is beautiful.
Another great video! Thank you
So beautiful and blessed life!
You must go to Korea from Sep-Nov and April-June..well done both of you and good luck
I know what you mean about the ocean Marianne, I grew up near Whitby and the beach has always been my favourite place. I live in Portugal now and there is a little quiet beach I go to all summer, it is like a little paradise and I always get everything in perspective when I go there.
Fantastic !!
Whitby is MAGNIFICENT (same applies to York) but Korea, with it's friendly people as seen in these videos, is shown to be a good place to visit.
You have to be kidding me. The police most likely laughed in their face. IF the person is reading this you picked on a lovely kind couple. The people are lovely also. You give them them a bad name. I guess there is one in every country. Keep up the great work you two.
💕

I remember playing in rock pools on Vancouver Island, BC when I was a kid. We were reading Robinson Caruso so made the pools even more magical!
Oh fantastic !!

BTW, forgot to say that’s another amazing video and after watching this series, Korea has definitely moved up the list of places I’d like to go back to and explore further.
Awesome! Thank you!
Anna is really lovely, as it seems most of the South Korean people as well. Continued safe travels.❤️
I also love the sea and being by the sea. That bridge is amazing and what a fascinating country and I’d love to visit South Korea now. You two are great! Does the RHD van with British plates attract much attention or curiosity? Thanks for another lovely video on such as epic journey!
Hi - Yes, Trudy has a fan club all over the world LOL - she is covered with flags and stickers and gets lots of positive attention, I think that being older and 2wd she has impressed a lot of people who thought she couldn't make it this far 😉🚐🌷
I been at Isle Wight, very beautiful, in June

The beach walks looks amazing 2nd one looks similar to slate with the layers same about the rerouting it happens for a reason all I say
It does!
😊make good memories in S.KOREA. I cheer for your😊
Thank you so much 🚐🙌🌷
There would be always bad drivers on any roads. please don't mind. the driver might be jealous because of seeing you guys travel all around the world. you guys are doing amazing job. warm welcome to korea and hope you guys come back again :)

Thank you
I loved your trip around the island with the wooden walkway. What an amazing bridge to get out there, so long! And the guy who found you on UA-cam to hound you about being cut up - I hope he reads this next bit, sir, you are an a-hole!
That's hilarious that someone left you a comment on UA-cam that they called the police on your for cutting them off on accident. Cars cut each other off all the time, intentionally and unintentionally.
"Smile" they said, "things could be worse."
So I smiled and behold, things did get worse. 🤣🤣
Even when rained off, it's still good to see far flung parts of the world. Keep the wheels on the ground and turning. 😁
32:33 it says ""Drive at a 20-50% slower speed due to rain."
Go to JEJU Island, it is fabulous!!
I'm very impressed with your journey. I am so happy to see my hometown, Jeolla-provincial in this video. Stay safe and healthy until you finish your journey.
Thank you
