While deadlift i injured my lower back right in the middle I felt the pain .
But when I woke up next morning it was in the left side...it does not pain while sleeping or sitting in normal posture...it only feels while I try to bend or sit in bulded posture...
Is it a normal muscle injury or herniated disc ?
When I was skiing I hit a mound at high speed I came out both of my skis and landed on my head my neck was bent to my back and my legs folded over my head I found it difficult to breathe afterwards for about 2 minutes my neck and mid spine section were extremely sore and there is this stabbing/shooting pain in the middle back slightly to the left shoulder I go to the hospital
@@ayush8864 Did your back ever improve? How long did it take? I hurt mine deadlifting a month and a half ago. It’s not terrible anymore but still feel it in lower back if I bend wrong.
I have a little lower back pain, just once I got numbness in my left leg. So do I need to worry about it? Or can this be fixed. In 2022 I hurt my back during a 250 pound deadlift, my weight was around 150 pounds. When I go on long drives my back hurts but it's bearable.
I have had lower back pain for a few years. I’m only 34 but i hurt every day. the doctors / specialists I have seen seem to disagree as to what is causing my pain, the imaging they have done, they say actually looks pretty good, the years of constant pain have worn me down, i often wish I was no longer alive so I could escape the pain. I don’t wish this on my worst enemy
Are you overweight?

I have similar pain 😢imaging suggests arthritis but nothing that speaks to the pain I’m experiencing. It’s so frustrating !! Do you have any update?

I am 27 and I am so grateful to God that I wake up with no body pain. I’m pretty rough on my body and everyone says they start feeling old in their 30’s so I’m just holding on to the feeling of painlessness and cherishing it every day. I’m praying for healing, peace, and rest for all those struggling to manage their pain.
It's true! I was feeling like a million bucks at 29, but all that changed when I turned 31! Even the grey hairs started showing more lol. Enjoy your 20s while you can. But don't give up just because you get older. I bust my ass working out still and look better than I did at 29. I just feel the pain now lol.
I feel like I’m 60 at 19 lucky ass
Just wait homie! Just wait it will come upon you
@ My brother in law said the same thing! 😂 I promise I’ll come right back to this post and eat my words, Lord willing. I hear it’s the recovery that gets really tough and that it’s best to avoid pushing your physical limits as you get older. But also a stay active the best you can. I’ve been a life long swimmer which is a very low impact activity so I’ve got that going for me. I just have to be careful and not get cocky and pray I don’t get in any accidents. Oh well. Time doesn’t stop that’s for sure.
I was an athlete growing up played football, baseball, track hurdles, soccer, X-Military, street Basketball, did physical Labor in a way but always just working hard, lifted weights big time in the military especially, jumped off Tanks, ruck it with 100 pounds on my back, Former combat Engineer, I was a Huh Guys guy! I was invincible until my 50th birthday that’s when shit started going south on me! It’s hard to stretch because it hurts so damm much. So yeah prepare yourself for the Golden years! 😅😂
My job requires lifting all day a few months ago I developed low back pain which my company paid for an mri.The mri showed no bone problems but a strained psoas muscle. What i found interesting was when i was stressed out the pain would be there when i was calm & happy it wasn’t.Beware it sometimes could also be psychological.
I hurt my back about 16 years ago at work lifting up a forklift door trying to set it on the hinges. I heard a loud pop, I turned white and couldn't move. I went the the ER and the chiropractor. 3 X-rays and nothing showed up. I couldn't tie my shoes for months. I picked up a suitcase 9 days ago, and haven't been able to hardly move since, my lower back is absolutely killing me. I'm going to see a doctor and get an MRI this weekend.
they can't see the disc in an x-ray only in MRI
I’m going on 3 months and 6 chiropractic visits and still feel pain. I think it’s time I go into the dr.
Quiropractors are only temporary solutions
What did the doctor say
@@CrownVickGaming did X-ray and said they seen small shift in skeletal area but not anything drastic without a mri to determine more. My health insurance would not cover any of the mri due to wanting me to do physically thearpy. They wanted me to go 3-4 a week and with work and cost wasn’t able to. Dr ended up giving me a muscle relaxer and said to do lots of short stretches not trying to crack back and after a month it was better. Still feels a little soar at times but much better so I may have been lucky but I suggest see your dr to see what they determine for it could be a worse situation for others.
I'm going to keep up the tradition of asking for advice on the Internet lol. Just under a week ago I felt a twinge in my back doing nothing in particular other than walking around my house, thought nothing much of it and went to sleep only to find myself unable to get out of bed. Now, my bed is very firm as it's something I've been used to sleeping with some some time (it's a japanese floor mattress but with 1" memory foam just to take out any pressure spots).
In took me 35 minutes to get to an upright position and to the bathroom, at which point I got stuck on the toilet due to muscle agony in the back which pretty much spasming everything from hips to lower torso. It was horrendous. Had to essentially lower myself on the floor and crawl away to the sofa and hoist myself onto it.
I believe it's just muscle sprain. However the pain is immense whenever I try and move and I know some mobility is important so try and do very small stretches here and there and stand up.
I've managed to grab a walking stick that used to go hiking with and can hobble around the house but not use stairs in order to go to the bathroom but we are talking journeys which ends up taking 10-15 minutes unless I crawl which is faster.
Slowly running out of stockpiles of ibuprofen and switched to some Diclofenac gel in the medicine cabinet (taking care not to overdose of nsaids) but it's not working. I've also run out of groceries such as milk and eating whatever tinned stuff is left over. Similarly my bins are full and can't empty them so it's starting to look like a hobo camp.
I physically can't leave the house to get to the doctors and they don't do house calls anymore and feel really self conscious about calling for an ambulance and taxis won't transport injured people but pretty soon I'll run out of options.
The internet is full of wacky videos about fixing your back with this stretch or that but I can't even get my socks on or off without a fight. Can muscle injuries alone be so bad? Surely should have gotten some recovery even if it's only been a week. I keep hoping next time wake up that I can stand up and not undergo a crazy gymnastics routine, it's starting to pull on other muscles to compensate.

@@DrDavidGeier no worries! read disclaimer after posted.
things are going ok anyhow. managed to get someone to get some compresses and ice, emptied bins and even got a shave too. honestly I had no idea a strained muscle could be so debilitating or painful. with the aid of a stick and side of a table and can stand but pressure just caves in the lower part of the back if try to stay upright.
ice helps alot to take down the inflammation and heat out but understand it may take a couple weeks or more to start feeling better but at least have access also to fresh food again. yoghurts, nuts, berries and things that don't need me to stand and prepare.
what's driving me crazy is im a clean person who hates clutter, but if something lands of the floor then it's staying there. man I can't wait to be able to use the vacuum cleaner again lol
I will tune in! thanks for letting me ramble on your channel and I'll keep you updated on progress
I’m having this same problem. Tried lifting something and felt a pop. I was ok for an hour until I was getting ready to drive and something about my truck seat made everything worse. Took me 30 minutes to get out of my truck and get to the bed to lay down flat which helped initially. Now I have to drag myself like the dog from family guy or crawl. Using the restroom is almost impossible and is an hour long task of jumping on and off the seat. Can’t sit straight but sometimes I can stand in a certain way and move until I twist and the pain continues. Hoping you got better because I’m losing hope two days in.
@@MackDaddyPimpPlaya 2 weeks in and things are improving very very slowly, but improving nonetheless! Stay patient and don't over exert yourself but move wherever you can.
I can now walk about 400 yards and sit upright for about 30 minutes at a time. Which might not sound like a lot but after 2 weeks is an improvement on the scale of things.
Sorry you suffered a similar fate! Take care
Similar case. Lifted something heavy and felt a pop in the lower back. Didn't think much of it but 1 hour later I had to get off from work and go home to rest. Next day I could barely get up. It took me 20 minutes to put the socks on.
It's been a week since that happened and it's getting better. I can now walk and sit without trouble. It only hurts really bad when I bend over to pick something up so I try to avoid doing that. My doctor told me its a pulled muscle but I wanted to get an MRI anyway just to be sure its not a hernia.
i felt for 4 months some kind of pain and tense only in the morning when i woke up and only on the right side of my lower back, just somewhere below the last rib but quite next to the spine. After waking up and just walking around a little bit, the pain would disappear until i would go to sleep again and the same pain would kick again in the morning of the day after.
So, I did an x-ray and checked my right kidney but it resulted to be everything ok. Even the muscle tissiues showed no ruptures. Visually you could not see anything.
I did 2 relax massages, 2 sport massages, 5 times chiropractic adjustments, 1 hijama, 1 dry cupping therapy with dry needeling but nothing could solve the cause.
However, i noticed that it started to get better after time, so i continued to do stretching exercises of some of the deepest muscles in our back. After stretching my right QL and Psoas muslces it started to get even better, but it has only alleviated the pain and tense feeling. At the end i realized on my own that the problem might be linked to the diaphragm, ribs and those intercostural muscles. So i stretched them and this helped me to solve the problem at let's say 98% ..
It might be helpful to someone experiencing a similar problem as mine, to know that rib muscles can cause some sort of back pain at the level of TH12.
Please make a video for back muscles spasm
Thank you, Doctor. This was very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Doctor thank you very much , you helped me identify the problem
I'm glad to hear it.
Was unsure at first if it was a hip or lower back injury but last year around October I fell asleep in the living room with no blanket so it was cold as h with the AC pointed straight at me plus I might have slept in a bad position too causing me to wake up with this pain around my right lower back( or right hip joint?) that was triggered by nodding my head down and a certain extent of spine and hip flexion.
Ever since then, it became kind of chronic and came back after a lower body/legs sesh in the gym and it takes a week before going away, I've never had a record of having any sort of injury from leg days before and there was barely any weight increase in my lifts so my rep quality or form were pretty much the same, if anything I got 10-15kg weaker in my squats because of this injury that I think wasnt even caused by the lifting since the week before I started experiencing this I have not gotten into any accident of some sort nor lifted something too heavy off the ground, also havent done a legs sesh that week since I was at an outing, quite nothing that would cause this.
No choice but to stay away from movements that loads the spine for a while unfortunately....
Helpful information, thank you 👍
Glad it was helpful!
I have upper & lower back pain .... but my right arm will not stretch vertically straight up above my shoulder and head... it can only go so high...and I have pain that can shoot down from my bicep area near my elbow or can start in my elbow And go down the rest of my arm....it makes it painful to take T- shirts off & put them on.... whereas my left arm stretches normally straight up vertical....I do have a stretching strap to stretch my hamstrings it's very beneficial when I do this....But my arm is not getting better nor is my back.
Great information thanks you !

I have all but lost hope. They say fibromyalgia degenerative disk disease psoriatic arthritis.. I am in my mid 30’s and feel like I’m 80. Nobody takes my pain seriously, I don’t think I am describing it correctly. My back feels bruised all the time and swollen. Numbness in my right leg and arm. Thoracic spine primarily and neck pain along with lower back.. A life in pain is no life
I take your pain seriously 🥺🥺🥺im feeling exactly the same tonight. Bless you you poor thing😢😢😢
I´ve had back pain since I was a teenager but 2 doctors that saw me didn't know what caused it. I've had 3 severe pain episodes in my life. After my second serious episode, when I was 33 years old, a doctor found anterolisthesis on L5 and espondilosis between L5 and S1 with protrusion. It hurts on my right side mostly but never expanded to the leg. So until this day I still am not sure if it is muscular or nerve. Although it seems it is nerve cause the images show the injury. Now I have a mild pain most of the time, especially after being standing for too long or be seated for too long.
Ruptured my disc doing a deadlift in gym it's been three years and pain is still there slight decrease but not resolving, my advice don't do deadlifts or squats with big weights or you will regret it your whole life
I have been training for a 10k. I'm 58 years old. I was running every 3rd day to allow adequate rest, but doing weights the next day to build joint and muscle strength. I had a sudden pain in my lower back while starting a 5 mile run that stopped me instantly due to it seizing up. (I ran .25 miles when it struck, but had run 5 miles three days earlier with no problem). I think the jarring of running affected my back much like the jarring on a knee. Especially since two days prior I did squats. Can you please provide a video explaining how running affects the lower back and potential causes of severe lower back related to that, if that's even a thing? I had no idea a person could strain a back from running. By the way, the squats were only 100 lbs, which isn't typically an issue for me. However that may have created strain and I didn't realize it. Any educational stuff on the subject would be cool to see.
That's a great topic, and I'll try to make a video on it in the coming weeks. Thanks!
I have chronic sciatica and two years ago this horrible pain started along the right side of my spine and now it's my rib cage. It feels like the muscles are cramped up and twisting left or right is ALWAYS uncomfortable. It never lets up. Sleeping is not my friend anymore. I haven't gotten a good, painless nights sleep in two years. Some days I wake up and it's so painful I feel like a mummy waking up from a hundred year sleep 😅 my shoulders will hurt, too. I can't tell if it's a disk or what.. recently my neck has been hurting. I take Advil almost every day and this is not a way to live anymore. I'm very depressed. I am only 32 and I know it sounds dramatic, but I cannot imagine aging anymore with this pain. My goal this year is to solve this mystery. I need an MRI
I had the same issues the culprit was dehydration . After 3 liters of water I could stand up for 5 min . I couldn’t do it for 5 seconds before I started to re hydrate
I have this exact same issue. No idea what is going on. Its been about 4 weeks now and doesn't seem to get better at all over time. I hope you figure it out, if you do I hope you will tell me about it 😄

My lower back is always stiff. It's getting uncomfortable to sleep. I do sit down a lot. over the past year i'm getting more of a clicking sounds from certain back movements. But the lower back stiffness has been going on for years

I have recurring lumbar back pain that does not seem to radiate down the legs. I do moderate resistance training and recently had a flare up on the third day of a recovery period where I wasn’t lifting at all. Seems strange to occur then or is that common? Been suffering for a year now with upper back and lower back, it’s always tight sore sometimes sharp pains and just all round discomforting, I’m 24 years old and I was just drying my hair with a towel and then I felt this weak tingling shot up the side of my back in between my shoulder blade and out to my neck and arm, over the course of a year some things have gotten better but last few months my lower back especially is just so tight and sore seen every type of therapist but trying to figure out my next steps

@@utsavsheth3671 Oh no, at least your back pain has improved so thats good. So its been seven weeks for me, i over exerted myself at the gym and felt it a couple of hours later ugh. My issue started a couple of years ago with what I thought along with my doctor was a femoral nerve issue. It was on fire. It has been an issue off and on. I am 69 y/o male obese but quite active. No back pain but pain in the upper middle glute and across my quad and to the top of the shin causing me to limp and to stop sprinting on sand dunes. I went to hilot in Philippines who found a dime size knot in the top of my glute on that side (left) that has substantially improved much of the issue. But the limp continues and is almost not there when I get up but in an hour or so is very evident. Ideas? All of the leg pain is toward the inside of the leg. Lifting my leg when laying down and my quad (femoral nerve) will quiver)
Alslam alikum .. i was working and i was sitting then i turn my upper body to the left and rise a weight, then my back get suddenly super pain in lower back on the right side , the doctor said it's nothing but after 4 month i was helping cleaning the house and we left few weight the the same pain comes...is it disck or mus?

I was doing dead lifts and stopped right after my back started feeling weird. The next day I actually felt like my spine was tight and it was difficult to walk. I rested for 2 weeks and slowly gained normal function walking. However, 3 weeks out I feel tightness from the top part of my left glute to near my spine. I dont feel any sharp pain but when I run it stays in this area. I am able to do rigorous exercise without it ever being painful. Do I have a serious injury or am I just being paranoid?

I’m curious about what type of doctor I should see to get a better understanding on what I need to do for all my aches and pains. Example(s) I have poor posture, I am pretty sure I have a pinched nerve or something that causes my very low back to have burning or stinging sensation by the slightest touch, I am very tense and my lower back is always very tense and needs some sort of massage to relieve it and have more mobility, I have calluses on the metatarsal ball (I’m not sure if that is the correct term). Everything started going downhill pretty quickly just two days before I turned 40 and I am not living like this the rest of my life and I need to correct so many things. But where do I start? I’m a overall healthy person and have had all the labs to rule out any vitamin and hormone deficiency, my A1C is good, but I only have a vitamin D3 deficiency and I take supplements. So where do I start with finding the issues so I can start correcting them?

@@DrDavidGeier If I had a medical question, I would ask the physician I pay for care. I would never ask a random UA-cam doctor for medical advice. It’s illegal and disrespectful. If I had a rash, it’s very easy to tell someone to see a dermatologist. Asking what type of doctor I should seek is not medical advice. This is why I don’t subscribe to channels so quickly. I’m a busy mom and not going look through hundreds of videos to see if I can figure it out when it’s so simple to ask. Seeing the auto generated responses on others comments, I will pass on watching a livestream when the channel doesn’t even communicate with who supports them. Good luck 👍🏻

Same thing happened to me about 10 years ago. Felt a sharp pain in my low back down through my right testicle. Testicles pain went away after about a month but I still have lower back pain off and on for the past 10 years
Mine happens suddenly after playing pickleball. I felt it right away and it was sore until the next day and it was super painful in one area and upon palpation. Sounds like a muscle strain to me.
I got back pain and I can barely move it hurts when I try sitting down

I feel like modern medicine doesn't have a clue about many things that cause chronic pain and it just basically goes untreated correctly because doctors have no tools to fight it. Modern medicine can help you live longer, but it rarely gives a helping hand to live better. Research and investment go into things that can kill you, but stuff that leaves you feeling horribly and destroys your lifestyle but doesn't kill you? For your doctor, the healthcare institutions and the government you're not a serious patient worthy of real attention.
It's the way it is, I just hope everyone can cope with their problems, in the end we have to rely on our own bodies cause no one can help us.
I was doing weighed sit-ups and heard and felt a pop in my lower back. It felt like it was in the spine but I’m not sure.
Right after it only hurted slightly in and around the spine when I arched my back back and now (about 8 hours later) it’s a little worse but still pretty mild.
Could this be a disc injury and should I seek medical help?

What level is the herniation? One herniation wouldnt cause pain in several areas. Look up dermatomes chart.
First report shows herniation after several months another report shows L4 L5 disc-posterior disc bulge
@@Nick-rz8reso that could certainly cause sciatica type issues in leg. But nerves for hands finger dont run thru that level. Get a good physical therapist. I had same in my neck and good recovery.
Not on hand fingers but in foot thumb and left side of back pain

I have bulging disc in L5 S1. It is desiccated as well. It hadn’t bothered me for about a year and suddenly I’ve been over to pick up something small and I was in excruciating pain. I got an ultrasound only in the sacral region because the ultrasound tech wouldn’t look at my spine any further. She says I have a torn quadratus lumborum muscle. The area where she is pointing to the tear is the exact spot where I injured my back back 20 something years ago and I think the area that she thinks is a tear might be the old wound in that area. My Pain started out as a dull ache just right on my sacrum. Then it progressed to sciatic pain as well as pain in the sacrum. Is it possible that that old injury is showing up to look like a torn muscle when it really isn’t?if my muscle is torn, what exactly should I be doing besides resting? I walk a little bit between resting and that is all I do. I wasn’t given much aftercare instructions. Thank you and sorry for the long question.

Do you think it is the psoas muscle or can be a hernia at low back ?
