My poop is very unique and short supplied, in the sense that it contains my DNA. Since my DNA is unique, so is my poop. I also poop only once a day in a small amount since I don't eat much. Therefore my poop should be as expensive if not more expensive than white truffles.

No. It’s expensive not just because it’s rare but also people want it. Supply and demand, basic economics, mate. Truffles are delicious too. Your shit isn’t rare or delicious. You poop regularly and will continue to do so until you die like clockwork. Truffles are not guaranteed and depend on the environment. You will poo everyday for the rest of your life. Your DNA while unique to you has similarities to all your biological ancestors and progeny . Apples and oranges. For something to be rare in the market it needs to also be desirable. No one will ever care about your shit. And as statistics go you will live an average life with only those who know you personally will ever care about you. If you were a celebrity perhaps people would care, but there wouldn’t be much market to care, or in this case, give a shit.
Mushrooms aren't poop though, it grows in tendem with the tree roots and sometimes other fungus grows on truffles to feed off the truffle fungus.
Why is the ginger root so expensive right now? It Used to be like $.50 for a piece the of size your thumb or even bigger now it’s like six bucks.
Floods in China, is part of the cause.
We call in Arabic كمأة or فقع (in the Gulf region). It grows relatively abundantly in the desert after heavy autumn rains and is really expensive (price of 1 kg is 30-100 $). I never saw black truffles in real life as they don't grow here.
Desert truffle = tirfazia = ترفاس … it grows relatively more abundant than the European variety hence it being cheaper
I was 7 years living in Libya. White truffles are growing in the midle of Sahara desert near Mizdah. Libyan People said it growing under somekind of flower. But the Libyan keep the secret. Only local people knows what kind of flower. The Libyan hunting White Truffles in Spring time between end of January to mid February. When sandstorm season Gibli comes no more truffles cause the flower are gone due to the heat. White Truffles is about 40 Libyan Dinar a kilo. May be European will go crazy to see Libyan eat one portion of 100 - 150 gr White Truffle on eggs for breakfast, everyday during Truffles season. I did it every truffle season during my time in Tripoli.

I love black truffles . I always buying oil , salt , mayo, spices , flavored mushrooms, truffle in oil, different kind of cheese 🧀 with truffles, and many other things flavored with a black truffle or with pieces of truffle . ❤ Delicious!!!!
I know! My favourite cheese is pecorino with truffle.
I foolishly introduced my wife to truffle oil and she puts it on pizza, on steaks, or any pasta dish and even good bread.

They are like more intensively scented and flavoured mushrooms. They aren’t to everyone’s taste so you can buy less expensive mixtures (like a paste) in which they are combined with mushrooms if you want to see if you like them before spending a lot of cash. Mix a little into devilled eggs or into hot pasta, or on grilled bread brushed with olive oil. There are truffled olive oils too; many are made with artificial truffle flavours, but again if you just want to see if you like them. Nothing beats the real deal fresh. Had some black shaved onto pasta recently in Portugal and hope to do a truffle hunt in Italy this year. I’ve never had the opportunity to try white truffle. Good luck, hope you like them.

I've had truffles multiple times, and let me tell you. They were Ehhh. Completely overrated and underwhelming. I'd go so far as calling them overpriced and overhyped like dimonds. Yeah, those worthless lies.
