  • The plaintiff claims the defendant hit her parked car while she was backing into a spot, crushing her headlight and grille. The defendant said she’d pay for the repairs months ago, but the plaintiff is done waiting, and she’s suing for the repair costs. The defendant says she never touched the car and denies owing a thing.

      I dont know. Tell you what happened to me. I park my car on my driveway, the car parked on the left accussed me of damaging his car ( live on the same road but further down other side). Both him and his brother both came on my property and were expecting my car, I came outside and asked whats the problem. They said I hit the car. I had no damage on my car infact when the other brother tried to say he found the damage the other brother told him no thats old damage. He kept saying you hit my car. I said there is no way I would knowingly hit a car and drive off but ok fine so I kinda agreed. Then after he started quize me about insurance, do I have no claims is it protected? Then the brother tried to buy car off me. When I told my mum she was mad because there was major construction across the road trucks could have it him, and my car not the only black car on the road and people use our dropped kerb to make 3 point turns. When I told my friend she told me not to pay a penny he trying to scam you, see your young trying to bully you. Never heard anything. But he no longer parks near my driveway.

    Someone bumped into our parked car in a car park and they insisted that there was no damage as it hit the bumper. Hubby wouldn't leave at that so he took their details. When he went to the garage they found that the brackets holding the bumper on were broken so you can't always see the damage but he claimed on their insurance.

    • @disneyfan9099

      How can you prove that they broke the brackets? That’s hard to prove.

    • @synnove1046
      @synnove1046 7 місяців тому

      Yes! I was parked at a friend’s house when their next door neighbor backed into my bumper (it was a duplex with a shared driveway). They were so apologetic and offered to pay whatever it cost, but didn’t want to go through their insurance since it was such a small amount of damage but could raise their rates. I was going to get estimates because a piece of my trim came off. But I was busy and didn’t get around to it. It also seemed like such a small amount of damage , and my car already had a couple of other tiny dings (stuff I noticed after being in a parking lot but I had no idea who did it). So I eventually decided to just let it go - I thought the damage was cosmetic and barely noticeable, so I didn’t care that much, plus I knew that the other driver had financial difficulties. About 2 months later I was going into a carwash when the attendant stopped me and said he couldn’t be sure if it was safe for my car because of the damage to my front bumper. I was totally surprised because I hadn’t noticed anything other than that 1 pc. of trim that was knocked off, and I had checked my car several times during the first weeks after it happened. So I got out to see what he was referring to. The entire edge of that corner was detached from the car (right where the other car backed into me). It was only about 1/4” out but I could see that that the piece was plastic (fiberglass?) and that most of “teeth” that connected that edge of the bumper to the car were broken. It was obvious that it couldn’t be repaired, but needed replacement. I was able to push it back in most of the way but it didn’t stay there very long. I decided that I wasn’t going to ask the other guy to pay for anything because it was my fault for not getting it checked out in time. But I learned a valuable lesson: get estimates ASAP. That could’ve saved me a lot of money.

    That defendant is an air head. Who says they will pay for damage they didn’t cause? And ‘I was going to get to it’. And was a few months down the road & still hasn’t paid b/c she is a busy lady? I bet if her car was hit, she’d demand the money right away. I’m so tired of hearing that it’s ‘no big deal’ when someone hits another persons car. I’m sorry, but it’s their car & they shouldn’t have to drive around with scratches, dents or cracks in their car b/c of someone else’s carelessness.
    Edit: I’m wondering if that shrimp was worth $2,091+?!?!?!

    Just a theory- the lady said the man picked her up from work then they went to the restaurant- and the ither lady said he was drunk. WHAT IF- he was drunk and bumped into something as he was going to pick the lady up from work and she got in the car and didnt notice and then when she went in to the restaurant to go get food he waited outside and got the perfect opportunity when the lady came and parallel parked where it would match up to the damage he made on the car and then caused a scene saying she bumped into it so that he could pass the blame on to her. Bc like the judge said its enough damage to where u would have felt hitting the car. The defendant is very adamant that she didnt feel anything at all!!! So either shes just an out right liar or that man set it up??? And to be honest it didn’t seem like the plaintiff could give a direct answer when asked if the man was drunk- its yes or no not a “well i dont think so, he didnt seem like it i dont know” Just a theory tho. 🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows? Only the ppl standing there truly know
    But on another note if i really dodnt think i hit the car id be trying to get any video footage as well as call the cops and i sure as shit wouldnt agree to paying even if it was 1$.
