- The plaintiff says she used to date the defendant, who offered her a business deal. She claims he asked her to breed dogs with him, but then he refused to let her see the dog and won’t pay her back. She’s suing for pain and suffering. The defendant argues he and the plaintiff had a business arrangement and she backed out, so he refuses to pay. He’s countersuing for time wasted.

This case angers me. Our Molly is a rescue dog that was sought by her owners to turn her into a puppy mill. She had two litters we are aware of, as she lived two doors down prior to us rescuing her, but we suspect likely more.
One of the partners did a midnight run on the rent while the other was away working, left Molly (Her name was Princess at the time, ironic considering they treated her like anything but!) tied up, no food, no water in late July.
We took her in, via the next door neighbor that initially took her from the yard.
Fast forward 12 years, she is currently lying in bed watching dog videos on YT with my husband!
You really did an amazing thing saving the dog!
@@fruitymonkey8641 Absolutely, there is nothing wrong with individuals/families that conduct legitimate breeding, indeed our last Shepherd was from a woman that breed them, and he in turn was hired out to stud a batch of pups himself.
It just takes a lot of vigilance to weed out the undesirable ones from the legitimate ones, and that means the buyer also has to conduct their due diligence as well.
I 100% agree that irresponsible breeding is disgusting. Not all breeders are horrible. Some really love the dogs and care about the breed. These idiots are definitely not those types of breeders though.
I have a former bait dog. Scared of everything. Especially being outside tho after years of making him go, he loves the park when no other dogs are around. But hates doing his business during the day.

Our Molly is a very senior dog at this point, in fact we just purchased stairs for her to get in & out of our SUV, car rides are her favorite!
We know there are personalty disorders she developed due to the previous family, we are an animated family for example, that watch a lot of sports. If we start cheering or raise our voices, she either cowers or runs to another room. She hides food around the house (It is kind of adorable though watching her try to bury it!) because she never knew when her next meal would be, (Even though she now has a barrel butt and free eats), and we are sure other atrocities we don't allow ourselves to consider!
Rescue dog owners not only give, they receive in bucket loads, wish more people realized that!!

It's amazing how people feel entitled to other people's money, he just wanted a loan but knew he wouldn't get it so lied about being a business partner. She should've waited for him to make money and then sue for her parts. Anyone dealing with people like him should write a contract that states that they'll get x amount by x time whether he makes a profit or not. That way they can't cheat you

Per dog breeding... Most dog breeders dont have pets. They have dogs they train, take to competitions, win medals &ribbons that show the dog is of good quality stock for breeding. Hence why ethical breeders require a deposit on an unborn puppy, contracts for puppies, temperament tests, DNA & hip tests on parents and why puppies cost low end $1600 &high end $25-3500
My dogs cost a small fortune as they came from ethical breeders that did all the testing & then some. The dogs were not in cages, they were part of the family as it should be.
It's not *her* pet. But yes, I guess it's an investment that will be disposed of as soon as it's no longer profitable.

Ah, yes. Another back yard breeder for an "XL American Pit Bull", thats what we all need. If you're going to get into breeding, do your research before breeding back yard mutts. There's no such thing as a "XL/gator mouth/red/blue nose/etc pit bull".. reputable breeders don't profit from their puppies, and generally have long lines of working/show/game dogs and proof to show. Guy probably doesn't even do health testing for the sire/dam.

@@1stfeather when they say American vs German rottweiler they mean American bred vs German bred and if u do ur research there is absolutely a difference in them...same with American bred vs English bred labs and retrievers as well as American vs German bred German shepherds...they r the same breed but American bred is definitely not as healthy...also a huge difference between show bred and working bred...even their appearance is different

I think the saddest thing about this is him referring to the dog as “not a pet, it’s an investment “. That poor pup. Also, I’m sure everyone is sick of hearing it but I’m gonna say it anyways, please adopt, so many animals in shelters need homes. Most of them being pit bulls. An adopted animals love is something special.
I can't imagine paying that much for dog or cat. But I agree that getting an animal from shelter is much better. Its where I've gotten all my cats.
I adopted a 17-month-old Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dog about 6 weeks ago and he is just perfect, as have been all my rescues. His approach to me is simple: "thank you mummy, I love you mummy, mummy thank you". Everyone tells me what a happy puppy he is, and I could not be happier. He brings us so much happiness every day that I can't really say I "rescued" him -- rather, we found each other!
I adopted a chihuahua from my local shelter in 2003 he had to be put down in 2019, but he was the greatest little dog ever 😥
They don't get dogs that need to be rehomed because the shelter requires the dogs to be neutered or spayed and chipped. They just want the dog for breeding purposes only and that's a shame to use an animal for that only. It lessen the life of a female animal.
