**THERE ARE LITERALLY NO WORDS IN MY ENGLISH VOCABULARY, THAT CAN DESCRIBE THIS GROUP!!!** ❣ I have also come to the conclusion, that Mitch is an Alien, from the planet of WTF 🙃 😊🙃 I truly love how Pentatonix will put their own spin on a song, yet still manage to keep the integrity & respect the original artist.
The crazy thing about this video is it was produced for only about $400. They recorded the audio in a closet, the individual videos in Avi/Kevin's apartment kitchen with a couple ring lights, and had it professionally edited to make this final product. These people are insane lol
This goes beyond a simple medley, which is just a series of songs strung together in an artful manner. Here they have that element of stringing the songs together but then they go next level and overlay the songs on top of one another. I would call that more of a mash-up than a medley. Either way Pentatonix is a master of both forms. Their arrangements are brilliant and their vocals, of course, are amazing as always.
Thanks for reacting to this! A Pentatonix video that I love, that I don't see requested much, is their cover "Attention." It uses a similar video style to Daft Punk, and it spreads the spotlight pretty evenly among all of them -- Scott, Mitch, and Kirstin take successive sections of the tune, Kevin sticks to percussion but is a star visually, and Matt practically steals the show with his bouncy bass line and sly facial expressions.
Kevin (beatboxer) is a genius. He plays the cello, too...and to top it off, he has a beautiful voice. He may be my current favorite, but that changes, too. What an amazing group!!!!!
If you haven’t reacted to their rendition of Mary Did you Know or O Come all Ye Faithful, you should jump right on that because I think you would thoroughly enjoy them❣️
Hey Mike - got kinda giddy when I saw this notification. Another great reaction thank you. Looking forward to seeing lots more Ptx and Home Free to feed my addiction :)
Home Free is the A Capella group that won the Sing Off season 4, and they are very good friends with Pentatonix. Home Free's cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow" is very very very good. Home Free released a video a few months back singing "God Bless the USA" and they sang it with the original writer of that song, Lee Greenwood, and US Navy's Singing Sergents. There is even a behind the scenes for that video.
Other Pentaholics will tell you all about how this was done and where, but you can actually view several live performances of Daft Punk...there is even one that they actually performed impromptu OFF MIC...amazing.!! You should do "Bohemian Rhapsody" as it will blow your mind, and you will probably think they added instruments, but they did NOT...all voices !!
pentatonix is THE acapella group now. There are so many choices u could react to. some originals are love again, sing, happy now.....as far as covers...there are so many...all won't disappoint....some choices could be....bohemian rhapsody (the finest cover of that song)..imagine, royals, the wizard of ahhhs ( a montage of 16 songs made to tell the classic story of wizard of oz)...sounds of silence, off their home album which was recorded in their own separate homes separately and mixed...home, blinding lights, break my heart, when the partys over, dreams... they've won 3 grammys..1 for daft punk...and 2 others..jolene with dolly parton and dance of the sugar plum fairies. I'll be looking forward to more reactions from u from pentatonix.
PTX never disappoints. Grammy for this! Tho i think you would more so enjoy another Grammy they won for Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Yes, a song with no lyrics performed with no instruments! It’s amazing! Also Mary Did You Know is spectacular as is this one take of Silent Night. ua-cam.com/video/sme8N2pzRx8/v-deo.html
I’d like to recommend the following Pentatonix videos (some of my favorites) for you to react to: Say Something, Gold, Havana, and the Wizard of Ahhhs by Todrick Hall featuring Pentatonix.
I'm so upset bc I accidentally deleted my email from youtube so I have to start all over. Loved the reaction. They have an off mic performance of this of you want to see it.
Well, Kevin does have an entire invisible drum kit. No, I'm not joking. Any video that shows the whole group sitting down, and remains focused on the group rather than individual singers, watch Kevin. He'll reach out with an invisible drum stick to hit, say, an invisible snare drum, and you'll hear a snare drum. You know the sound is coming directly from him, but _he just hit a snare drum,_ so how can it be? It quickly becomes surreal. I love Kevin - he can make me see the instruments that aren't there.
liked and subscribed, great reaction videos!! two members of ptx ( Mitch and Scott) have a side you tube channel called Superfruit and they do medleys from artists like Rihanna , Beyonce , Gaga etc , my favorites are "Beyonce" Medley and Rihanna Anti Medley i think you would enjoy their vocals as much as i did
It's funny, out of all of the reactions I have seen to this video, you are the only person that didn't move to beat like you just couldn't feel it. Good comments though.
With this song they won the first of three Grammy Awards.
The "synthesizer" was Avi.

If I remember correctly they said it was edited on Avi's Mac.
the guy doing the synthesizer sound was Avi (the bearded guy.) He can do 'overtone singing,' and that's how he's able to make sounds like that.
the bass avi , long hair and beard is the one making that sound

Their O Come All Ye Faithful done in the church is so fantastic that I listen to it all year long. 👍🏻
Kevin (beatboxer) is a genius. He plays the cello, too...and to top it off, he has a beautiful voice. He may be my current favorite, but that changes, too. What an amazing group!!!!!
This was their 1st Grammy!! Love them!
If you haven’t reacted to their rendition of Mary Did you Know or O Come all Ye Faithful, you should jump right on that because I think you would thoroughly enjoy them❣️
Yes Yes Yes! I recommend both! I love the Reggae vibe to O Come All Ye Faithful And Mary Did You Know is phenomenal! Do it Please! Thanks!
I believe he tried Chris, but it got blocked - it's one of my favourites too
Hey Mike - got kinda giddy when I saw this notification. Another great reaction thank you. Looking forward to seeing lots more Ptx and Home Free to feed my addiction :)
Speaking of awards, they got a Grammy for this one. May I recommend LOVE AGAIN and BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY? Those are my 2 favorites.

I like how he refers to kevin as “the drummer” lol
