Thanks again Skylite. Your full flight videos got me through a very difficult 2024. I was always happy to get home and lose myself in the sounds and visuals of these videos. Looking forward to more awesome flights this year.
I'm glad they were able to help you through those times my friend! Plenty more on the way! I'm writing this reply right now from Princess Juliana International Airport in the Caribbean. So if that gives you and idea of what's to come 😃.
Absolutely beautiful sharing adventure travel trip reports and gorgeous stunning arrangements captured camera work ! .. and another spectacular beautiful shooting lovely piece of work ! .. TQSM ! ..
A beautiful plane indeed. Alaska now has four (i think) planes painted in variations of this livery. And I believe it was designed by a couple of their employees who previously served, so that's cool too.
Great video. This one took me home! I've taken this flight in both directions many times. It never gets old. Awesome views of the Tanana Valley, Fort Wainwright, and greater Fairbanks. I like the 20R landings at FAI. I don't ever remember going that far north of a 20R landing though.
Then I guess I got lucky haha. There are many airports in the US where I'm very familiar with all the approaches and such. Fairbanks is not one of them haha. So I wouldn't have been able to tell you if this was normal or not. So, that insight is quite welcome my friend. Thanks for watching!
Interesting that this particular aircraft has only worn special liveries. It came out of the factory with the "lei" on the tail to mark the then-new Hawaii services. In 2013, it was painted into the Disney "Cars" livery. It received its current look in 2019.
I just got back from treating my GF to B-Day lunch, and now, I'm watching your latest video. Yep, I've booked a LOT of people on this city pair leg (and the reverse) when I worked for the small cruise ship company that did cruises in SE AK and also did the Gray Line of AK tours to Denali. I would make their bookings on the Apollo. I was happy when they switch over to Sabre. Between you and me, I like Sabre more than Apollo. And Sabre's help feature is absolutely quantum light years ahead of what Apollo's got. And if I STILL wasn't able to find what I needed, which DID happen, I would go on the chat with one of the Sabre techs, and he told me exactly what I needed to know, no muss, no fuss. I would also book people form all over the place to and from AK. I'll tell you, I got jet lagged just BOOKING some of those itineraries! I had an almost 100% success rate in making it so parties coming from different places would meet each other at the connecting airports. If anyone had a long layover somewhere, I would make a note in the booking history explaining why I ended up having to do it so their questions would be answered even if I weren't in the office. Well, anyhow, I'm watching today General Hospital... good views of Fairbanks coming in... another fine video on your part. And if you DO go thru a wormhole to a distant galaxy, be sure to record it all.
That would be neither of those haha. I hold the camera by hand to ensure I get the smoothest, best possible quality video possible. Using a mount or forcing the camera in the window not only limits the field of view, but it also transfers tons of vibrations into the lens of the camera. This often distorts and warps the footage. Holding the camera by hand is the best way to eliminate this issue.
@@sla31 thats impressive to be honest, having that incredible stability of your hand to be able to record footage like this for such long flights 🫡 I can't even hold my phone still XD
Well, as @tmead2021 mentioned, it's mostly funded now by the ad revenues I get from UA-cam views and the support i get from Patreon and channel members. Before that, I funded it all out of my own pocket and disposable income. So I appreciate everyone who takes the time to watch. It really is what helps me continue to make new videos on a regular basis.

Love the special logo on that aircraft - that was super nice of Alaska Airlines to do that. 👍

Great video have you ever wondered the Southwest Airlines is doing away with open seating that means passengers will get an assigned seat in 2025
how did you keep the phone still for the entire flight? do you use a stand or jam it between the window glass and the window shade or something else?

@@sla31 I see, so how exactly do u maintain it at the same position for the whole flight
12+ years of weekly practice.

58:43 - this looks a lot like the American Midwest!
I wasn’t sure if they had an 800 in that livery. I need to go find it for the pmdg in Msfs lol
There's this, the MAX 8, the -900ER, and a Horizon E175 all with this livery. I'm waiting to see if they will do a MAX 9.
Bitte immer den Zielflughafen mit angeben. Viele Grüße aus Deutschland 🇩🇪
