    Gutted for you John. Hope you recover soon. Your videos have been my biggest source of motivation (and entertainment) in years. Top tips sounds great. Enjoyed your "What I take" video. Wishing you a speedy recovery 👍p.s. CWT over Pennine Way for me, but either would be a great achievement!

    Great video John regardless of the outcome, any run is a good run. Gutted for you, nowt worse than an injury mid run, but you kept positive. Keep posting great videos, they motivating and a great watch. Tips and gear reviews sound great I'll be watching out for you.

    This is the part of the route im most familiar with having regularly holidayed around Ullswater since I was a kid. Was pretty shocked hearing you at the start say this was quite an uninspiring looking section. Glad to see it changed your mind.
    If you fancy another nice run in that area, the Silverpoint Trail on the other side of Ullswater is great. Pooley Bridge to Glenridding almost entirely off road. Just over 10 miles with a good bit of elevation and opportunities to tack on more if you feel like it. And you can always get the boat back if you don't fancy an out and back.
    Oh and it's pronounced Air-ra Force.

    Gutted for you John! Still a great video and I wish you a speedy recovery from the Achilles injury. Had the same issue last year and after a couple of weeks off followed by a gradual return to running I was back better than ever so fingers crossed for you

    Ahhh John! We were wondering where you'd got to but not great you've been out with injury :( And not great it's reared up again doing this. On a small plus side, you enjoyed the route that you did get to do and considering you thought it was going to be rubbish i'd take that :) Rest up and see you back out doing your thing when you're healed.

    Sorry about the ‘niggles’ but give yourself time to recover, frustrating though it is… I’m an ‘old fart’ now at approaching 65 and injured my Achilles last Nov (ironically just doing PR tourism while in Florida) but by taking things slowly with some good physio treatment was still able to complete the Lakeland 50 this year 👍

    Take time off. Don’t mess with Achilles pain otherwise a nice grey boot awaits 🤣. CWT plans sound awesome. I told you that was on my bucket list more than a bit jealous. That route is not boring. Gobarrow fell views over Ullswater are just fabulous (weather permitting). Have you thought about just walking/hiking the rest. No shame in that. Shows how fit and prepped you need to be to complete the Lakeland100. Next up ~ Top car parks in the Lakes featuring HighRow/Dockray 😂😂😂

    Thanks for another awesome video. Sorry about your injury and hope you recover soon.
    The format of your videos is excellent - great footage, beautiful scenery, informative(especially the LL100 recces) and you also add a very humbling human element to your videos which is rare in the world of You Tube channels. Keep it up!

    I reckon you would remedy your "tripping up" on your words,if you cut your carbs and want on high fat keto diet.
    I believe the carb diet of most runners causes inflammation and contributes to most injuries.

    • @lakelandtrailrunner
      @lakelandtrailrunner  Рік тому

      It’s an interesting point mate I’ll definitely do some research on it. I steer clear of seed oil products due to inflammation already 👌🏻

      I know the feeling. I've only managed to do a couple of fell runs but love the sense of freedom you get. Tricky for me as I live in a very flat, coastal part of the country so I can't really train for the mountains making it difficult to commit to a run rather than walk when I manage to get up to the Lakes.

    • @jamstaa69
      @jamstaa69 Рік тому +1

      @@djrensk same here in Essex.. I've got UTS next month, and I'm relying on local hill runs and full incline treadmill sessions to acclimatise my legs.. for accents and descents I know I can't replicate. 😂
