@@morganfarlie Cannot wait your documentary. Agree there is lot to discuss, there is not much about this period (96-97). For example, i don't buy this theory that he was just forced to do last Death LP by record company. I think it was much more complicated and Chuck himself wasn't sure about his next steps at that time. e.g on Sound reissue you can find four demos from that era, just one sung by clean vocals, the other three typical harsh Death vocals.. if he was really done with Death, why he was recording demos in Death vocal style at that time? Also i read in one interview, that Fragile art of existence was originally title for next Death album, he came with this title yet on Symbolic tour..etc, lot of staff to discuss

Chuck, Gene, Bobby…. And I can’t tell if that’s Kelly on bass. It’s 1995. So it’s probably Kelly. Not sure if Steve was doing any live shows with them at this time. And it seems too early for Scott - Wikipedia says he didn’t join until 1997, I doubt he was doing shows at the time. Maybe someone more informed can let me know. Also, I’m only two songs in. Maybe Chuck introduces all the members later in the set. But regardless WHICH bassist it is, that’s one fuck of a lineup. But I could be biased as “Symbolic” is my favourite Death album.

@@morganfarlie thanks for your effort and upload, contributing in retaining the legacy of Death !
@@AsphyxGr I am humbled by your compliment, to be in even one millionth of a percent connected to Death and the preservation of their legacy is mind boggling.
Thank you.
@@morganfarlie we all are part of this in a way but audiovisual representation gets an extra credit. For instance for showing to newer generations. Cheers !
@@AsphyxGr I didn't REALLY consider that, but updating a band that wasn't in the HD era is pretty important!
Thanks again!
Chuck and Tom araya have to be the most polite and wholesome people in metal ever. I've never seen anyone say thank you after every single song
Right!? I REALLY enjoy that about them. Just GRATEFUL
Look at Gene straight vibing on the drums around 5:27 him and Sean Reinert are amazing on drums and were actually the 2 among a few others who truly showed me the skills it takes to drum....because I'm a guitarist and wasnt a big drummer fan until I heard them!!
DITTO for me and Richard Christy. Chuck had a run of 3 of the most impressive drummers to ever pick up the sticks! Thanks for watching!
Recuerdo este video que me descargué de internet y tuve que Descargar otro programa para aclarar la imagen y se veía tal cual aquellos años y ahora veo este vídeo en UA-cam qué increíble la verdad Gracias por compartirlo

You and me both! This was an EXCELLENT performance.
It's because all of them are good

Not easy to play a Masvidal solo and make it better. Props to Bobby on Flattening especially
Bobby is quickly becoming my favorite Death second guitarist.
Thanks for watching!
I can t even imagine this level of technique back than in 95. ABSURD!
Death RULES! I continually admire the symbiosis of technique and focus with this band!
Thanks for commenting and watching!
@@morganfarlie You´re welcome, Morgan. I´m 44 and play drums, bass and guitar. I can "understand" what´s being played, but I can´t play them all. They´re at a higher level, even back than.

Chuck was one in a billion. He was such a special person with something profound to communicate through his music and words. “Should we not prepare for the uncertain mysteries of our lives of our destinies…”
I UTTERLY agree, I'm working on a documentary about his 1995-1997 period creating Control Denied and the missing second album. There is MUCH to discuss and I'm glad you've realized this too.
Thank you so much for watching!
@@lukassedlacek8308 you're touching on a LOT of what I want to discuss and it is so important to reveal. Stay tuned, still working on that and many other things. I appreciate you waiting so patiently!

As a guitarist these songs have helped me go from intermediate to the higher end of advanced, thank you Chuck for these musical masterpieces
I too have been playing guitar for 25 years and can confirm that Death ABSOLUTELY levelled up my playing. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Now try some Archspire
@@cdula26 Archspire is an INCREDIBLY impressive band! They will certainly level up your guitar skill!
Absolutely love the small tweaks they made to Spiritual Healing here compared to the album. The double bass all the way through the solo really adds another layer of intensity and the latter half of the solo is so epic too
This whole show is a masterwork in showmanship, power, clarity and just a hint of improvement :D

A trademark of Death's sound, I'm just happy to draw it out!

Amazing Sound 1995
Well, that's the thing, I remastered what was a pretty okay sounding recording to make it sound even BETTER! And I'm so glad I did so!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I believe it was Brian Benson you're seeing there. Kelly recorded the bass parts that Steve laid out before going to the birth of his first kiddo!
@@morganfarlie It's Brian Benson. Kelly didn't play with a pick

Underrated hell never! They inspired so many other bands Chuck is Death and Death is a leyend

@@morganfarlie 🤘🤘🤘❤
I saw them on this tour in the summer of 95 and it's the fondest memory of my youth. What an incredible show it was. It was really special to have this genius playing few feet in front of me. I usually took a lot of drugs like LSD in shows back then but Death, I wanted to be sober to enjoy it to the max and have a clear memory of it. Damn, I miss him and his band.
Seeing concerts while tripping can be so fun, but MAN, I COMPLETELY understand the desire to be sober for Death!

Gene wearing those shades while playing the skins is beyond brutal. Chuck goes without saying lol I’m 40 now and as a musician/artist, I’ll always idolize that man. Chuck changed lives with his music, and considering it was pioneering Death Metal, that’s really saying something. My Symbolic logo tattoo tingles when I hear shows like this one! Hey, I couldn't agree more! I think Gene is one of the most important METAL drummers of all time and he has always oozed cool and played VERY often with his shades on.

iirc some musicians wear shades due to stage fright, it’s easier to focus on the task at hand instead of getting distracted looking at the 1000 eyes in the crowd.
