  • Recorded some sights of downtown Nashville, and inside the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. I got a little hammered at night and forgot to film. :)

At 2:45 my wife used to work right there in an office at Printer's Alley. She currently works in the Pinnacle building right next to that pedestrian bridge you crossed. The big rectangular glass building. My office is farther west of town and we live about 20 minutes NW of town off of I-24.
Did you notice that the windows in the Country Music Hall of Fame are designed as piano keys?
Hope you enjoyed our city! We love it here in Nashville! The city went through a revitalization in the late 1990s. Prior... it was running down but you'll see all kinds of new construction going up now and most existing buildings around downtown received face lifts in recent years. It's also a place where you can walk around alone at night in the city and you are unlikely to have anything to worry about.
If you haven't left yet you might want to try some hot chicken if you like spicy food. Hattie B's is famous for it.

Hi. I am curious what you liked and disliked about Nashville. Every place has its good and bad points. Here in Prescott, Arizona a dislike would be a decent job market to work with and a population that leans towards the older retired crowd. We are just now starting to see more homeless people in the area, more so than in the past several years. As for what I like about my area is the climate. Winter season is mild as are the summers. We are somewhat more free than certainly southern California where I am from. I think we tend to be somewhat RV friendly here. Many RVers are starting to show up now.

No shortage of places to get hammered in Nashville. The 'bar crawl' is a favorite activity there. I grew up next to Nashville. Lots of entertainment. But you missed the 40 ft "Naked Statue".(aka Musica, but no one knows it by that name.) In all its anatomically correct glory. It has been quite the controversy here. It is suppose to be an art sculpture, but most here, just have fun with it. Like dressing the naked dancers for different special occasions. The first time was on St Patricks day a few years ago, when Nashville woke up to the dancers in the statue wearing Irish attire. No one seem to know who did it. LOL now it gets dressed for different occasions. The rest of the time, they are just naked dancers. Gotta love the fun loving folks of Nashville. Great job, Eric

beer is cheaper than gas, so to speak, 12-15 beers is like 5-8 bucks, driving that van will suck up 8 bucks in an hour or so. i haven't had less than 6 beers in a day for the last 34 years, never missed a day, and called in sick once in those 30+ years, i have a better attendance record than 99% of tee-totalers...

Todd Lynn yeah, i can get Busch beer for $12.50 for 30 cans, Eric drinks that, you can do the math. my watch says that works out to $4.99 for a 12 pack, but my watch is smarter than most people. :-P

Eric, if you plan on going back downtown, the best/cheapest places to park are: Metro Courthouse, $3.00 on James Robertson Pkwy. Also, the Downtown Library, 6th or 7th Ave. North and Church St, $4.00. Last, Music City Central, 413 4th Ave. North. See the Arcade on 4th Ave. Come a little east to Briley Pkwy. and see the Opryland Hotel, it's beautiful! Enjoy your visit!

Ahh, home, my neck of the woods. Okay man. Hopkinsville, KY. The place is called Ferrell's Snappy Service. Go just before our just after lunch or you'll be eating your burger on the curb. You'll see what I mean when you get there. This would be something special for my girlfriend if you'd do this. She grew up eating those burgers and hot dog sandwiches. The Chile is really good too. If BBQ is something you want. Knockum Hill BBQ is the place to go. It's in Herndon, KY. And everything on the menu it's good. Kathy's Cafe in Indian Mound, TN has AWESOME good too. It's on HWY 79. All three are within an hour of reach other. Enjoy, I hope.

I was looking to UA-cam and seen where you could hook up 2 alternators on a van. one to for the engine battery. And one for the deep cycle Batteries. That may be something to look into for your van. You could be charging the Batteries anytime you run the engine.

There is a lot of that but it's really localized to a few square blocks downtown. The locals like myself have other places we go to avoid all that mess. Neat to see on rare occasion but I honestly hardly ever go to downtown.
We have a lot of famous people living here but you generally won't see them anywhere around downtown Nashville. They'll be found out in Franklin, Brentwood, and Cool Springs more often than not. The locals here never seem to harass them and you won't find paparazzi stalking them.
We used to live right by Johnny Cash's house (the one that burned down) and we had several Oak Ridge Boys living around us, Marty Stewart was just a short walk from our house. I always liked how everyone blends together in this city. My daughter is a full time college student and she said that as a part time waitress she served Reba McEntire on a few occasions and that she was very sweet and polite. This was not at a fancy joint either... just a typical chain steakhouse that Reba really seems to like to frequent when she is in town.

Now I'm not one to comment on your diet, but if it were me.... Local BBQ is the way to go... But that's me... I live on Long Island and we have some of the best food available...Italian,seafood,steak, and Pizza, we have NO real BBQ, that's why I would have taken advantage of it. Your comments please.

Eric, have you ever checked out City Pass? I check before I go to a city to see what they have to offer. You can get into a lot of museums, tourist traps, and sum such things for a pretty decent amount...

DrNephilim666 He could crack the windows, turn the Fantastic Fan on...Park in the shade. Even without a pet, we will pick out a parking spot in the shade if possible. Also know which way the sun will be moving to catch continued shade. If you noticed the day was rather overcast. Like Eric said in a earlier video, cracking the front windows and running the Fan will suck air thru the van.

you ought to come on down to the metro ATL area and park at my place a couple days so you can get some polyurethane on that wood. It would look great.

I know the van is new and still fun but what would you say the prose and cons are between the van and the camper. That would be a cool vid I think. Love your vids keep them coming be safe and have fun.

I don't know if you've done this already, but you should pick a couple of locations and have fans vote on where you go next.

How are your batteries holding up with fridge? Also, I prefer colder temp for my drinks, I try to keep them around 33 degrees.
