Hi, I have ground floor where mount is central unit evohome pairing with OpenTherm bridge R8810. I want mount T87RF on first floor as remote temperature sensor only which will display 1st floor temperature on evohome unit. Is possibile without pairing T87RF to OpenTherm bridge and HR92?
I have a evohome system with a ATF600 base unit. The lounge consisting of 2 radiators bound to HF92 rad valves on each rad. I am trying to use a single zone T87RF to control both rad valves. I am struggling to find instructions to do this. Some say that the HF92’s need to be unbound some indicate just bind the T87RF to the controller and it will work. Can you advise me the correct procedure to ensure the T87RF single zone thermostat controls both rad valves.
Hi, did you manage to figure this out as I am trying to do similar but with a single zone and without success? I have bound the Y87RF as the remote sensor for the HR92 zone in question (HR92 already bound and setup) and it shows success on the Evotouch but it still uses the HR92 as the temperature sensor - displaying whatever is shown on the HR92 in both the app and Evotouch, rather than the room temperature shown on the Y87RF, which is always lower than the HR92, hence why I want the Y87 as the temperature sensor. What's even more confusing is when I turn the Y87RF it will actually change the setpoint to whatever I select and this is then shown on Evotouch and the app, so it's definitely connected. Talk about confused!
Great instructions. I need to get one of these controllers in my kitchen to control a motorised zone valve to operate a plinth heater. I have a wireless interface. Can the y87 control the zone valve and still be controlled by the main unit?
The single zone thermostat can be directly bound to a bdr91, which can be in turn be connected to a zone valve. Alternatively the single zone thermostat and the bdr 91 can be bound to an Evohome base controller for a more complex installation, again the bdr91 is connected to the zone valve. The zone valve switch contact is then used to call for heat from the boiler. The single zone thermostat kit should come with a bdr91.
Hello, is it possible to connect 3 radiators HR92 valves on the same thermostat ? So I coul change the temperature of the 3 radiators with the Y87RF in the same time
Hi John, Thank you for this. My thermostat seems having a set temperature "stuck" at 17.5c so when I increase the desired temperature (by rotating clockwise the wheel) to anything above 17.c it does not activate the boiler central heating. There is no factory reset button but I think the 17.5c has been set as the maximum temperature ( when 17.5 shows the upward and downward little arrows show too) and that is what I need to change and bring it to say 35c to llow me to have heating when asking for say 23c. How do I unstuck the 17.5c set; is it the max temperature set ? thank you
Hi Does the Room Sensor Controller the Wireless Radiator Valve in the same room? I was sold a system that I expected the room sensor to control the Wireless Valve and bring on the boiler. So far, even thought I have bound the zones sensors and wireless radiator valves. The only control is from the wireless radiator valves!! Thanks JR
John Russell You haven't given any detail about what components you have so I cant easily comment, but it sounds like you have bound the temperature sensor in the wireless radiator valve to the zone rather than an external room temperature sensor. I suggest that you run through the following free online evohome installer course from Honeywell: youlearn.honeywelluk.com/courses that should answer most of your questions. Hope that helps.
Thanks for that. I am a Honeywell Centraline Partner, but am using Evohome for the first time. I have the Y87RF sensors, Evohome Controller, (built in Wifi) HR92 Radiator Valves, boiler & hot water kits. At the moment, only the radiator vales control I have seen that in need to set the sensors to "CO" before binding. I will Start over and try again. I will look at the training course you kindly sent. Regards John Russell
Hi John Thanks for your videos very helpful I am hoping you can answer a question I have currently 3 zone valves which are controlled by Wireless Siemens Stats I am trying to find out if I can Bind 3 BDR91 relay boxes to 3 zones on the evo controller and then use them to replace my existing relays of course bound to new Honeywell stats the valve end limits currently switch demand on boiler which works fine basically I am trying to find out how many BDR91 zones the evo can handle thanks myles
+Myles Meagher Yes 3 BDR91s and 3 zones are fine. 12 zones were the maximum the last time I looked. I recommend taking the free online installer course here youlearn.honeywelluk.com/ Also keep BDR91s 300mm apart and away from any metal. Reset / clear bindings on everything before you start. Regards, Nigel
Thanks I looked at online course but they concentrate very much on radiator valves so very little about stats connected to zone valves they cover a little about s and y systems but not much more so glad to hear you can use more than 2 stats on the gateway remote pack it only supports 2 wireless stats thanks again
Do you happen to have a wiring diagram? I am trying to set up multi-zone in my home and i do have the base controller and the Y87RF thermostat. I am just not sure how do i connect the 2nd thermostat to the system. I have connected base controler/RF module to the boiler already - and this seems to be working fine.
+Infinit0s Lookup a Honeywell S Plan + (plus). Wiring diagram. Basically you should have multiple zone valves, each with its own bdr91 relay. Then you bind a zone to each bdr91.
Thank you for the reply, i see. Since i only have 2 valves (1 for heating and 2nd for water) the Y87 is redundant now - i need to fit more valves in place and redo plumbing. I guess at the moment i am just gonna buy TRVs
I see. Well in that case your probably better off buying the trv HR92 controllers. You can use the Y87RF as a thermostat in any zone, even if they are operated by the HR92 controller or the base controller.

Hi Please can you show us how to link three of these thermostat Y87RF to the underfloor heating module on Evo home

I can’t get my my phone to control my solo Honeywell boiler.. someone help!

Yes, if it's used with the evohome system.

Same thing to me al 14.5. I think my thermostat is desd
I have exactly the same problem. Can you tell me how you fixed it?

John Russell Clear the existing binding on the Y87RF first see here: ua-cam.com/video/prDupxp5lWA/v-deo.html

How do you change a battery in this model?

Dose it have a Bult in stat
