These are fantastic tips. I've got too many kills in the jet and I'm just now starting to master the third person speed control and some of these tips are as good as the tips I've gotten from some of the best dogfighters. Nice Video.
A normal brake brakes the landing gear in air vehicles, the gear is usually retracted while flying, because it makes the aircraft more stream-line formed and while the gear is retracted, they are on the inside of the body, airbrakes is a device attached usually on the top side of the wings(flaps on the underside) and if they are used together, it slows the aircraft down by alot, because it is not as stream-line formed as it was before, so there is more air resistance actually hitting the plane.
Thanks! Now I know what to look at in dogfights. I always hear "Keep it inbetween 300 and 320" and "Tap the afterburners when going up and brake coming down" but never fully understood when to do that. Now I do know and I am eager to get on the battlefield.
I was finding any video like this and they are not helpful for lack of tips but hey.... finally a video which would help me maintain my speed and brought me to a 57 and 0 on caspian border thanks for the tip and have a nice day
Winged aircraft slow down by increasing the friction between the craft itself and the air it's travelling through. This is usually done by extending flaps, to act sort of like parachutes. The brakes in a car, for comparison, operate by stopping the wheels from spinning.
May I suggest a tip for a future video. Rolling side to side slightly to aid tighter turns. It seems to help me and I've seen you and others do it, it would be awesome to see you make a quick tip video on it. Also generally how yaw and roll should be used in dogfighting.
the only for a jet to break in the air is to increase the drag on the air craft, normally done by extending flaps to increase the surface area of the jet how did you think and aircraft brakes?
Great question... I'm trying hard to learn how to dominate jet enginee and suffering with the same: I look to my radar, evade to logical situation and Disabled, becoz I'm pretty sure I'm closing attacker angle but it's inverse...
for turning, do u use ur mouse ? or keyboard, because I use the mouse only for shooting helis, tanks and soldiers, otherwise I use the keyboard to fight with jets in close...
For the next video I suggest to teach tips about how to evaluate where is the other plane in a dog fight. For me Air radar is a tool to have a flat horizontal view, it dosent perfectly help for vertical or diagonal move. Air radar lag (maybe of 0.5 or 0.25s) and personnaly I've some difficulty to evaluate if the other jet are above or lower of me. Make the scissor move upwards when the other jet are under me give a great chance to my opponent. I know 7.1systeme help, but do you have visual tips?
Aye man you have the best tutorials I seen on youtube... I learned alot from the 5 episodes thanks for helping man. I subcribed to so I will be watching your other ones too and feel free to add more quick jet tips episodes
Any tips on controls to use for maintaining speed? I got into the habit of holding throttle down and tapping afterburner, and while this generally works quite well its nowhere near as consistent as it can be; as these videos show.
Do you think they should give you the speed of your jet in third person to make it easier or do you think that it would be too easy and you get noobs flying around like they own the place?
Does boosting and slowing down repetitavely have any effect on turning while tring to catch up to the enemy? I found that it seems to work well to catch up to them while in a turn/loop cycle
Air brakes stop aircrafts by creating more drag. There's two types of air brakes, for road vehicles and aircrafts. Air brakes used in road vehicles use friction to inhibit movement.
Hi dude i just need some help with Flying Jets Am having problem Controlling speed when am turning it gose 410 to 510 but when i use brake it gose 400 to 200 i really need to know how to control it at 310 please help
"brakes" are just wheel brakes. "Airbrakes" are, like they are called, brakes in the air. Basically an airfoil will extend to increase drag on the plane in flight, slowing it down. on the F-18 for example, a rectangular panel lifts off the top of the airframe, just forward and between the tails.
that's not what i meant^^ i knew there were two different types of brakes on jets i just looked it up and the types are "light brake" and "heavy brake" and i'd like to know what the pros/cons of them are^^
@elitegamerbros do you use a joystick or controller when flying? I use my mouse and its a pain because I keep on having to reset the position so it doesn't go off my desk
Hey Diego... thanks for all the tips and tricks dude. I want to know if you have some info on the keyboard and mouse setup for easy maneuverability? I got a tip ones from a clip to bind your "pitch-up" key to your space bar... :) It helps me a lot, because I don't like to use my mouse for flying, but more for aiming..... Your thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks
Well I'm not really a good English speaker so I've got a question: What exactly does "pitch up" mean? It would be really nice if one of you guys takes a minute to explain it to me.
my tv was never big enough for me to actually see the HUD, so i had to learn how to judge speed in 3rd person, it's not as smooth but now it's like the HUD isn't even a valid option for me
Yeah, I agree. I wish they never put in a 3rd person view. I know it's just a game, but I like to feel like I"m in the jet, not hovering behind it. Hardcore is where it's at, those are the real pilots in BF3.
I will send you an invite. I'm not "the absolute best" in the jet but I do hold my own haha. I rarely get shot down unless it's against some really good pilots, but I figure two people who are decent in the jet together can have and awesome game. I'm service star 3 right now but I bought my copy like a week ago, I played on my brothers for a while; We made it to the 20s in the service stars for jets.
It does it's basically 25. You should try for 20 I personally find it's easiest and safest for me to use while shooting at the newb heli that's 200 meters up while trying not to slam my back into the ground.
These are fantastic tips. I've got too many kills in the jet and I'm just now starting to master the third person speed control and some of these tips are as good as the tips I've gotten from some of the best dogfighters. Nice Video.

Best BF3 jet tutorial/tips video there is. Awesome Diego. Thank you
It's the single best vid that actually helped me start winning dogfights. Thanks!
These are some of the best air tips for BF3 you'll ever find.

the movement that makes the noes of the jet move up

Very good series for new and old jet pilots! The other guy (who was shot down in the video) was me :)
I have a question is there a difference between the F18 and the Flanker in terms of maneuverability?
Any tips on controls to use for maintaining speed? I got into the habit of holding throttle down and tapping afterburner, and while this generally works quite well its nowhere near as consistent as it can be; as these videos show.
best tutorial for speed control i have seen so far, i win more dogfights already, thank you !

que tecla apreto para que el jet largue humo por las aletas??

So what about the thunderbolt? how different is the speed?
what happens to the tail angle when you go to slow?
does anyone know the effective below radar altitude(s) for helos? does it work for transport as well?
that's it buddy :) I don't have any other special settings or key bindings to share with you
Hi dude i just need some help with Flying Jets Am having problem Controlling speed when am turning it gose 410 to 510 but when i use brake it gose 400 to 200 i really need to know how to control it at 310 please help
You got a subscriber, sir :) well done on giving tips for speed(which is my main problem on flying jets)
can u make same Tutorial about RU jet
Can you give some jet tips for hardcore?
Do you have to unlock air brakes or are they already installed

Really good tip today thanks Smashed and Diego!
what's the difference between airbrake and normal brake?^^
How do you go in Third person mode?
I am have the jet service star 60 but this are tips that i didnt know awesome
Well I'm not really a good English speaker so I've got a question:
What exactly does "pitch up" mean?

How do u switch to third person view?
my tv was never big enough for me to actually see the HUD, so i had to learn how to judge speed in 3rd person, it's not as smooth but now it's like the HUD isn't even a valid option for me
This class of ppl kill the funny things on BATTLEFIELD
sorry for the confusion but jets technically have air-brakes - I was just being descriptive ;)

Awesome! These videos are really really helpful!
hi how can be better in f35 jet dogfight
perfect way of explaining how to do this
you fight kulgain yet?
which console :) and whats your id
haimelik ps3
do u hnow how to record your gaming at the ps3??
great thanks from germany :DDD
the altitude reading will get red
ye i won 20-1
these are extremely, useful
much thanks.
Can you do the F-35 next? It's the only jet that I get shot down in.
It does it's basically 25. You should try for 20 I personally find it's easiest and safest for me to use while shooting at the newb heli that's 200 meters up while trying not to slam my back into the ground.
You mean brake turn? When you brake turn your jet is moving at a slower speed, when you are slower you can make sharper turns.
its not a dogfight if you use AA missles dogfights are fights with the main chain gun on the planes
amazing tips
I agree really hard in consoles for me great tips though
so detailed! awesome serie :D
very well done
Am I the only one that thinks of arrested development when the end credits music starts playing?
This is irrelevant to what you said, but nice dogfighting against nightwane. Your scissors are so clean. Good luck in the flabslab tournament.
airbrake is the slowing down of a plane while in air, which is done by using the spoilers of the plane.go search wikipedia
Nice video thanks for the tips.
it's easy to avoid lock ons and it'd easy to out maneuver them and make them miss.
CHOICE
Thanks dude
Thank you for your work, sir. :)
Time to put red and green tape strips on my screen.
Its hard to stay at 310.
yes
Just earned a sub
no matter how hard i try theres always a better pilot in the sky these days either that i run into those really thin poles
IGLA/stinger now ignores below radar
I need to work on my air vehicles and shotgunning. Two things Im horrid at.
dude you are my hero , thanks for the tips :)
P.s: subscribed
Thanks a lot.
Please keep making these :D
below 25 and it does work for helis
i know you probably already have an answer but no, transport helicopters don't have below radar
yup ;)
google image "pitch up" ;)
Am I the only one here who plays hardcore exclusively? I've never seen 3rd person view for at least 6 months. Feels weird watching this.
i cant see anything in the jet so i dont use it
i have a crapy tv
it requires practice default jet speed is 340
Hey bro thanks for replying to that comment i posted!
wow man thats a gud idea, i'll try it too lol
its harder to do anything on console
I just can't get myself to fly in a 3rd person view.
i believe 25 meters
You have to park them somehow, don't you?
@GumMagnum
lol thank you
Best
