The part where Bobby told both Babyface & LA Reid that both of them were Jody Watley was funny as hell. I couldn't stop laughing for at least 5 minutes after he said that
@@kirstenewings9811 same thing I thought lol but it was abt Janet Jackson and his song don’t be cruel was also abt Janet, it was a line where he said “from fancy car to diamond rings” in this movie it showed him bring a fancy car to Janet house but she couldn’t take it bc of her husband lol
I've waited for this moment For such a long time... Now that you're here with me.. Listen to me... This one's dedicated to... "My angel" M..He ah.. Bet you're wondering who that is? Well, She knows
Correct me if I am wrong: I read somewhere that Bobby Brown had a HUGE CRUSH on Janet Jackson and dedicated this song to her. When BB mentioned "it's ok, thickness", he was referencing Janet Jackson. Both BB and JJ actually dated around the time the 'Don't be Cruel' Album was made and released. Sadly, their relationship didn't last long because Joe Jackson, Janet Jackson's father did not like Bobby Brown and therefore objected to him (BB) being with and around his daughter. Also, does anyone here on this forum know whether Janet Jackson was already seeing or already married to Rene Elizondo around the same time BB confessed his feelings for Janet Jackson in this song? Perhaps that's why both BB and JJ couldn't be together. I am just saying.🤷🏾♀️
4 real, Bobby Brown doesn’t get the credit as a vocalist that he should. His tone is just killer, and he has always delivered his lines so soulfully. One of the GREATS
Now that I saw the movie again, I remember when he was on video soul & Donnie Simpson asked him about Janet. Bobby admitted that he was in love with her.
In response to the person who asked if the 2 guys in this specific scene were LA Reid & Babyface. Yes that's the actors who played their parts. Babyface & LA Reid produced the whole album
Damn, I want to see this sooooo badly...but I STILL refuse to go back to cable and satellite services! I'll just WAIT. "The New Edition Story" showed up on HULU, and I finally got the chance to see it. I hope THIS movie follows suit.
Completely changing history. This is just the music video version they are doing with all the ad libs and trying to conflate it with the legendary studio version. Two different versions and legendary both. Clarify that. Don’t just change history.
Agreed. The New Edition movie actually had a storyline. Bobby's movie was mostly highlights with none of the buildup. Disappointing. I thought the Lifetime movie about Whitney (played by Yaya) told the Bobby Brown story well, even if he was portrayed as back-stabbing to Whitney at times.
I have seen this series about 7 times already..This was one of the best scenes for real..He did such a great job playing Bobby B.👏🏾💜
He did one hell of a job...
Literally
My favorite scene
