You might want to look into electric gate lock as well I have seen people punch on the gate and go through it and it mess up the elements on the gate it can harm it not only that if you get a bad wind that can mess it up as well. The gate look's nice great job on it 👍
Looks good! I like the wifes logo - Black Barn Blossoms. I installed the same Gatecrafters Estate Gate about two years ago. The quality seems good, good welds and paint is good. It arrived in almost mint condition, only a couple scratches and it was shipped all the way to California. Its crazy how light it is. Makes things easier on the gate opener and posts.
Looks a beauty bro, it will keep the ordinary trespasser out but not the unsavory ones but ya get that everywhere in society. Nice job guys. Safe travels
Rot Resistance: Rated as non-durable to perishable, with poor insect resistance. Can become discolored and stained when in contact with water, particularly in the porous growth ring areas. Red oak does not have the level of decay and rot resistance that white oak possesses.
Power poles are put in that way now. Fast and easy - two guys were working like dogs after pouring it in threw some dirt over it and then kept stomping on it as it pushed them over the top of the soil. End pole and no sweat.
looking like Beverly hills. you definitely need a electric gate latch to keep the wind from ripping the opener right off its hinges. I just installed one on my gate takes about 30 minutes to install
Cool setup. So now that’s it been running for awhile, do you still like it. Have the large posts moved at all using the foam? Oak posts…are those treated?
Nice gate Hank that should be good and solid and nice job installing it to great work not so hard to do either . should last a long time take care and God bless...
Good looking gate! I need me one. So if emergency people need in or the power company to read your meter they can just slide the pin out of the gate opener and push it open....😁🤗 But a serious question is if you are pulling a long trailer in and the gate starts shutting before you get in will the gate stop as it starts to hit the trailer? I often wondered about that on people's gates. I've never been around one.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm oh OK. Y'all "up town" down there. They still have to drive to the house but don't get out of the truck to read our meters. Water meter is electronic too.
Hi from uk guys👍👋 nice to see you improve the gate speed toosaves waiting a week for old one to open looks great and love the oak posts👌 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon
@@HamiltonvilleFarm 👍 also like the style of post fix expanding stuff 👌 how did It set like for you ok? Never seen that before thats all and you should paint ginas badge gold over black gate would look awesome👌 thanks again for your time sir 👍👋
Make sure you put a surge suppressor on that Estate swing opener. I had one that the board blew out on and Gatecrafters couldn’t supply a replacement. Still have the gates but went a different route with the openers after that experience.
If you like to get your holes straight and plumb, use a speed square. Hold the speed square against the post and use it as a guide to keep your drill bit straight.
Hace you ever thought of using those concrete form tubes as your gate posts? I'm sure you could put the hardware in the form before you pour. Just a thought.
I've never seen anything to set Poles in 5 minutes like that stuff pretty cool and has even holds the weight of the gate Thanks for the videos always good
@@HamiltonvilleFarm oh no worries my bad! Thanks for the quick reply. I'm getting ready to setup my gate but going with ghost. I'm just a retired E7 and don't have that big $$$ you got🤣
Hi Hank. Not looking to bad. Nice gate 👍. Although o think you may run into problems if you want to open the gate further than what it’s set for now. I think you should have hung it on the inside face of the post if your looking from your place to the highway, that way if you need to adjust it to open more you can without having to dismantle things. Just an idea 🙂
Just need some lights or colour perspect so it stands out from the black some colour of a blossom looks good but a bit of colour boom anyway all the best to you all
The best chance of giving those posts a decent life would have been to tar the bottoms that is in the ground to the top and then cement, it would have kept the bugs and water out. I would coat the upper part with a clear polyurethane with a UV protectant. As it is right now, the bottoms of the posts will act like a wick and draw up water, the bottoms of the posts will turn black and rotting will begin. I give them 6 years tops before they crack off. Ask me how I know....
Crazy fast and easy All u gotta do is just click a few times and call few people with your credit card ready for that crazy fast charging on your credit card. And here I was hoping to learning to weld and create new things but nope
I KNOW , U DID BOTH WAY PULLING POST OUT OF THE GROUND / LOADER BUCKET WILL BE BEST WAY EVERYTIME / WANT HURT REAR END FENDER LIKE U ALL MOST DID ? CURL LOADER BUCKET COMPLETE OPEN LOWER BUCKET ALL MOST 12 INCH FROM GROUND THEN TIE CHAIN AROUND THE POST THEN PULL UP POST , EZ - AS PIE !

Thanks 👍 Indeed

Oak posts…are those treated?
Answer please
Just a little advice for the future paint or seal the post where it goes underground it prevents moisture and termite damage.
The fast2k is supposed to seal it👍
@@HamiltonvilleFarm you have to do the bottom of the post as well it also helps to put 4-6 inches of gravel for drainage under the posts.
Congrats on your electric gate. It looks awesome ! I am planning and saving for mine now for my desert cabin
You want to go to Birmingham you need to leave very early in the morning. From Florida I would say about midnight early.

It has a "push back" sensor so it will not keep going if it hit your trailer. We don't have meter readers :)

Hello Hamiltonville farm you should purchase a Coleman powersports utv!
Hey Hank can you cover the cost for the gate and opener please for anyone interested in similar setup. Thanks brother!
The gate and opener prices are on the website. I usually don’t talk about prices because prices change so fast now days.

Can you post a link to where you purchased the gate from?

You might want to finish the fence past 6’, those rascally trespassers just might drive around the end of your fence !!
For going out you may put a stop here line so gate doesn't take out the vehicle :)
Good idea
Still not ready to tell us those three things huh?
