Jason Aldean was the performer on stage when the Vegas shooting happened. Small towns are also ethnically diverse. Everyone knows everyone else. No way would we stand back and do nothing if the rioting/looting happened here..........those businesses are owned by our neighbors/friends. Everyone has everyone else's back in a small town regardless of color/politics/social status. I've lived in cities and barely knew my neighbors so there was no community feeling. The gun verse was about the governments war on second amendment rights. If you want to hear another side of this artist listen to his song Dirt Road Anthem!

Antiva was paid by wealthy people. They announced a protest two towns away from me. All the store owners family and friends lined the streets with guns. Antiva arrived and never got off their busses. The busses just drove into and out of town without incident. That’s what a small town is all about.
I live in a city of 14000 and they did try to our Walmart, assulted and elderly couple and it was glove off. They walked like maybe a mile from their buses and by time they got to Walmart the news was out and people went there (guns loaded). All the police could do was tell them to leave and they did with there tail between their legs. They stopped the elderly couple from being harmed more and surrounded them, nobody got hurt except the older couple for the towns people out numbered them. But why would someone hate so much they attack old people, that is demonic.
They did it because they are cowards. Cowards feed off of the weak and vulnerable.

From a small farming town in Norther Canada, this would not happen. Our closest Police are 30 mins away, and that's on a good day in the summer, in winter it's up to you. We all know each other in town, the General store, post office, liquor store, gas attendant and restaurant. No matter who you are, if you need help, someone is there and will always step in, and look after anyone in our town.

As an Italian/American we stick together. At the same time respect and protect our neighborhood no matter what you look like. The reason I mentioned my ethnicity is because the largest mass lynching happened in 1897 or so in Louisiana on Italian men who were innocent. My maternal grandmother called me and my dad “the N word”

In small towns folks know each other. In the town my kids grew up in, if my kids were doing crap I would be told right away and other adults would put a stop to it. Our neighbors are the cops, are the stores owners, and we dont want out folks destroyed by outside anarchists coming in. I wish the inner city folks and parents would stop their kids and outside folks coming into ruin their areas.

Lived and grew up in a small town one blinking light in the whole town. We had a family happened to be “black”, they had a fire and lost all food lots of clothing and their house. They were offered to stay in a house that a (“white”)family used as a vacation home, myself and a few others(“white”) went out and got a few deer for them so they could have a good amount of food for the winter, the town mostly(“white”) donated clothing for them to go through to see if/what they would wear. The insurance company was smoking crack and told them they couldn’t get out and tear down the old burnt house to get a new one started for 5 1/2 months so some of us had equipment and had it down and cleaned up in a weekend, boxed and saved anything we could or looked like it would have significance to the family and returned it to them. This was in 2003 we were 10 graders and you would never see or hear anyone say anything about skin color then! Now it’s all anyone wants to know first. I don’t like the white and black labels we are all Americans.

A lynching that took place in 1927, The movie Hannah Montana was filmed at that very courthouse by Disney, Nobody was offended about that !! It's sickening when the left tries to find racist things to fit their narrative, but ignores the fact that they are a part of what they claim is racist !! If you grew up in a small town you know everybody. You may not be friends with everybody but you know the family who owns the small store on the main street. You come into any small town and riot or cause harm. The locals have no problem stepping in and stepping you out. If that town has police and/or the county Sheriff has no problem with citizens stopping crime or defending themselves. We don't stand for that City BS. Otherwise.. come see us in a small town.. nothing but Love and Respect if come for all the good reasons. :)

I dont understand how all these people are so against this song. I grew up in a small town. Me and my buddy Dane were both low income area. Some college boys from the big city came to a festival and tried some stupid crap. Even kids we didn’t get along with stood together because that was our home town. We put up with zero disrespect in our town.

And to add to that, Aldean made 2 videos. First was the promotion video(the lyrics video) which is the biggest red flag for me. From that he made the 2nd video,(the actual music video) which in my opinion he doubles down the undertones that highly questionable and telling. All through a visual perspective.

My dad lives in a small town in the country and they look out for the members of the community which is diverse in the country. I can't believe people were saying this was a racist song, I don't get it.
This video was recorded about an hour away from where I live. It was recorded at the courthouse in Columbia TN. People say the video is racist because way back generations ago a black man was hanged there. Jason was not aware of the history of the courthouse. He only recorded it there because that is his hometown. Also you don’t see any black people in the video.

anyone who believes this song is racist are actually the true racists because nothing about this video pointed out any particular race yet people just assume it is about a particular race because of the stereotypes. #1 They say the building that it was shot in front of was were the Lynching of a young black man over a 100 years ago TRUE HISTORY But In all reality, any building in the United States That Is over 100 years old, most likely has A similar history Also, this building has been used in more than 20 movies Over the years (one being hannah, montana, one being the green mile) also this building is local to his residents

#3 When someone says small town and we take care of our own. That is not a color because People of every race live in small communities also.
