I met him a few days before he passed away, it was a chance meeting as he lived in my neighbourhood in London. I greeted him and said, if we could have a photo, he said "photo leke kya karoge, social media pe lgaoge - guftagu kijiye, saari zindagi ye mulaqat yaad rahegi", then we spoke about his experience in London and I will simply never forget his words...

It's not. The film was a big controversy because people kept referring the film as Humayun Ahmed's biography but the director later cleared that it was just a fiction. Don't spread misinformation.

Watched the movie in Netflix. Absolutely marvelous! Mostafa Sarwar Farooki is a great director, and Irfan Khan is one of the BEST actors of international cinema! Irfan Khan portrayed the character of Javed Hassan in a way that seemed so real! The story is captivating. What I liked most is that the director focused on the emotional turbulence of the family rather than on the scandal. The reactions of the wife, children (especially Nusrat Imrose Tisha in the role of the daughter), their struggle to overcome the shock and humiliation, and finally reconstruction of their lives is treated with dignity and amazing strength! Hats off to the director and the entire team. We miss Irfan Khan! He's gone too soon. And Nusrat Imrose Tisha is amazing, as always!!

Though I'm a fan of Irrfan but being a Bangladeshi I shall tell you what a fraud this Mostafa Sarwar Farooki is. He portrayed the life of one of the greatest writer, film maker of Bangladesh late Humayun Ahmed who is loved by million. If you knoe about Hunayun sir and see the film, you will know what I'm talking about. But Farooki and his blind fandom do not realise it. Because he has done some good film and somehow got Internationally recognised. As a Bnagladeshi I feel ashamed. And this kind of promotion actually breaking heart of million of people like me who are a fan of the great Humayun Ahmed. I know its a big achievement that platform like Netflix is working with our deshi directors but I urge please do not fall in any trap of this fraud director. If you find about Humayun Ahmed you will be amazed. And someday you might consider making webseries, films, short films based on this great writer's book. Thank you and please consider the matter
