So the rumour goes, that Connor was considering going back on but saw the state of his team in the locker room (as they were pretty broken up as you can imagine) and decided to stay with the team instead. He also had stood by the bench as each of the players were going off and shock hands or hugged each of them so he probably knew they needed support.
Also who wants to be in a picture with Gary after you lost like that. F that.
It was the first time a non goalie had won the conn Smythe on the losing side since Reggie Leach in 1976. It was only the third time in history a team down 3-0 got to game 7 the last team before Edmonton was the 1945 Detroit Red Wings (also lost). Last/Only team to win the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1942

@@DNReacts To answer one of the questions asked, any of the Vancouver series, Leafs vs Bruins and Stars vs Knights were great! Really, the only bad series was the Rangers sweeping the Caps

They seriously didn’t show McDavid walking all of the panthers in game 5?

2:30 this was INSANE, 2 goals in 9 seconds to take the lead. With 2 minutes left in the game!!! Maddness

The Matt Duchene goal was great as the game winner because it was against his old team lol.
Also I'm really happy that Reinhart got resigned because he was up for being a free agent but his stellar year was definitely warranted to get a pay-day.

That's the first time watching any of the play-off's back since we lost game 7, it's been difficult. It's been said they missed Cory Perry's goal after McDavid went through the Panthers after a 2 minute shift, that and McDavid's goal against the Star's which you talked over for me the best of the bunch.
Rumours abound and nothing confirmed, but McDavid played with an abdominal injury that will need surgery after he's got married and Draisaitl played with a broken rib and finger from the Vancouver series onwards. Talking of that series, that was the best hockey for sure, the final had to many no shows in games from both teams.

12:07 Not quite... the fastest time for a team to score 2 consecutive goals is 2 seconds, which was broken in 2018 by the Montréal Canadiens (my team BTW) while the previous record was 3 seconds (which was set in 1935 by the defunct St. Louis Eagles, who only played ONE season in the NHL)

The Oilers va Canucks probably the closest and tightest series. Plus all the comebacks the Canucks did against Nashville

  • @evaneconomos4562

Canucks VS Oilers was an amazing series probably my favorite

The Oilers had a very good day when free agency opened up on July 1st earlier in the week. They resigned all the players that they wanted to keep and upgraded their forwards by adding Arvidsson and Skinner (Jeff Skinner who is a forward not to be confused with Stuart Skinner the Oilers netminder). All of the players that they signed could have gotten more money with other teams but they wanted to play in Edmonton for a run at the cup next year so took a bit less money.
With regards to McDavid not going out to get the Conn Smythe trophy, it was reported he was planning on going out to receive the award but when he saw how down the team was in the locker room after the game he felt as their captain it was more important for him to be there at that time. (Reported By Sportsnets Elliot Friedman)

I think the best series, or rather the most entertaining, in Round 1 was Dallas vs Vegas, and Round 2 was Vancouver vs Edmonton. Both conference finals were pretty entertaining, and of course the cup final speaks for itself.

McDavid didn't come out because he wanted to be with his team and if he come out he was going to get booed because Florida fans thought Bobrovsky should have won nick and damo this is only thrid team a losing player won the mvp

Nothing gets your blood pressure up like playoff hockey…. But my Cats got the cup. I am surprised that they only had 2 goals in this entire video tho. Plenty of goals show against them but only 2 for. Between that and teams not showing respect at the draft the Cats are gonna run it back

Great stuff , lads. I've been waiting for you to do some hockey. There's some great videos from this playoff and Stanley Cup that you need to check out. The saves by my dude Bob alone are ridiculous. After 30 years, mates. My boys finally did it. I was legit crying when we won. 😭😭😭 Bob got robbed of the Conn Smythe. Tkachuk is pronounced Ka-Chuck. We call him Chucky.. GO CATS GO

The New York Rangers finished the season with the most points-- winning the "Presidents Trophy". There's a sort of curse with that trophy. Few teams that win the Regular Season go on to win the Cup. (there are exceptions) The "Curse" is real in a sense: What it takes to finish first in the Regular Season isn't always what it takes to win the Cup. Regular Season and Playoffs being two different beasts.

Round 2 Pacific #2 Edmonton vs. Pacific #1 Vancouver should be unanimously accepted as the best series of the playoffs by neutral fans, at least that is the vibe I got from the online opinion.
SCF might be it too, it was an unreal series but as an Oilers fan I'm still wishing the Reverse Sweep went down. Grats Panthers, did enough early to close it out late! (Turtle still sucks)

10:30 McDavid didn't come out to get the Conn Smythe Trophy because he lost the game and the Stanley Cup is THE big goal they play for. The individual award meant nothing to him after they lost the Cup. 5-)

Playoff highlights for me: Fun to watch Vancouver, a team that was the official "Tire Fire in a Dumpster" just a year or so ago. Brad Marchand of the Bruins saying the quiet parts out loud concerning players deliberately trying to injure each other. And of course watching the Final, and the near reverse sweep. I didn't know I had a dog in that fight until Edmonstan lost. Would have loved to see the Panthers lose that.

Ah, another vid where the original content is not in chronological order. This is a pitfall when doing reaction videos to something you've never seen, I suppose. If I were you blokes, I'd have given it a thumbs down.

A lot of teams will "hide" injuries during the playoffs. Opposing teams will target injuries. It really is a hard championship to win.
